We recently bought a used Subaru form Peoria Subaru. We brought it into Tucson Subaru and paid for a used vehicle inspection. We discovered there was a gasket leak, torn bushings, and AC issues( leak and new condenser needed). We called Peoria who advised thre was no leaks and Tucson Subaru shouldn't have authorized those repairs. Tucson Subaru attmepted to call Peoria Subaru and help solve the issue. They also discovered in a video from Peoria there was an active leak that Peoria didn't report. Tucson Subaru refunded us a portion of the overall check, even though they didnt have too! Peoria Subaru hid behind the law and did us dirty. Tucson Subaru fixed our vehicle and helped us solve the problem. They will forever get my business. I appreciate the fact they stood behind thier employees and the active leak that they demonstrated existed and still understood and valued thier customers. I've dealt with this Dealership on several occasions and have found it wanting each time. First time was shopping for a used car and not being able to make a deal at a reasonable price on an overpriced vehicle until I drove off another dealers lot with a Subaru and received a call from this dealer agreeing to the offer from five days previous. Write it off as that's just what happens. Second time was shopping for a new car several years later, finding the one I wanted and agreeing on the list price and then finding out that they wouldn't include tint, and getting an email in all CAPS from the sales manager. Emailed Chandler Superstore and got same car with tint for a lower price. Very simple and professional. Since then have purchased three more from out of town dealers and recommended others to do the same, which they had. Having two new cars I've used Tucson Subaru on three different occasions for routine maintenance. First time wife took hers in and the advisor made a show of guaranteeing that the work would be well done and then when picking it up telling her everything looked good and the all the fluids had been checked. Next day driving down the road warning light for lower washer fluid comes on. Checked and added a jug. Went back and had an in person conversation with the service manager who had the car rechecked to ensure work had actually been done. Second time took mine in and they gave me the same we've checked everything it looks good, drove off the lot and it started raining on the way home so I hit the wipers and the blade was half torn. Last time I took mine in for 30k was last week. I picked it up and drove off and part way home noticed that the reminder sticker showed that next service would be 1/5/2025 and 674 miles. Checked the digital screen and it said the same thing. Returned to the dealer and got some goofy explanation from someone who wasn't the adviser and who couldn't properly complete the update on the screen but did accomplish giving me a new sticker. Did the digital update myself in five minutes at home. Not really sure what the problem is with their phone system either. Called five times in 30 min trying to reach service between 4-4:30 and no answer and no voice mail. These are obviously not issues with the advisor or line employees but rather a systemic issue at the dealership coming down through ownership and upper management. read more

I had high hopes with Tucson Subaru. Wanted to get a car for my wife for Christmas. I called many times,but virtually no return phone calls or follow up from 2 different salespeople. I always had to call to find out what the h*ll was going on. I am not calling again! Very poor customer service. Can't imagine you selling anything this way. It's now 12/22/23 so now no time for the car now for my wife. It's literally 2 weeks now since my first call. Great Job! So you want people to go to your website,but can't follow through with the sale? What a country! Look elsewhere at a dealership that values you as a customer,and earns your business. We really wanted to give Subaru a chance to earn our business after two back-to-back Jeep leases. But we didn't even get as far as a test drive at Tucson Subaru because salesman CJ Nichols could never explain why the lease prices he was quoting via email were about $100 per month more than what Subaru.com said they should be. And he also just couldn't seem to grasp that we didn't want to talk trade-in for our Jeep before we had a deal on a Subaru. After some back and forth CJ's alleged bosses intervened and said they didn't want to do business with us because we were so mean to poor CJ. Imagine, a customer expecting straight facts! The nerve of us!! On the upside, we drove up to Peoria Subaru and got a great deal from Luigi Bianco through a Costco Auto Program referral. No BS or drama involved, a MUCH better Outback selection than in Tucson, and we ended up having one of the more pleasant car leasing experiences we've ever had anywhere. So thanks CJ Nichols, Terry Iseminger, and Curt McHenry for driving us away! We ended up with exactly the Subaru we wanted, and we saved tons of money in the bargain compared with the ridiculous prices CJ was throwing around. read more

