Waited for over an hour and a half past appointment time before walking out without being seen. Not one single person in the waiting room the whole time. However, one patient did walk in and was seen and left while I was still waiting. When I asked the front desk about the delay I was told it was because they are specialists and they had no idea how long it would be. This seems to be their standard procedure according to all the other reviews. I will tell EVERYONE I know to avoid this place. What a waste. The reviews should've been my warning. I've also told my physician so he can stop referring patients to this palace of incompetence. read more

I'm seen by you a while ago you do something that makes my sinuses look like I've burned them I'm in so much pain and then you tell me you can't help me. I have paid you and paid you but then there's $71 you still want for the appointment you told me that you couldn't help me left me in tears and sent me on my way $71. Really if it's so important to you I'm going to deliver $71 in pennies to your office and then you can do whatever you think you need to do with them. I do not recommend these people. At the time of this post, this business is showing as closed...for almost an hour. However, as I write this I'm sitting in a patient room where I have been sitting for close to 20 minutes. Prior to that I spent 90 minutes in the waiting room. Prior to being brought back to the patient room all of the front office staff turned off the lights and went home. My appointment was scheduled for almost 2 hours ago. I arrived early as to be respectful of the doctors time. I have never felt more dismissed or less cared about by a doctor, ever. No one has even apologized for the wait. ...I'd like to return to the waiting room. At least there had televisions. read more

I notice most of the bad reviews were in years past. That's good because I found nothing wrong with this practice. I called for an appt a couple of weeks ago. No problem. I filled out all the paperwork on the online patient portal. Got there at my appt time. Nice young man, opened the door, took my temp. Had me sit in their nice new waiting area. totally distanced. It's a nice. new, modern facility on Orange Grove. Was called in after maybe 8-10 minutes. Very nice med asst checked my ears. Then Dr Sohal came in fixed the problem and suggested a hearing test, it had been many, many years since I have had one. Figuring that was another appt, but no, got that done today too. Stephanie, the audiologist was also very nice. After all that Dr Sohal explained my hearing (loss) levels to me with options. I am surprised by all the negative reviews of this facility. My doctor recommended an urgent biopsy of my thyroid after getting ultrasound results. She recommended Tucson ENT. When I called for an appointment they asked who I wanted to see. I replied that I wanted someone who really knew thyroid issues. They set up an appointment with Dr. Cravens at the Orange Grove location and could get me in within a few days. While I was not excited to have to travel from the far eastside of town all the way over to the northwest, the doctors on the eastside couldn't get me in until mid January. When I arrived at the office, the front staff was polite and helpful in getting my records set up. The medical staff and Dr. Cravens were all kind, professional, answered my questions, and knowledgeable. I was not made to feel stupid for asking questions and he explained everything he was doing while completing fine aspiration needle biopsies. The downside is that it will now take 10 +/- days to get results. The doctor said his office would contact me directly, not wait and go through my PCP. He stressed how important communication is. I was in the office about an hour and a half, but that did not seem unreasonable to me. I would recommend them and am sorry others did not have positive experiences. read more

This is our 2nd appt with TENT at the Orange Grove location. While we are pleased with Dr. Dean and his care there is definitely a scheduling issue. The first appt it was an hour before we were called back and then another 15-20 minutes before the doctor came in. This 2nd time it was 1 1/2 hour wait. My husband had worked hard to reschedule his own work appts and hurried to make this appt. It was explained to us that this type of a specialty practice has many more same day must see patients than a regular clinic would have ordinarily. If that's the case it seems logical that appointments made ahead of time would be seen at the approximate time and with the doctor that was requested, while emergencies would be designated to a rotating doctor that specifically dealt with last minute appts. for that day. read more

