We did not get anything to eat as we had no place to sit, but did get to visit a chill kitty lounging in the front window. Unfortunately after about 15 min, my Girlfriend who paid $15 each for our tickets said she would rather get out of here (I was feeling overwhelmed myself) so we headed for the door. A staffer asked her what she thought & she basically said what I listed above. He did mention that they had issues with the reservation system and it is understandable - which is why I list a 'neutral' rating. Their goal of trying to support pet adoptions is laudable - hopefully as things settle down the cats won't be hiding from everyone;)

We were pleasantly surprised that this brought us to discover Allenberry, as it is located inside the lobby area of the resort. We were the only visitors that morning, and it was really nice to have the entire living space to ourselves. The space was cozy and the staff super friendly. We were ordered a couple of lattes, which were very creamy and tasty, and served in these neat Allenberry mugs. The weather was crisp outside and the fireplace really completed the vibe. I would imagine if we were staying at the resort, this would be a convenient breakfast stop. Very glad we found this gem on a random visit!

Tbe coffee was very good and the egg sandwiches were the BEST we have had . Hands down . Before heading back to Baltimore after our most recent family visit I realized I had yet to visit Denim Coffee at the Quarry. I decided it was time to remedy that. My wife, two kids, dog and I parked along the street about a block away and walked to Denim Coffee at the Quarry. The street is beautiful, with a decent amount of trees. When we arrived at the Quarry my wife, kids and dog hung out on the large porch outside of the shop while I went in to order. Inside, this version of Denim offers a variety of seating areas and types. There was a brick wall that had comfy couch type seating beside it. Then there were regular tables and chairs. I believe there was a bar running along the window with some bar seats. To the left of the entrance there is a stairway with a landing that has some additional seating on it. At the top of the stairs is a large room that is meant to be reserved. I didn't go too far into it because it seemed to be occupied. After the brief, self guided tour, I went and ordered a Nitro Cold Brew with Oat Milk for myself and a mocha with oat milk for my wife. It's the same great coffee at an unbelievable price point that can be found at all Denim locations. This location was a lot quieter (only four people were in there when I went in and they were all super spread out) than the other Carlisle or Harrisburg location. Makes sense since it is the summer and a lot of college students have left campus. I'd be interested to return during the school year to see what their Sundays are like then. If you find yourself at Dickinson and are looking for incredible coffee at a great price, definitely check out Denim.
