I bought a new vehicle from here last year. Had it financed it through them because they use my bank. The interest rate was very high and i was told it was due to dinged credit. I bought it anyway (puzzled, maybe there was something on it i didn't know about) i got my credit checked a few months later and it was superb! At the signing i was offered way too many extended warranties i denied and was questioned about every denial! I don't think this is on the up and up at all. I don't care for the new one i got and considered going back to purchase a different kind. But re-thought about that because of paying a higher interest rate which obviously goes to someone there....and i waited an unusual amount of time to sign the paperwork. I had already contacted my bank prior and they said I'd have no problem getting a loan. Does the dealer and bank benefit ?? I'll buy a different brand from another dealer and fiance differently. read more

Don't buy the used car extended warranty that is offered by Tucson Subaru. I was told it covered everything on my 06 Honda Odyssey van "bumper to bumper exactly like a new car warranty". I specifically said I do not want to buy a warranty unless it covers the van door motors and the transmission. The finance guy assured me that everything was covered except oil changes and tires. I called my dad in Canada - the finance guy assured him that it was a bumper to bumper warranty and so my dad said to get it. Two years later my driver door stopped working. Took it to Tucson Subaru where I was charged $130 to diagnose and then was told that the warranty would cover a sun roof motor but not a van door motor. Tucson Subaru wanted to charge me $1000 to fix the van door. Turned out what the finance guy told me was a load of crock. I was upset. I took van to a different place to get fixed. Forked over $1500 (van door portion was $700) and get new CV boots and $12.50 was the portion the warranty would cover. The $2,200 warranty is a scam. And I can get my van fixed cheaper at Precision Inc. Honda and Acura Automobile - $300 cheaper. read more

Do not trust the service manager and his minions. They will recommend repairs that aren't needed just so there paychecks are as big as possible. If you are going to service there plan on being there for at least 3 hours just for an oil change. Only guy in service I would trust is Dan Ford, he is extemley knowledgeable and truly cares about his customers. read more

I wanted to let you all know about how pleased I have been, not only with my 2014 Subaru Outback, but also with all of the terrific service I have received since walking into the showroom last September. Rudy Burneo was our salesman and he did a fantastic job of really hearing our wants and needs and finding the perfect vehicle for our lifestyle. I recently had my car serviced at the new location, and Wendy (in Service) was so awesome that I went back in today because I got a new cell phone and was going nuts trying to get it connected to my car Blue Tooth. When I walked in, Wendy stopped what she was doing and walked outside, got in my car with me, and stayed until we confirmed that the Blue Tooth was connected and that all my questions were answered. She made my day! It was wonderful to feel confident that I could pop in and get my problem resolved, and she did that and more! So I purchased a 2014 Kia Soul from them on Feb 6. First let me say, it was bullshit from jump. CJ (my salesperson) kept changing his story and info that he was telling me as far as the deal and such. Even my friend with me noticed the deception which is expected from car salesmen. I felt like they were trying to play me and treating me like I was stupid which was really unappreciated. They even tried to get me to take the car home before the financing was approved. I repeatedly declined as I'm not an idiot. I had Tom (I believe was his name) as my financing guy. He was amazing! He gave me financial advice (he has a degree in finance), was very easy to talk to and got me the best deal ever with Capital One. Capital One even lowered my interest rate even more after the deal because I have both of my credit cards through them and I am always on time with my payments. So if you could get financing with Capital One, I highly recommend it!! Anywho, the other staff there were a bit standoff-ish and rude until they learned I was with the military then they changed their tune. But that is not where my problem with them starts. I drive the car home and every time I brake it starts screeching. I thought it was a car next to me but over the next few days I kept hearing it. I call them to see if they can take a look at it and they assure me that it is fine and they inspected it before giving it to me. So then one day I notice a spot on the dash. So I go to a car wash with cleaning supplies and inspect the car. There was a brown sticky substance under the cup holder liner. It took me 30 mins to clean it out. There was donut and snack wrappers inside the passenger seat pocket. Trash under the floor mats, sticky spots on various parts of the dash and the interior doors and hand prints all over the outside of the car. I don't know about you all but whenever I buy a car it is usually detailed and cleaned when I come to pick it up. It took me over two hours at the car wash to clean every crevice of that car. So I email CJ and tell him that the car was not obviously inspected and cleaned. Hell the tank wasn't even filled, which fine I didn't trip over that. I went on base and filled it myself. I also ask for the Carfax report. I was offered a free car wash at some drive thru car wash and still didn't get the Carfax. The next day I asked for the Carfax again. I finally get it. Then I had to contact Kia to see if the car was still under warranty (which I remember asking at the dealership and all I was told was yes but wasn't given any other info or paperwork). It was and the guy asked why the dealership did not give me that info. Good question Sir!! So there was strike number 6 I believe. But the dealership so quickly gave me info on the extended warranty that THEY offered. I went to get a new car because the engine on my old car was giving out and I needed one ASAP. So I am now stuck with squealing brakes and feel like I did not get the new car experience because I have been stressing and busy with cleaning, getting the car inspected and now trying to get the brake issue resolved. It hasn't even been a month since I've had the car and I don't even have a license plate yet! And yet I have had all of these issues in such a short amount of time. Do not go to them...unless you are bu6ying a Subaru. That will be the only time they care. Tom (or Tim) was the only positive coming out of this whole ordeal. read more