Scheduled appointment online September 10, 2021, with Dr. Chastain for 10-13-21. Filled out extensive online paperwork, showed up for my scheduled appointment 5 minutes early only to be told my appointment was cancelled because Dr. was not available. (He was on vacation I discovered.) They claimed to have called but my phone number was disconnected?? Said they would call to reschedule, you cannot schedule an appointment with the front desk receptionist, you must call. Went home called, had to leave message,(twice during day), never received call back. Called again two days later, actually spoke to a person, next available appointment was two months out. Encouraged to undergo a "functional" rhinoplasty by doctor cravens. From a health standpoint there was literally no reason for me to have the surgery. Didn't do a sleep study test to see if I actually had sleep apnea but heavily encouraged me to underdog rhinoplasty. Was also insulted during my consult by cravens. Laughed at me while taking my pre op photos and insulted my intelligence. If your standard of care is to insult patients all the while encouraging them to undergo unnecessary surgery then you need heavily reassess your medical ethics. Oh and my nose now looks unnatural, is deviated to the side and has a divot in it. Stay away from this practice. read more

We had a really good experience with Dr Parry and his staff. All were attentive and kind during a scary experience for my 6 year old.

I was referred by my PC for a hearing test. First off it took 5 months to get an appointment. That was no big deal as I wasn't in a hurry. I showed up for the appointment about 20 minutes early expecting there would be paperwork to fill out. There was and this was accomplished in about 15 minutes. And then waited another 40 minutes without any communication from the staff whatsoever. I explained that my appointment was for 1045 and it was now 1125 and asked how much longer it would be. I was told they were running a little behind but could not tell me how much longer it would take. After another five minutes I told them to just cancel the appointment as I had other comments that day. In my opinion you should never have to wait in a waiting room for 45 minutes without the staff communicating with you in anyway. As it is I took a day off of work and spent over an hour there without ever getting seen. read more

This place is a joke, my husband had an appointment, showed up and was told he was in the wrong office and to reschedule, he did and went to the office he was told to go to this morning only to find it's closed and moving to a new office and when I called I was told he was at the wrong office. Of course they tried to reschedule again and I said no thank you. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. Wish I had read the other reviews prior to trying to get in here. The doctor was nice and competent, but this is the worst medical provider experience we have ever had. And I've had treatment in a Third World country. The woman at the intake counter was astonishingly and unbelievably rude. An equal opportunity offender: she was rude to me while I was trying to get an appointment for my child, rude to my spouse, rude to the staff at our Primary care physician, rude to other patients and even rude to our child while he was in pain. This woman is so hateful and rude sher shouldn't even be employed and if so, she shouldn't be working with people. The facility is also horribly over booked and overcrowded which is the surely the blame of the doctors. The patients suffer, sometimes for hours. Our child's ordeal was nearly 3 hours with an advance appointment! This medical group should be rid of this woman and set reasonable and fair conditions for its patients. And guess what? The only way to contact this group to complain about her ot the conditions is through this obnoxious and abusive woman! She has it made while the doctors play ostrich with their heads buried in their work. We will never be treated by this practice again and we will always speak ill of it. read more

I took my grandmother here for testing for and fitting of a hearing aid. Their audiology department is appalling. First we go to the severely overcrowded, loud & dirty ENT office and wait well past our appointment time to get the initial hearing test done, then we're told we need to schedule another appointment to get an extended hearing test and actually discuss hearing aids; this took MONTHS to schedule because their audiologist doesn't pick up the phone, doesn't return calls or messages, etc. Finally get her in for what we're told is going to be the next hearing test and I'm assured over and over - without prompting - that they've checked her insurance and have all of her information from her last visit. We're made to wait 25 minutes while the audiologist brings in ENT patients to help her coworker deal with their awful overbooking. Then within 5 minutes of the actual appointment, which we've waited months for, we're told they're only going to show us hearing aids we could buy -they don't do testing - and they DON'T actually take my grandmother's insurance and so they can't help us anyway! Do you have any idea how hard it is to get an 88 year old hard of hearing dementia patient to an appointment for a hearing aid she doesn't want because it confuses her? There is NO excuse for the outright lie of telling us over & over that they take her insurance. read more

