I've been to TSAOCHA a bunch of times, and it's always a blast! There are so many different options to choose from, it's hard to decide what to get. The Boba shop is a great place to hang out with friends and chat. I recommend trying the 50% or 70% sweet boba, unless you're a super sweet tooth.

Receipt showing the charges for extras we didn't receive.

My family and I feel deeply disappointed by how Tsaocha treated us on our recent visit. The drinks the attendants prepared were all severely botched and we were blatantly charged for extras we did not receive. All three shop attendants working on the order did not follow the orders we placed in their electronic kiosk, and they all went along with the screw-up - they slipped us seriously messed-up handiwork and hoped we wouldn't notice. The least they could have done would be to tell us they could not honor our orders and just cancel them. Nope - we got a full charge for "wait, what drinks are these, and why are they all so dreadfully bad?" With our botched drinks regrettably in hand, and feeling sadness about the loss of the team's scruples, we now hope to not return if this is Tsaocha's standard of service. This frustrating experience with Tsaocha is a significant departure from our first visit in 2023, when our orders were always prepared correctly and the drinks were chock full of toppings - we used to get what we paid for, and we used to see and taste the quality. But, today, this is not the same Tsaocha. Don't let them take advantage of you. Disappointment and grift are their products. The shop also felt more grimy than we remember, and has far less seating. It also now has several intrusive, crowded shelves and display cases lining the walls, each crammed with miniature figurines and trinkets for sale. This junky interior feel, plus the cold demeanor of the attendants, made for an unwelcoming space. We wanted to get out, fast. Here were the issues with our drinks: All bursting boba in all three drinks were already popped when the drinks were given to us. One guava milk tea drink was incorrectly given strawberry bursting boba when there should have only been tapioca boba. (The drinker strongly dislikes strawberry bursting boba, so we paid for a drink we never wanted.) One lemon milk tea drink was incorrectly given gobs of foam when we ordered no foam, thereby reducing the actual beverage in the cup by half. (We got half the drink, so we paid double.) One other lemon milk tea drink was incorrectly given 2x boba when we had ordered 6x boba, but we were charged for the non-existent 4x boba. (We paid a premium for those bobas we never received.) *This review has been cross-posted on Google Maps Reviews.*

Really disappointing. Ordered the 杨枝甘露 and it doesn't taste anything like it should. Scheduled the pick up when I ordered online and they made it early and had it sitting in what I assumed was an uncooled contraption. See what is on the website with what we got.

Korean hot dog (but where's the meat?)

The boba drinks are great, the interior ambiance is great... yet I'm confused about their hot dog! I ordered the Mango and Coconut Milk Tea with exploding mango bubbles. It was lovely, very fruity and sweet and bold-flavored. I also tried the Double Milk Purple boba, and it was creamier and a bit more neutral, so nicely balanced. As good as the drinks were, the interior ambiance was equally so. It looked instantly inviting upon walking in, transporting you to another place. I love how it looks! My one confusion point was the Korean Hot Dog. Perhaps this is my lack of knowledge with the dish, so take this with a grain of salt. I expected a hot dog surrounded by breading and potatoes. What I got was a stick of fried cheese and potatoes in breading, which tasted good... but there was no meat. I was seeking that protein taste to help offset the sugar from the boba, but oh well. Otherwise, this was a nice shop that I would recommend for its drinks and as a cute hangout spot.

If you're looking for delicious and high quality boba, Tsaocha is the place to be! We absolutely loved our drinks, they were super refreshing and flavorful! I especially loved the fruit mixed in with the bubble tea - I had the guava lime tea and it had freeze dried guava inside! The service was friendly and the ambiance was super cute and fun!

Omg, I love this place and how the interior is so cute and well thought out. Ordering here is relatively easy; you can order through the iPad or the front desk (if someone is serving there). I've been here multiple times, and the drinks are always the same every time I come here--delicious! My favorite drink of choice is the double purple milk tea with bubbles. I've also tried their macaroons and the red bean taiyaki. There are plenty of parking spaces for this establishment. The drinks and treats stayed consistent, and the vibe was good. I highly recommend this place!

    the gorgeous decor

this place was literally the cutest place. I've seen in a while., the decor was a 10 out of 10, the service was absolutely fabulous and the food was even more delicious than I could've imagined. Highly recommend for a cute little date.

