Moon light sushi lemony surprisingly good.

Cute place. Cozy. I will go back. Sushi was filling. I started with a miso soup. I was curious about the tempura cheesecake and it was worth every bite.

Lovely service in this centrally-located, quiet Japanese restaurant. I'd recommend it for a business lunch where you want to have a quiet conversation and be in-and-out, as the food came quickly. Us three diners each decided to order a lunch combination. Two of us went with the 2-roll option and one added on a specialty roll. (You can't swap one of the lunch special rolls for a specialty roll and upcharge.) Of the two rolls I received, I enjoyed the one without crunch more, as the crunch ratio seemed to overwhelm the fish. The other roll was tasty and the salad was nicely dressed.

Great neighborhood spot with a relaxed, quiet vibe. The service was friendly and fast, and the sushi was fresh and tasty. We got the lunch special which was a great price for the amount of food and quality. Will definitely be back!

I like the ambiance of this little sushi restaurant. The hanging plants were lovely. I don't know if they were real or fake. 6 pm on a Wednesday and I was the only dine in customer. Several people came to pick up orders though. I enjoyed having the place to myself! Miso soup was really good. The hot tea was enjoyable and it only costs one dollar. I ordered the Rock N Roll. The roll was perfectly cut into bite size pieces. I only wish it had more fish on it.

Just moved to the area and needed to find a go-to sushi spot! Tsuki Sushi was close by so I decided to try their lunch special. 3 rolls (plus soup or salad) for $14.50 - great deal! The sushi was delicious, fresh, and filling! I had a lot leftover so I took it home for dinner. Side note: they used to be take out only but as of Mother's Day 2022, they offer dining in as well! Looking forward to ordering from Tsuki Sushi again!

I ordered takeout from here twice to eat with my family during my visit in Philly since they really like their sashimi. My first experience was great followed by another superb experience this past weekend for my mom's birthday. The staff actually remembers me from the first time probably from my odd tempura order that my mom requested. The shrimp tempura, sashimi deluxe, which consists of 18 pcs and squid sashimi are my family's favorite. They are extremely accommodating, quick, friendly and not to mention, the prices are reasonable and their sushi/ sashimi are surprisingly very fresh! I love their sweet potato tempura, spicy tuna roll, salmon and white tuna sashimi. Everything we've tried was good so far; this place has officially became our forever go-to Japanese restaurant. And I also really appreciate their curbside pickup service. Highly recommend giving Tsuki Sushi a try.

I went for an early dinner so it was pretty quiet inside. Minimal decoration but very clean. Friendly and attentive waitress. I got the pork gyoza for an appetizer and then three rolls for $16. The gyoza cam out quickly and had a nice crispy bottom. The sushi was fresh and delicious. I probably didn't need all three rolls but I ate every single piece it was so good. Would recommend if you're looking for a casual place to go.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. -Donald Rumsfeld Now listen here, Sushi is overpriced, this is a known known. Had my first take out order here and I of course tried there Sushi, along with the only soup they offer Miso Soup, and an order of there Seafood Gyoza. The Sushi I was hesistant to eat. Something just looked off about it. Look at the close up of the Salmon...this just doesn't look right to me. But I want to acknowledge I could be wrong I guess I will know in a few hours as I ate half the order of the Sashimi which was priced at $10.95 for eight pieces. The Miso soup was pretty average to below average and knowing this place only makes one soup I would not expect much from there sole option of Miso. The Seafood Gyoza wasn't bad. That being said I was debating hard between getting the Seafood Gyoza or Shrimp Shumai which is my go to and when I asked the cashier which she thought was better she could not give me an answer and just told me to get both....ahh cmon people are the days where people that work at the actual restaurant and giving you recommendations on the food they serve over when you ask smh... I would come back for a cheap date night as this is BYOB but not running back.

Got a few rolls for take out. The fish quality was fresh and the rolls were tasty! They have a 3 roll for $13.95 deal. This is a decent but not amazing deal. However the fish quality was great and i love that they give a ton of wasabi. You can't skimp on wasabi! The interior is small but i would def consider coming back to dine in!