Do not go here. While Dr. Sohal was great, the supporting staff of Tucson Ear, Nose and Throat is completely incapable of doing their jobs. I have been trying to get my surgery for my tonsils to be removed for MONTHS. I saw Dr. Sohal in May and he scheduled me for a surgery the same week I saw him. When scheduling this surgery, Angel, failed to mention that I needed coronavirus testing prior to the surgery. The day before the surgery she reached out to me to cancel my surgery because I was not tested for coronavirus. Fine, whatever. They just started having surgeries again. I can see how it was an oversight. I'm annoyed but I'll get over it. After her telling me she could not schedule me with a new appointment, I was forced to yet again suffer. Finally my primary care physician reached out to them and I got an appointment to have my surgery. A couple weeks or so later, Angel calls again and asks to move my surgery. Okay. Super annoying but I say okay and they move my surgery. It's still enough time for my mother to request time off and be able to come from Phoenix to take me to the surgery. Now, yet again she called THE DAY BEFORE my surgery to notify me that it was canceled because she yet again failed to do the right thing. On May 18th I saw my primary care doctor and I weighed 3 lbs more than I currently weigh. When I saw Dr. Sohal in May he said that my BMI was too high to have my surgery at a surgery center and I would have to have my surgery at a hospital. I said okay. However, Angel scheduled me for a surgery at a surgery center anyway. She put that I weighed almost 70lbs less than I actually weigh and considering I saw a different doctor and have evidence that I have weighed the same amount since I've seen them, she messed up. I'm not sure how she could screw this up test again. However, I do not recommend going here and I highly recommend you ask to deal with someone else besides Angel if you do go here. I was very upset when I spoke to her. I asked for a supervisor and told her that this is the second time she has messed up. She said "I'll have her call you" and hung up on me. This is the worst doctors experience I've had. Edit: After waiting two days for a response from a supervisor they just called me back and basically decided that they were no longer going to help me and that they will not refer me to someone within the practice. They made several mistakes and instead of fixing them, they just stopped helping me. This place sucks. read more

The office staff in the Orange Grove office should all be replaced. I waited (during a pandemic) in the waiting room over an hour. No one came and told me how long it would be or why. Many years ago, it was normal to wait that long, those days are gone. Dr Stragooleus was far more interested in selling me hearing aids that fixing my persistent lightheadedness that had been occurring for 5 months. His medical assistant refused to come near me and sent in only male employees to the room because I politely asked what was going on and why the wait was so long. I am not a 7 foot tattoed biker, I am a 64 year old grandmother who scares no one. After I filled out all the extensive on line paperwork, they insisted I answer many of the same questions when there is NOWHERE in the office fill out paperwork. Three times they had to be given my email, I kept telling them they sent me an email so they obviously had it. Staff speaks Spanish only to one another which is rude and unprofessional. I never go to the doctor unless it's very concerning. Had been having issues with my throat and my ear had been bleeding. I know that's not normal. My PCP sent a referral for an ENT and unfortunately it was with Dr. David Hu. He did nothing. All he gave me was an prescription for an in-hailer. When I told him about my ear he said "are you done? Anything else wrong?" He seemed very annoyed and rushed. I was telling my friend my throat issue and she said "it's allergies!" That's exactly what it ended up being. I didn't even need a doctor to solve my issue because it's not like he gave me anything for my bleeding ear. I can't believe we pay so much for health insurance....thousands of dollars just to get treated this way. If you don't like your job, retire! Enjoy life! But don't belittle people. This place was recommended by a mother that has her son in the same swim class as mine. She stated he was great so I took a chance. I filled out paperwork and only waited about 10 or 15 minutes before I was called back. I only waited in the room about 5 minutes when the doctor came in. It was Dr Parry. He was very kind looked at my son's ears and was very personable. He Advised to have my son come back around his birthday to check his ears, once the tubes fall out. once I exited to make another appointment it was quick and easy. Where do I begin? I was referred to Dr. Hu when my son was 7 months for ear infections and a tubes consult. That was in December 2014, I got my first appointment in January, 2015. It is now December 2015 and my son definitely needs tubes and does not have them. We have been given the run around and told we would be called to reschedule when we have not been. I cannot speak for another provider, but Dr. Hu's medical staff (Monica) is rude, incompetent, lazy and unresponsive. I have had a genuinely awful experience and now I'm looking for a new ENT for tubes in the height of cold and flu season. I'm sure we will all enjoy this experience. NO one from this practice returns phone calls promptly (I called on a Tuesday and got a call back on a Thursday during a meeting and, of course, when I returned the call, she didn't pick up and never tried again) and Dr. Hu appears to be completely delusional about what his staff does (or, rather, does not do). Making an appointment is like pulling teeth: they scheduled my son for an appointment that I was not aware was a post-op, so I called to find out whether we needed to go as Dr. Hu had canceled the surgery due to my son having an active ear infection and cold. No one picked up. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. No one ever picked up. So, I went to, of course, find out that it was a post-op and I didn't need to go. This thoughtless, needless, lack of customer service makes this practice a fail in my book. Again, I cannot speak for the other doctors (though as they use the same scheduling service I don't doubt it's horrid too), but Dr. Hu's staff is the worse. Dr. Hu himself leaves me slightly better than lukewarm. His bedside manner is ho-hum, but he does appear to be anti-unnecessary intervention, which I like. My biggest concern is that he needs to manage his staff better. read more