    5. Pink Peach Green Tea

It struck me as legit. This place offers a range of things you can do with tea. I usually go for the fruity green tea flavors, but there was plenty else that struck me as worth trying. My pink melon tea had a significant quantity of actual fruit in it, which was crushed up enough that most of it would come up in a straw (though not all). The choice of sugar level and ice level was welcome, and the half sugar I went for definitely was noticeably less sweet than other similar beverages I've had, which was a good thing. Conversely, I asked for full ice and while almost every other place gives me too much ice, this was the one time I might have wanted more, at least if it was a hot day. The popping boba I added were definitely worthwhile, with little seeds evident inside. It struck me as a quality stuff. They also offered waffles, which I could see being worth trying, and the choices of teas and toppings were many. The one option they didn't seem to have was non-dairy milk, which is not a deal breaker for me but might relegate some to the milk-free options. I was a bit disappointed that no loyalty card or customer rewards program was evident, as it is in a location that I could see coming back to with some regularity.

This place just makes me happy. First of all it is so full of cuteness and color that you can't help but smile when you walk in the door. Then the menu... So many different things to choose from. I've had mango bubble tea with milk foam (super mango flavor. If you like mango, highly recommend). Peach bubble tea with milk foam (also recommend if you like peach!). This time I got the mashed taro milk tea with bubbles. Also asked for it hot! So good! Loved the taro pieces inside too. Perfect for the snowy day. Finally don't forget the snack! Hong Kong style waffle is always a good choice. Today's choice was matcha. Perfect amount of sweet, chewy, and crispy outside. Yum!!

So excited to have a juice and milk boba tea place in Lexington (I used to get it once a week in Boston)!! My bf and I excitedly went Friday around 7pm. We got the (summer special) Watermelon and Pineapple Green Tea with herb jelly and the Pink Peach Green Tea with mango jelly. Overall the place was so cute and the quality of the cups (I know!) are better than most places we've been. Flavor is good and very customizable with ice and sugar levels. Will definitely come back next week!

The Takoyaki was amazing! It has octopus inside and dashi on top and the macarons were absolutely delicious! Also, you can't go there without ordering their Egg waffle cone with oreo ice cream and one of their amazing drinks. Instagram: @foodbytiana

Tsaocaa/Tsaocha is a boba chain from china. Owners are super friendly! I ordered a drink with less ice and when my cup was left with an inch of space on top, the owners didn't mind to fill up the cup full. Lots of variety of teas and toppings on the menu. They have regular brewed teas, milk teas, fruit teas, sparkling fruit teas, and slushies. For food, they only serve egg waffle. The only downside is that the place is small (as you can see from the photos), so it's more a grab and go place (ps. they offer doordash) It's the most authentic boba shop you'll find in Lexington. 5/4 was their official first day of opening and I've already been there twice! LOL Also, they are closed Mondays but are open Tue - Sun 1pm to late (8p or 9pm, can't remember)

I was so excited when I saw this place. Most local boba tea shops have very few options for actual tea. I ordered a black oolong rose milk tea and the drink came out white. It mostly just tasted like milk with a hint of rose. Very disappointing experience. Idk who would serve someone a black milk tea that was off white colored. I might go back, will definitely ask for it to be remade next time.

We recently discovered JY Kitchen, although they've been in business since 2018. Sincerely, this…read moresmall place is spectacularly good: everything we've had has been pretty much the best example of every such dish. The Beef Bulgogi, the Creamy Crab Egg Roll (basically their Crab Rangoon), the Spicy Pork (my gosh that sauce is exquisitely good!), and the list goes on. Even so, the Pancake with Shrimp and Zucchini just knocked us over. The very nice man (of the couple who have the place) tells you not to eat all you want of it, because then you won't be able to eat your entree dish lol (and he's quite right). He said to take the rest home and enjoy it for breakfast, which we did. He's very careful to communicate information about what you've ordered (or are planning to order), such as that it doesn't come spicy unless you want it spicy, and then if you do, he's careful to find out how spicy you want it, and then, after he brings it, he even tells you how many grams of hot spice they put into it (23 grams, for my Bulgogi, which was perfect but which could have been adjusted either way after that to really dial into what a person is comfortable with)! They make everything themselves, down to the miso soup and the amazing gochujang sauce (I've never had better and I'm pretty sure I never will). The wife is the chef, and I think she's a culinary genius (and have told her so). And they're both just so sweet and nice, and are very, very good at what they do. The place isn't fancy, and isn't even obvious as you drive down the street looking for it, but anyone who appreciates tasty authentic Korean food would be wise indeed to make it a point to experience JY Kitchen. Looking forward to trying the next thing on the menu when we go back (but we need to give them a break from us - we've been there about once a week for the last 3 weeks and we live 30 minutes away lol).