Basically, we made a deal they wouldn't/couldn't honor. Trent Nichols contacted me about a used car. I asked and he told me the factory warranty was good for almost 2 years. We agreed on a price and he sent me a contract. I signed it and sent it in, asking that he double check the start date on the warranty period. He claimed he couldn't confirm the warranty b/c the BMW dealership refused to release the information. The first dealership I called happily told me the warranty would expire in 9 months. When I told Trent, and asked where that left us he replied, "You have to tell me. I can't control that unfortunately." I replied that he could either offer the additional warranty or adjust the price accordingly. He refused, claiming Carfax reports aren't always accurate. I pointed out that the report says that any warranty dates are estimates and should be "confirmed by your dealer". So, Carfax says I can't rely on the dates, but Tucson Subaru believes it can when asked about the dates. Anyway, mistakes happen, but instead of owning up to the misrepresentation, I got the initial "You have to tell me" response, as if the deal being $1000+ worse than represented was something I should either accept or just take a hike. Had I not asked, and then done his job for him, I'd have paid for the car and shipping, only to find out in a year that a repair was out of warranty. Then what I wonder? Take a hike is my guess. Next came the excuses. "I have been selling cars for 13 years and this is the 1st time I ever seen that big of a difference." "The guy who traded it was military and did a European Delivery Program and had the car shipped to Germany then shipped back to USA when he came home." So, shipped from Germany, to USA, back to Europe, then back to TX? Even if you believe that, the carfax report shows the date the warranty date started, i.e. delivery to dealer. That is a common date for warranties to start running, and you don't need 13 years in sales to know that. Anyway, after mentioning that I still hadn't been offered a simple apology, I got, "I told you the information that I knew. I am very sorry that it turned out there was other information...I am sorry for any miscommunication or any information that was unknown at the time." After pointing out that this was not an apology b/c he didn't tell me something he "knew", I got, "Not sure why we are going around on this. I am sorry you are upset..." Exactly, you are sorry I'm upset, not that you almost sold me a product that was materially different than described. If you doubt any of this, ask him. I'm quoting text/emails. So, in sum, Trent is the typical salesman. Nice as can be when he wants something, then nothing but attitude and excuses when the bs hits the fan. Take your business elsewhere, not because they/he make mistakes, but because they won't stand behind their deals when they do, or at least admit they made a mistake and sincerely ask for your understanding. You have been warned, but hey, maybe you're special, or maybe he's just the only salesman at Tucson that provides false info, although he did state "This is how we always check warranty dates." I knew my old 4 Runner was not ever going to be the dream car it was for me after 17 years and 225000 miles, but Tucson Subaru treated me as if I had no business buying a car from them. After investigating for about 3 weeks, I decided the Outback would be my new dream car and I would love it as much as my 4 Runner. I knew what I needed for a monthly payment and I also knew if was going to be hard to find the right Outback I could afford (I was also interested in the Crosstreks which would have been a little more affordable). I decided to try for a base model slightly used 2018 but would have gone for an older model if necessary. The initial salesperson, Jim, was awesome. The rest of the experience was horrible. I knew my financing would be tough, but they kept saying "I think we can find you something". With a credit score of 858, I figured I could try. Well, when push came to shove, the finance manager basically asked me to leave by dismissing me with, "sorry we couldn't make a deal" after only 2-3 attempts to finance the one I wanted (first attempt was simply telling them the internet price was $1000 lower than the window price). I wasn't offered another car, there was very little negotiating. 30 minutes after leaving Subaru, I was offered triple the amount for my trade in by 2 other dealers and walked away from Toyota with the monthly payment I wanted and a brand new car with tons more options (especially the safety features) that Subaru would have given me with the car I was trying to take off their hands. read more