I made an appt about a month ago and the doctors MA (Candice) called me a few days before my appt to inform me I needed to reschedule bc the doctor was actually performing surgery that day. It was very hard to get through them, and when I finally did, their earliest appt available was not for another month! As I was having nose bleeds every two or three days I saw Dr Hu at the Orange Grove location on May 10, 2019. During the appointment he cauterized the inside of my nose to stop the bleeding. He told me if it started bleeding again to call his assistant and they would take care of me. A few days later it started bleeding again but much worse than before I came in. So I called the assistant and left a message indicating what was going on and that I needed to get in right away so he could stop the bleeding and resolve the problem. On her voice mail she had a message stating she would return all calls within 24 hours. Given the severity of the problem I expected I would hear from her sooner than that. Over two days later I finally get a call from her but by then my nose bleed has escalated and I had to go to the hospital emergency room and had to undergo a balloon stuck up my nose for an hour that hurt to holy _ _ _ _. Then they called in an ENT doc to fix my nose. I could tell that this ENT doc was much better than Dr Hu in every way. Had Dr Hu fixed my nose properly or had the assistant called me back more promptly I may not have needed to go to the hospital emergency room and suffer the balloon procedure and additional costs. read more

We're the only ones left here everyone else has been seen, even the people that came late and after us! We wont be coming back and wont suggest this practice either. I wish I could give this place negative stars. I have actually shown up for appointments and they say I don't have one that day, that they mailed me a letter saying I need to call to reschedule. Of course I never received a letter, and what kind of place doesn't call to tell you that? They frequently had me reschedule appointments, sometimes more than once. They billed my allergy testing through the wrong insurance company, never said anything to me, then sent me an $800 bill almost two years later. When trying to call to solve the problem, the billing department was rude and incompetent. I had the claim number from my actual insurance to provide them because it was covered through them, and the lady stared arguing me! I finally got upset, and told her several times to stop asking me and call my insurance because that wasn't my job to explain to her, and she hung up on me, without warning! And of course never took my claim number. Then no one would answer when I called back. I have found Dr Soderberg to be incredibly unhelpful, and never seeming to care to take long enough in the room with me to really help me solve my problem. read more

I had been a patient of Dr Cravens 20+ years ago, so I had contacted this office in the hope of seeing him again. I was told that I could not be scheduled with him and that I could see Dr. Hu. I went in for facial and eye pain which has persisted for months. When he examined my sinuses with a scope and light, I was not informed that this was considered a "surgery" and that I would be billed as such. He found nothing and was absolutely no help. To add insult to injury, my EOB from my insurance showed that they billed $400+ as a surgery, which of course, came under my deductible and I am completely responsible for that waste of money procedure. Not to mention, it was the most painful experience I have ever had at an ENT and I have been scoped and operated upon by four different ENTs in my life! Stay far away from these guys! read more

