Omakase Sushi, great service and great food. Sat at the bar, very attentive, great recommendations. Cocktails drink very well made. Didn't try the omakase, but had the sashimi, rolls and nigiri. Favorite sushi in Lexington.

The food was delicious and would definitely recommend anyone that's visiting Lexington, Kentucky. All of the food taste was fresh and beautifully crafted. I would also highly recommend getting a lychee martini! The service was quick and staff members were lovely! Lots of locals love this place from I saw and kept the ambiance lively!

Came to celebrate a late birthday lunch and it was such a wonderful experience. The interior was absolutely gorgeous, setting the perfect vibe for the afternoon. We started with the spicy tuna appetizer, which was fresh and flavorful. For my roll, I ordered the Kentucky Hills the Rock Shrimp--fried to perfection--and the Lobster Bomb, which was so unique with hearty chunks of lobster in the sauce. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. To finish, we shared the Matcha Crepe Cake, and it was ah-mazing! I love when a dessert isn't overly sweet, and this one hit the spot. If you enjoy matcha or green tea, this dessert is a must-try!

We visited this sushi restaurant on Christmas Day and had a very pleasant experience overall. The fish was fresh and high quality, and the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming despite the holiday. The only downside was that there was no real bartender available. Still, the quality of the food and the great service made it an enjoyable visit, and we would definitely return. A suggestion would be to have gluten-free options marked on the menu. The server was knowledgeable however, seeing it marked on the menu is so much more helpful when selecting things that are safe to eat for someone who has celiac disease.

Great place to spend a special occasion and splurge. Great service, nice ambiance/vibe and delicious sushi. We will definitely come back again.

So I've been once a few years ago where I did a solo dinner and had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar. The chef was so knowledgeable and an expert craftsman with the 15 piece set. I just went last night for my fathers birthday and let me tell you, it is a sushi experience unlike anything else in Lexington. They have cuts of fish and meat that simply is unparalleled with any other sushi establishment. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any sort of occasion. Don't worry, if you are just a standard/classic sushi roll guy or gal, their offerings are comparable in price to that of any other restaurant in town, but truly elevated.

I'm fortunate to meet up friends once or twice a year in Kentucky. Coming from Hawaii, people are often surprised when I say Lexington is home to good sushi bars. Omakase Sushi and Sake surpasses good and moves into the Great category for me. I've been fortunate to visit twice over the 8 months taking Lexington natives with me and every has commented that it's one of if not the best dining experiences they have had! The Great: Start of with great sushi, freshest ingredients, creative plating, and fantastic options of adult beverages whether it be Sake, Beer, or Whiskey. The A5 Wagyu hot stone appetizer was fantastic as well as a grilled miso glazed cod. The Omakase Nigiri set is the way to go and I love the season salts that lets you play with the flavors. The Good: So many great things my only downside is I don't have access to the large menu! There are so many other items I want to try but I can never pass up the Omakase set! There may be a few items that some newer sushi lovers may find challenging such as the sweet shrimp or sea urchin but I encourage exploration as it is truly a culinary experience. The Okay: I've heard it's at times difficult to get a reservation here so my recommendation is book early! you will not be disappointed. Overall: Omakase Sushi & Sake bar has become my go to Sushi spot whenever I'm fortunate enough to visit. Julius and his staff are amazing hosts and I look forward to visiting again the next time I'm in town!

Food was good. Service was ok, restaurant was empty and they looked around and asked if we had a reservation. We get it but after finally being seated no one came in for over a hour. That put a negative on the ambiance. We will try them again in the future.

My friends and I had a fantastic experience here! There is a very extensive menu so it was hard to choose but we shared some sushi rolls and an app. The presentation is just beautiful! Everything tasted so fresh too. There were several fun cocktails to choose from and a nice sake selection. The service was excellent and our server was very welcoming and helpful.

Great omakase restaurant in Lexington. We were using the notary at the UPS store and I had flagged this on Yelp before landing in KY. Having lived in Japan, I have high standards for omakase and was pleasantly surprised here! The experience from start to finish was excellent. Miki was an excellent server and I loved that our sushi chef was a woman and there is a toto washlet in the restroom. Their crepe cake is from lady m also (appreciate this as a New Yorker and Californian).

The food was excellent (and don't get me started about the soy sauce)! We are going to make Omakase our new "go to spot" for sushi!

I'm Japanese and have traveled to Japan with my dad (who is also a sushi chef) and I was born in California and had many different fish and sushi dishes in Japan, California, and NYC. And I can say that for Lexington, Toku is one out of two places that has the freshest quality of fish here. The Salmon Nigiri - regular, seared and with mayo, are melt in your mouth. The white tuna with yuzu and sea bream with yuzu have a lovely fresh zest to it and the fish texture is so good and a nice switch up to Salmon Nigiri. My boyfriend loves the scallops, yakiniku ribeye, eel, and sweet shrimp. Overall, lovely experience every time:)