It was nice, as we had the entire room to ourselves, and the owner frequently came in to check up on us with how the food was tasting. The food itself was very tasty. The meal was very filling. We particularly enjoyed the scallion pancake, and the seasoning on the meat. Overall, a good dining experience at a reasonable price.

So as a reviewer I have always reviewed places I have visited from a perspective of pleasure or…read moredispleasure, but they have always been places I am somewhat familiar with. Tonight I stepped well out my "normal" to experience something untypical from my usual. As the old adage goes, "Try it, you might like it". Tonight my wife and I ate at the KPot to celebrate my son's birthday. He and his wife joined us. We were a party of four. I'll be honest, I didn't necessarily enjoy my time spent there. But here is the anomaly to my typical review. It wasn't because the establishment did anything wrong. It just wasn't my jam. I will be honest, I didn't see a lot of gray hair there. I'm pushing fifty and the crowd I saw was the 20-35 crowd. Some families but not the overwhelming demographic. It seemed more like single and mingle and bff night out kind of crowd. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but we don't really fit that demographic. So despite my own lackluster feelings, let me give an honest review here. What was good? Let's start there. Parking lot fairly large and well lit. Greeted at the door with a smile. Wait was about fifteen minutes. Bathroom...impeccably clean. Dining area, also very clean. Tables were clean and all stations worked. Seating was ample. The atmosphere is modern and retro. Waiters work alongside robots to provide food to the tables. It has a very contemporary ambience. Everything brought to the table was fresh and well presented. We purchased the K Pot and the barbecue so we could immerse ourselves in the complete experience. The food tased good. Here is what I didn't care for. First, when stuff was brought to the table, no one explained what each service was and we lost track of what was delivered to our table. We all kind of sat there trying to figure out which service had been delivered to the table and whose order had arrived. Four people cooking became a little chaotic to suit me. Again, just not my thing. I enjoy sitting down and relaxing while someone else cooks my meal. Doing so myself was not relaxing. I didn't like having to wait between courses to heat up the rest of my meal before eating it. Had I understood the concept better I may have timed my eating while cooking was being done, I don't know. The other thing that contributed to my lackluster experience was that all the sauces were listed using their traditional names, which gave me no indication of what they tasted like. Part of the fun I guess is experimenting, but again, I'd much rather just order something I know I enjoy eating. The guessing game was not something I found appellate. We also found that after awhile of eating and ordering, the waiter came around less often and our plates no longer were cleared by bus staff. We started to genuinely feel like we were subliminally being pushed out. Our waiter wasn't bad but nothing stood out per se about his service. I went for quite awhile with an empty drink and had to ask twice for the same refill. Given some of the spicy stuff I was trying, a fresh beverage would have been appreciated. Here is my honest take. If you like a modern and unique dining experience, this is a great place to go. It does not have a cozy or romantic feel. It is very "hip" atmosphere. I left full. I left having had a new experience in life. My family had a good time together celebrating my son's birthday. It was a win. The last thing I have to mention is price. My daughter in law had a ten dollar drink but other than that we all did standard soda or water drinks. Our bill was almost $200. Some may argue that's fair. It seemed a little high for food I had to cook on my own. I honestly probably won't be back, but that is no fault of this establishment. They run a clean friendly restaurant and it's worth eating there at the very least, once. For that reason I give it five stars! If this is your jam, you'll like jamming here. If it's not, you came you saw and you left full. If you didn't, it's your fault!

I've been to this place twice and each time I walk out feeling like I won't be able to eat again…read morefor days. Each experience was really great, but I just can't stop myself from over-indulging with the unlimited options. I feel like you have to devote at least two hours to get the full experience and really enjoy all the different things. Be prepared to focus on cooking all of your food during a visit here. That's really what it's all about. A huge selection of meats and vegetables is available for both hot pot and the Korean bbq and it's hard to not just do both when you only have to pay $5 extra for the additional experience. I would suggest experimenting with different sauce combinations from the bar to go along with the bbq meats. Some of them are not flavorful at all without using sauces. I found the hot pot to be pretty flavorful, though. My only complaint about this place is that they don't really give you enough detail on how to pace yourself and order in phases instead of ordering everything upfront and being overwhelmed. It might have just been our server, but we felt the service was great although not enough detail was provided on how to cook the food appropriately. In the end, I love this place and think it's great if you are a meat lover. You can certainly get away with just all vegetables and rice/noodles as well. If I came here more often, I would devote each visit to just choosing a few specific meats so I could fully enjoy and avoid being overwhelmed.