My child has been going to this practice for multiple years. Their providers I have had the pleasure of working with have been fantastic however you have to get through their HORRENDOUS front office staff. They are rude and truly could care less for the well being of the patients. Whatever time your appointment is scheduled for be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes past that time. Today was my last straw with their completely incompetent uncompassionate front end. I hope this practice completely gets rid of their rude staff and find employees with even a basic since of medicine, and a understanding that with out the patients they have no job. Took my son in to get tubes put in Dr hu comes out and says he lost the tube in my sons ear and cut a bigger hole to find it but was unable, and that he will need surgery in a couple years to find it. He reassured us it was totally normal but then we found out it is not and he was only doing some CYA. We had scheduled an appointment with Dr Parry for a tongue tie diagnosis and we were happy to find something local and in short notice. When we got there, we realized that it was going to be a long wait as they had multiple booked. So we waited in a rather crowded waiting room for more than an hour. Dr Parry seemed very upbeat and enthusiastic and on taking a quick look, immediately exhorted us to get it done (he said he had six kids and would do it in a heartbeat). My wife was a bit hesitant and needed some time. He was pretty pushy and we had to ask for him to leave the room, so we could discuss it in private. It all felt rushed and he was gung-ho to do it ASAP. We finally decided, since we had already waited an hour and half at that point, to just get it done. It was a quick procedure with minor bleeding that stopped after nursing. The post-op instructions were also rather haphazard. Dr Parry showed how to push the tongue back cursorily as we left and the nurse ominously threatened that we would be back if we don't do this diligently after every feeding. No clear printed instructions were given out. This is odd since those exercises are key to the success of the surgery. In about three weeks, our lactation consultant who originally suggested this, noticed it had reattached although our pediatrician seems to think it was fine and the whole procedure was unnecessary in the first place. My other pediatrician friend who does these told me that she recommends them only when there are clear symptoms of weight loss and mastitis/nipple soreness and not proactively. Overall, it seems like there is an over-enthusiasm and possible over-prescription of this procedure bordering on religious zeal, which is slightly worrisome (a la circumcision, tonsillitis, c-section...). Parents should do a more thorough research but hard to do given sleep deprivation and sometimes desperate need to fix the baby's feeding or weight gain problem. Seems like laser therapy in Phoenix with Dr Agarwal is a better choice (good reviews) and might be worth the drive. It also seems to have lesser reattachment rates (although there are no good studies on that). At least, he has clear post-op instructional videos etc and seems much more professional. read more

An appointment must be only a suggestion. Although I have the "first" appointment of the morning, the doctor was already running behind more than one hour. The front desk is rude. And when asked after waiting 45 minutes, they had no idea the doctor was running behind. The doctor could be fabulous, but the office staff is rude. This was not my first or second visit to this office. It was consistently rude and more than one hour wait per visit. And when in the exam room, the time with the doctor was less than 5 minutes. The Physicians are fabulous! They are friendly and professional and great with kids. The staff however are not so professional nor courteous. I waited in the lobby for 35 min then explained to the receptionist that she or the MA should let patients know if there will be a wait over 30. Her response, "You should have asked at check in" I then waited an additional 30 min before being called back and the MA didn't even apologize for the wait, I checked out 1 hour and 45 min later... tsk, tsk. read more

Had an appointment today for my 94 year old mom. I took time off work to take her for a 3:30 appointment, got the walker and her, which takes a lot of time, Loaded in the car. I drove her to the orange grove office and after getting her out of the car and slowly made way to the office only to read a small sign that said "use the main entrance" we worked back to the other door in 105 deg temp. After our temperature taken we finally got inside and sat down. A few minutes later the attendant told us that the doctor had an emergency and would not be able to see my mom. SO we made our way back to the car and back home exposing my mom to who knows what in the doctors office. Called the office manager and Chris told me that they text my mom and dads phone, who doesn"t text as they are 94 years old. No reply was given so they ASSummed they got it and did not call. I think it was completely unprofessional of this office for failure to make reasonable effort to cancel an appointment, WE will not return to this office nor will any of the rest of my family.
