I've passed by Tuckahoe Cheesecake for 26 years on every single trip down the shore, and had always heard good things but never bothered to stop. In a hangry rage, my boyfriend made us pull the car over for a slice of the famous cheesecake and I currently hate myself for not stopping here sooner. I have had their cheesecake multiple times over the years. They are good BUT the specialty cakes are often bland compared to my expectations. Ive gotten the Amoretto and if I didn't know it was Amoretto I would have thought it was plain cheesecake. Cookies and cream was good. Plain is good. Today I got a piece of chocolate cordial cake. Looked amazing but was underwhelming. Seemed like it was in the case a day or two too long. Was a bit dryer than I thought it would be. The bites with the cherries at the top were good but the rest of the cake had zero cherries and not very choclatey(I know thats not a word but you get it). The frosting was ok but would have thought it have more cherry flavor. Overall it was ok ...not bad...not great. Not worth $6. Peanut butter egg was very good. Got a pack of chocolate chip cookies and me and the wife agreed they taste like nothing aside from the chips. No taste in the cookie. So bland. They are hard too and I would have liked them softer for as big and thick as they were. Was like biting into a big dog biscuit. Anyway, I'll stick to a piece of plain cheesecake next time. read more

I am a big fan of the graham cracker crust and neither slice had any crust. That being said, I still ate the whole slice of chocolate chip! I wasn't a big fan of their classic cheesecake. I prefer it than Cheesecake Factory, but unfortunate we live no where near Tuckahoe. We try to make a stop when in Jersey for the summer vacations. We have picked up several cheesecakes for birthdays or just for the love of the Tuckahoe Cheesecake. I have never had a disappointing piece. Always fresh and yummy !! That's all my wife and I were able to try because their single slice servings are very generous. I had the key lime cheesecake which had to be the best cheesecake I've ever had. Light and with an excellent key lime taste. I reluctantly let my wife try a bite in exchange for a bite of her carrot cake. Delicious. The place is spotless and everything is made on site. Cookies, a variety of cakes and probably 20 flavors of cheesecake. I think I'm going to give them to my employees for Christmas gifts next Christmas. Tuckahoe might be a strange name to some folks, but it's actually an Indian tribe meaning 'where deer are shy or hard to approach'. This cheesecake factory is tucked away, just inland from Ocean City, but it's worth stopping by. 've only tried two flavors so far - the vanilla caramel and chocolate caramel. Both share the same creamy, fluffy consistency. My favorite is the chocolate caramel - there is just something pure and special about the flavor as it melts in my mouth. My friend and I have been driving by here all summer on our way to the beach and finally left early enough to try this place out. She ended up getting a whole cheesecake, which allows you to pick four flavors for for $34 and I got a quarter of the French Lemon for $10. The French Lemon is fantastic! Creamy, not too rich, just enough crust, fantastic! Will definitely stop again and can't wait to see how my friend liked the other flavors.