Had the worst experience ever here and probably any retail store yet to date. I came in to the service center to get a part on my car repaired. I live and work at Ft. Huachuca and came to Tucson since I knew I could get OEM parts and good service. The left rear wheel bearing went out in my Impreza. Since the car wasn't going to Tucson I decided to remove the spindle and take it to Tucson. I am very mechanically incline and have been restoring classic trucks for years, but I do not have a shop press because I would get very little use out of it. I was sort of greeted by a lady (didn't catch her name), and I explained to her what I needed. She was very condescending and short, she also new nothing about cars. I was told by her that that didn't press bearings and that I would need to buy a hub. I tried explaining to her that it wasn't a sealed hub and had separate bearings, then she said well we don't do that here. I asked her how they could run a auto repair shop with no shop press and she just looked at me without a comment. She then asked if I had an appointment, I told her that I didn't think one was necessary for a 15 minute repair as the part was off the vehicle. She just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. I told her that I was so glad that I wasted my time driving all the way here since I had a Subaru and thought they knew how to work on their own cars. On the way out the door she asked me to wait while she called the shop. She called the shop and asked if they could replace bearings in a hub, after some back and forth she hung up and said that they had a old guy in service that could probably do it and that it would be $145 for just the labor. I know shops have a fee and all but $145 for 15 minutes of work plus I was buying the $150 worth of parts and had to deal with her attitude, NO WAY!! I left and went to parts counter and purchased what I needed to do the job(parts guy was awesome). I left and went down the street to Car Quest and 15 minutes later plus a $40 bill I had my bearings and hub pressed back into the spindle. How can you have someone working in the service department when they have neither customer service or car repair knowledge? I guess I know now that my Subaru dealer does not want to help me so I will stick with aftermarket parts and much better service somewhere else. This will be my last Subaru as well since this is my nearest dealer. Also at Car Quest I learned that I could have spent $50 in aftermarket parts, so $90 for decent parts and excellent service or $300 for OEM parts and crappy service served with a attitude? I think spending a third of the money and walking out a happy customer is the way to go. read more

My husband is a WWI Vet. We bought a used Subaru Forester for him to drive around Tucson. It had a blinking oil temperature light. Our mechanic tested it and said that it was faulty but not to worry about it because the temperature was low and the car was in good shape. He took it to Tucson Subaru to have the light fixed. They kept the car all day and told him at the end of the day, after he had waited for the light to be repaired, that the car needed $7,851.00 to have the transmission replaced. He refused the service. It cost him $120.00 to get the car back. They did not repair the blinking light or do any service on it. If you do not want to be fleeced, DO NOT take a car to Tucson Subaru. read more

We bought a used car from salesman Mike and Finance guy Louie A. We looked at only one car but it took hours to get the paperwork- We were there after closing. Louie re-wrote the papers numerous times. At some point the agreed price was changed from $13K to 16K, and a "gap" insurance was added for $800 and a warranty was added for approx. 3K. We did not want a warranty from Subaru on a TOYOTA that has only 17K miles! When we realized we tried calling both Mike and Louie. The receptionist put us on hold and followed with: "Mike and Louie have the day off". This happened numerous times, day after day, for over one week. Messages were never returned. They obviously did not want to speak with us and knew why we were calling. We had hoped they would be decent and maybe we could work something out. We did sign the papers and didn't notice the switched amounts. We were taken by Tucson Subaru- this time. We will never do business there again and will make our experience known to our friends and co-workers. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I found a car I really liked -- a certified pre owned nice nearly new car-- and the salesperson went yo the manager to get a price. He came back with a printout that showed zero discount. Nothing. The salesman said he was surprised and went back to ask again. We sat there over 20 minutes and left . Here's where it gets weird. He emails a document with a nice discount off an amount that is $1000 more than the sticker. ? They took the discount off what they said was Kelly blue book -- which is crazy. Then, two days later he writes me with a link to another car he says is in my budget. It's the same car. ?!?! Btw. I found a car with fewer miles, a year newer same condition and a lower price elsewhere. read more

Don't go here! They don't want car sales! My husband and I went to buy a car from this dealer. They guy said that the vehicle was priced at the lower KBB, it was not, I looked it up. He also said that the vehicle was purchased at an auction and they needed to get it off the lot soon cause it was already on the lot for a few months. We liked the car so we took it to our mechanic, which they were really apprehensive about and had to get special approval to do so. He tried to encourage us to follow their polices first and buy the car and then take it to our mechanic. So we insisted about our mechanic looking at it. Our mechanic said that the car was pretty good but it needed new tires prior to a trip we are going on in the next week with our young children and said it would be a safety concern otherwise. Well when we talked to the dealer and explained they were rude and defensive and they wanted their listed price only, they would not budge with anything at all. It didn't even have both key sets. I even asked the guy for something like free oil changes or anything. These people are greedy and the type of car sales that gives the entire industry a bad reputation. When my husband told them about what our mechanic said about the tires they said they didn't care because their guys checked it off the list. So they really don't care about safety or customer service. Don't go here! read more