A blustery weekend, perfect for some cold sushi in the park. My friend and I split a 3-roll lunch special (~$12) of spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and eel avocado rolls, and ate it on an musty bench in Rittenhouse. Tsuki Sushi currently operates from a takeout window a block or two from the park. Great proximity if I may say so myself. The lunch special comes with a side of soup or salad (we opted for the latter). The rolls were alright. The rice was decently cooked and the fish was okay too. Of the three, I think I liked the eel avocado the most. For the price, 24 little sushis and a side was sufficient for two people. Not exactly first date sushi, but def a good lunch deal if you're in the vicinity!

I like supporting family businesses, and this definitely has a family owned aspect that I really like. The owners are always very friendly and helpful. They do a two and three roll special which I usually get, the fish portions can be small sometimes but the food comes very fast. The rolls feel handmade too, and it's a nice and clean establishment. If you dine in, you get a soup or a salad, too.

Tsuki Sushi is a great casual BYO sushi place near Rittenhouse. It's nothing too glamorous, but it does provide a cute experience with decent sushi. My friend and I came here after most other places were closed and were immediately seated. There are maybe 8-10 tables that can seat 2-6 people each. They have a great 3 roll special that's pretty cheap, and serves a TON of food. My friend and I were so full after eating - we definitely did not need the gyoza appetizer to start. Enjoying wine and sushi in a chill setting is a great way to spend an evening. Overall, it's a nice place for to grab some sushi and BYO with friends. Would definitely come back if I'm around the area.

Royal's announcement on they starting to take reservations, a few months ago, immediately had me in stalker mode. I set a calendar reminder, waited for the day, hopped on & bang- success!! Another Philly weekend awaited, Yea! We arrived at Royal (apologies on review delay, circa April 11), for our 8:30pm high top table reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately- right side corner table ready. It's very dim in Royal, small but mobile and a bit noisy. Nothing unexpected. Skating over service, but they are so noteworthy. Our server was attentive, kind and helpful. They HUSSLE here to bus and clear tables. Timing for patrons arriving and being sat was like it was scripted, it was so flawless. No one waiting at the entrance corridor on arrival. Machine precision. Now, our meal- I'm drooling in my daydreams over it. We tried many plates & loved the portion size to be able to do so. The chicken wings- crisp, thick golden fried and tender. The toro with caviar- silk. A touch of brine, a melt in your mouth pleasure. The grilled octopus had an unassuming spice, mellow char and just the right consistency of chew. My husband ordered a surprise- I was scared. Fish heads. WTF, ok here we go. The plate came- heads on heads, quite the portion. This fish- first bite down, intimidation gone. This is one of the best things we've ever eaten. Succulent, moist fall apart whitefish. Didn't even taste like it was battered, no thickness to the breading. It tasted fried but so clean it didn't make sense how good it was. I don't have words. And now we get to the sushi- and I go completely mute.... There is no description worthy here. We had the Dragon Roll and the Spicy Crab Tempura roll. Can we call them the "Die and gone to heaven rolls". Fall apart fresh. Quality. Restrained, but pronounced. Pure. Insane. How can you describe food you will always remember. One thing though, the restaurant was surprisingly hard to find because there really isn't much signage on the entrance/door. But there's a paper lantern outside, so if you see that, you're in the right place. I had really high expectations coming here and thankfully I wasn't disappointed, although nothing completely blew me away except for the Aka Taka roll. The chirashi bowl was solid overall and had good quality cuts of fish for $52. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, but next time I think I'd personally just order the sakedon instead. The chasu bao also wasn't really worth the $14 in my opinion. It was still good, just not something memorable or mind blowing. Same with the wagyu steak, for $38, it honestly just tasted like a really good steak, and the portion was a little smaller than I expected. My favorite appetizer was definitely the miso eggplant. Such a unique combination of flavors and the eggplant was cooked incredibly soft and well. It almost tasted like a sweet potato with the miso on top, and I would absolutely order it again. But the standout of the night was easily the Aka Taka roll. For a $27 roll, I had very high expectations and somehow they were all met. The roll was stuffed with different cuts of tuna that were unbelievably soft and buttery, and there was this crunch in the middle, maybe daikon? Whatever it was, it added the perfect texture. Honestly, it's something I'd go back just for.
