Crazy roll but subbed the eel out for salmon
    Arielle J.

You guys, 5 stars! Service is excellent, food is delicious, and the variety is amazing. It may sound crazy but I have a toddler... they have pizza and pasta for her!!! On top of that we had an amazing sushi pizza, and a roll I kind of made up and they went with it. The sushi pizza was the best one I've had, very flavorful and filling. You won't be disappointed. And if you have a young child they will let you sit at the table next to the fish tank to entertain them. Will be back again and again.

I was lucky to have a night out with my favorite college bound girl before she packed up and headed to campus for the year - she requested this restaurant when the idea of dinner came up. We went on a Tuesday evening around 8 PM and we were seated immediately. Staff were very friendly and the place is extremely clean. She had the appetizer sampler for 1 and the server nicely accommodated her request to switch one of the items for a small and fair up charge. I had spring rolls and a rainbow dragon roll. The sushi was very fresh tasting and the presentation was lovely. The spring rolls were exactly what spring rolls should be - filled with vegetables, crunchy, and piping hot. The prices at this restaurant are beyond reasonable for the quality you receive. I will continue coming here over similar places in the area.

Came here for lunch. They have great lunch specials. They have excellent Thai chicken soup. A giant bowl is $10. Their Thai lunch specials are $11 which includes a salad or soup. Service is great and the restaurant is fairly quiet. Noodle dishes are all good as is the dishes with vegetables and a protein. Cannot go wrong here!

    Green Curry with Tofu

The food was sooo good! I had the tofu green curry. It wasn't busy when we went tonight. The staff was great. They were friendly and kind. They also serve wine and beer. I thought the prices were alittle expensive.

We waited for menu which seemed ridiculous as we were literally the only people there. The server did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. I asked about the size of the TomKha soup and if they made their own tonkotsu broth. (He said no so ramen was off the table). They didn't have a big pot of TomKha which seems odd for a Thai restaurant. So then I asked about the curries. Which was his favorite. He really didn't have an answer. I asked about massaman curry and asked if it was yellow curry (traditional red, green and yellow curry can be found at most that restaurants). He said it was a little orange, yellow. But it had potato, which is generally a yellow curry, so I just ordered it. When the food came it was beautiful! Colors were vibrant and ingredients were fresh. I'm really picky when it comes to pad Thai, and this was excellent! The yellow curry was really good but would have liked to have been able to add a little spice to it when being prepared. Broccoli was a bit al dente but overall it was very good. We had to get up and request the bill and to go boxes. The server just disappeared. Again... There was one other couple that came in while we were there. Why are we waiting? Clearly we were done and ready for the next step. The service was just really bad! Anyway.. overall, the food is definitely good. We will be back to try the other curries and menu items. I just hope the service is better, because this time around it was really lacking!

For a split second, I thought maybe the place had been rented out for a private party we weren't invited to. But, trusting the good reviews, we decided to stay and risk it. Worst case? We'd get our food before the menus even hit the table. We started with the curry puffs--crispy, warm, nicely seasoned. Solid little bites, though not exactly the type of appetizer you dream about later like an old high school crush. My salad with peanut dressing followed, but the dressing was more watery than I'd like. Tasty, yes, but I like my peanut dressing to hug the lettuce, not run away from it. And then--boom--the Penang curry chicken arrived and stole the spotlight. This was the real deal. The flavors were rich and balanced, with that "made from scratch" depth you can't fake. I asked for mine spicy and they nailed it--just the right amount of heat to make me sweat a little but still want to keep eating. And, I like it hot! Mission accomplished without losing flavor!! My wife went mild, and hers looked like it had been painted in softer pastels while mine was done in neon flames. Same dish, two totally different personalities. The owner came by to chat, and she was a delight. Turns out they grow their own peppers and make all their curries from scratch. Suddenly, it all made sense--the freshness, the layered flavors, the fact that my taste buds felt like they were on a guided tour of Thailand instead of eating reheated sauce from a jar. So yes, the restaurant was empty when we walked in. But this isn't a ghost town--it's a hidden gem. A 30 years in business hidden gem. Next time, I'm bringing more people along, partly for the company and partly so I don't feel like I accidentally booked a private dining experience.

It's a small restaurant but very cozy. Amy, the server was very nice. When I arrived there were a few people eating. The one thing I actually found annoying was the man at the table behind me was on his phone speaking loudly the entire time I was there. He finished dinner maybe moments before I did. I would've appreciated had Amy told him you know not to be on the phone like that while people were eating. It was very very disturbing. Another thing I didn't really like was that they didn't give you a salad or something with your dinner. Most Thai restaurants either give you soup or a salad with your dinner. Now onto the food. The food was delicious. I started with the shrimp a blanket and for dinner I had pad siew. I'm probably not spelling it correctly, but it was very tasty. The portion of noodles was quite large. I got the combination version that's supposed to come with shrimp chicken and beef. There were only two shrimp in my dish which I was not happy about. Overall, it was a good experience. Yes it would've been better if I didn't have a loud man screaming into a phone behind me through the whole meal. And yes, I would've probably enjoyed a salad before my dinner. But overall, it was a good experience and I probably would return.

When we first arrived, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant was nicely decorated, and they had one of the World Cup games playing, which was nice We were initially greeted by our main server, who took our first order. We ordered an alcoholic beverage along with two things to share: the shrimp tempura roll and the sweet potato tempura. The shrimp tempura roll came out first, and the sweet potato tempura took a little longer, but we had no issue with the wait. Both dishes tasted good, and my girlfriend enjoyed them even more than I did. As someone who's still new to sushi, I thought it was a solid introduction. Unfortunately, the service changed after that. Once we finished our first order, we told our server previously, we wanted to order more. A couple of minutes turned into five, then ten, and he never came back to our table. During that time, we noticed him standing at the bar watching the game, and there was no communication that another server would be taking over. Eventually, we flagged down another server, who took care of us for the rest of our meal. She seemed very busy, especially since several employees, including our original server, appeared to be watching the game instead of attending to guests. My girlfriend and I both work in the restaurant industry, so we understand that things can get hectic and that every place has off days. This review isn't meant to be harsh or unfair--we're usually very understanding. However, the lack of communication and the way the service was handled really stood out and took away from what was otherwise a pleasant dining experience. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the service is what left us disappointed. I hope this was simply an off day because I do think this restaurant has potential, and I'd be willing to give it another chance in the future.

The results have been the same every time. "This is the best Asian food I've ever had." "How is this place not filled to the brim with a line around the corner?" "I can't wait to get my favorites next time and try even more new things." The location is very clean. It is fairly quiet inside, though the kitchen is "halfway open" (that's what I'm calling it), so you do get some cooking noises (and smells!) from the kitchen. It definitely lends itself to calm, quiet conversations. The food is just outstanding. There isn't much more to be said about it. Everything we have tried, everything, has been exceptional. We haven't had a bad dish yet. The absolute worst thing I can say about the food is that they tend to overcook their fish. It is a bit dry and tough compared to their sushi, which is also excellent and very fresh. But that's it. Everything else is spectacular. The flavor of the fish is still amazing. You want mild? You'll get amazing flavors. You want spicy? You will be sweating. The katsu chicken has some of the best flavor, and also has the least grease I've ever seen on the dish. I frequently compare it to Boons of Boca. That place is an institution at this point, and has won many awards. And TA One BEATS IT on most dishes. I'm not exaggerating on this. My favorites? The chicken and rice soup. The green salad (some of the best ginger dressing I've ever had). The curries (every one). The katsu chicken. The cashew stir fry....well I could keep going on. But this has been a long review already. Thanks for reading this far!