My wife and I purchased our first Subaru, a Tribeca in 2009 from Emich Subaru, still have the car today and still love it and have had only normal maintenance for a car with 90,000 miles. Then we purchased a Outback from Tucson Subaru, with all the bells and whistles. I cannot count how many times that I rated Subaru "Truly Exceptional." At 22,080 miles I notice that my drivers seat is wearing out on the seam, I am still under warrenty, I take the car back to Tucson Subaru and they tell me that they will recover the seat one time and one time only, No new seat but a cover, then the questions start arising, what will I do at 40,000, probably the same covering will not be available when the cover wears out for a second time and Subaru will not cover it. I will say this, I not only had a warranty, but an extended warranty. I was told by the factory rep. that Subaru does not cover wear and tear. Keep in mind all I did was get in and out of the the car and the only reason that I was getting a new cover is because Tucson Subaru was wiling to give me a cover, and not the factory. Now if I had cut the seat or tore the seat, I would look at it different. Bottom line is when I needed Subaru to stand behind there product, they were not there for me when I needed them the most and my two warranties meant nothing. After all of this and waking up in the middle of the night heart broken and feeling totally dumped, not being able to sleep and months later, still having the same feelings, I would NEVER buy another Subaru. read more

It has been almost 13 1/2 years since I had to deal with purchasing a vehicle. The moment my son an I stepped onto the Tucson Subaru lot, we started to look at the vehicles sitting outside the showroom. There were sales people standing there, but, no one "pounced" on us immediately. They allowed us a few moments before a pleasant gentleman came up to us and said, "Hello, my name is Steve. (shook our hands) Do you have any questions I might be able to answer for you about our vehicles?" Steve listened, we all talked and laughed a lot and I ended up with my wonderful Crosstrek. Last, I met Traci and she was a blast. Explained everything clearly. Was comfortable to talk to and just a shear joy to work with. The next day, I had to return with some paperwork for my trade in. This is when I met Scott. He was pleasant and very informative about some accessories I purchased. All I can say is...Amazing staff!! "No pressure" sales people. I went in last weekend to appraise my car and to look at new cars. Upon arrival, I was amazed about how nice the place looked and have never seen such a vast inventory of Subaru cars. I previously owned a 2005 Subaru WRX and was searching for a new model. This dealership had the largest inventory of WRXs in my area. I was immediately greeted at the door and started talking with the internet sales manager about my online appraisal. I wasn't sure whether to purchase a 2014 WRX or a 2015 STI, so we sat down to discuss different aspects of both cars. We went outside to check out the 2014 WRX models and was able to test drive the one I was most interested in. The test drive went great, but I was wanting a car with a few more accessories. The internet sales manager said that I could have the accessories that I wanted included in the financing and installed the next time I came to the dealership. Another dealership sales person told me that building your own 2014 car was no longer an option because the 2015 cars were about to arrive. This was one of the reasons why I wanted to consider the 2015 models; however, I liked the style and appearance of the 2014 cars more. After talking for awhile, I came to the decision of trading my current car in and purchasing a 2014 WRX with the accessories that I wanted. Now, I have always heard that purchasing a new car is one of the most stressful experiences a person could have, but this was not the case when working with Tucson Subaru. Not only was the staff helpful, but they were also enjoyable to talk to and could relate to my passion for Subaru. I have been an enthusiast for over 10 years and have only owned Subaru vehicles. These guys have been great to work with, and I plan on taking my car here for service and maintenance in the future. read more

I found the car of my dreams at Tucson Subaru, but unfortunately I live in Prescott, Az. I found my car on their website and set up an appointment with Trent to come down and see it. 200 miles in a 4 hour drive just to come check it out. When I got there, I was greeted with a smile. I showed up about an hour early for my appointment just so I could walk around and check the place out. They had a great selection of cars, but I was drawn to the one I came down for. Trent showed up half an hour early and made time to see me. We promptly got in the car and went for a test drive(something the Subaru dealer up here wouldn't let me do). I was immediately in love with it. When we got back, we went to his office and started on the paper work. He was very straightforward with everything, no add-ons except for the window tint, and that was still at a much lower price than any other dealership I have been to. The pricing on the car was under invoice so I couldn't have been happier. I then met with Traci do the financing paperwork. She was great. Gave me a breakdown and options for warranty, security system upgrade, and the other options they had. The whole car buying process only took about an hour and a half after the test drive. Fastest experience of my life and couldn't be more happy. Before I left, we did a final walk around on the car to double check for any damages or anything wrong with the car. I found some bubbles in the tint, and they went ahead and fixed it there before I left on my drive home to Prescott. If I ever plan on buying another Subaru, or if you are thinking of buying one, there is no other dealer I would go to. A++++ best experience read more