The salesperson told me the vehicle has a 5000 mile break in period before the vehicle gets it's advertised fuel economy. I called in at 8000 miles and took it to the service department. I was told by the manager that the MGP "could be at zero" and still it would be in range of the advertised window sticker. The GM refused to help and told me to call Subaru at the corporate level. Subaru was even more worthless than the dealer. This dealership serviced my vehicle at 27000 miles and reported my multi point inspection to be green on the brakes with no issues. This service was done in September 2023. I then drove the vehicle roughly 8000 until February 2024. I was on a trip to DisneyLand and learned that the front brakes were completely METAL ON METAL and UNSAFE. I spoke with the GM and Service managers on the phone. I was instructed that they were intending not to assist and get the brake caliper and brakes replaced on Subaru's dime. This ordeal has cost me and my family two days of our time at Disneyland and has resulted in loss of time and money. I have included a video from the tech technician. Thankfully the other dealer helped. I would have been more than happy to pay for brakes before a road trip had I known the service was needed. He responded promptly, stayed late to meet with me for a test drive, and was professional and thorough throughout the entire process. This review is for the sales department or more specifically Debbie Bravo. I've been around the buying and selling of cars my entire life. And involved in more transactions than I can remember. Working with Debbie and the Tucson sales team was among the best experiences in the buying of new car my family has experienced. My father is a 100% service connected disabled Vietnam era Vet. Debbie spend a lot of time with him ensure the car was right for him. We had to order our Outback due to chip shortages. We received emails, regular updates by phone, and a very positive and caring demeanor with every experience. And every time we came into the dealership in standard poodle people bent over backwards to accommodate him as well. Its our first Subaru and we are seriously impressed with the company. Their philanthropy, discounts, and overall treatment of their customers thus far has been pretty good. We also like the fact that our outback is made in America in an environmentally responsible plant. We haven't had a lot of interactions with Service yet- so this preview is just for sales. If you live in Southern Arizona, and you want a Subaru, move. Move to Phoenix or Norther Arizona. Overall, this dealership is incompetent. When I bought my Subaru from this dealership, I purchased the "extended or extra" service agreement. I paid $2750 for that agreement. When I scheduled service at this dealership. I inquired about my service agreement. The Service department had no clue what I was talking about--they had no record of it. They double talked me, and try to sell me more than I scheduled. I cancelled the service. I tried contact the finance department that sold me the extended service, and i got the voice mail. By definition, I was swindled out of $2750, since no one has any clue of this "Service Extension" I bought from the finance officer and I cannot trust the Service department--when all I want from them is to do the typical maintenance recommended by the Subaru Service: while they just want to scare me to buy extra service. On a good note, I will go to the auto repair shop down the street--they try not to lie to me. In the end, move to Phoenix, and buy from a competent dealership. read more

My husband and I have purchased two Outbacks from Tucson Subaru. Prior to owning Subarus, we were Lexus owners. One of our worries about moving from a Lexus to a Subaru was the service. Our first purchase was in 2016 and although the service was good, there has been a significant improvement with the service. In the past month, I had to bring my 2020 Outback in twice; once for a broken windshield and once for a warranty issue. Both times the experience was exceptional!! I had to work though insurance details for my windshield and Kylie at Subaru took the lead and got everything approved. She was proactive and very customer focused! Jade and Jason were my service advisors and both explained everything in detail and even followed up the next day to make sure all my concerns were addressed. For both visits, I was able to get a loaner car which was appreciated. We are loyal Subaru owners because we love the quality of our vehicle and we love the service. We took our Forester in for an oil change. When we got the car back, we noticed that there was a greasy stain on the passenger seat. And when going through the car wash, we noticed that the hood had not been completely closed. When the servicing manager called to get feedback about their service, we told him the issues we had. He was apologetic about the grease stain, but made every excuse he could think of about the hood. He insisted it was closed; he even had the audacity to suggest the car wash had opened it! There were no discounts for future services given to us for their crappy service. Just excuses and a half-apology. We have purchased all three of our vehicles throught this dealership. We will NOT be going there again when we're in the market again for a vehicle. Nor will we take our Forester there ever again for any type of service. Highly disappointed. read more

2023 Crosstrek with Eyesight. Car has 16k miles. Second occurrence of the eyesight feature stopped working with light on and codes. Service decides to replace the camera set as part of the repair. The service tech mentions that the repair tech saw some "film"on the windshield and that might be what triggered the faults. They clean the windshield to try and remove the "film". We take the car home and enjoy the repair since when the eyesight is inop, things like cruise control do not work also. After a few days my wife mentions that the windshield has some major scratches in the middle of the windshield. So I go through the process of scheduling a return of the car. Once we go through the check in we have a vague description of what they will attempt to do. They will try to buff out the scratches. Upon returning to pick up the car we're told that they take no credit for the scratches and it must be pre-existing damage. There is no indication that any attempt was made to remove the scratches. My wife decided she wanted to speak to the service manager. We did and he again repeated the line that none of this was caused by them. He also tells us they spent 4k on the new cameras but the codes came on likely because of the scratches on the windshield. Couple of things to note on those two comments. 1. New cameras cost $2300 not $4k. Not sure where that number comes from? Called the part department to verify. 2. If a scratch on the windshield causes the eye sight system to fail wouldn't you replace it or offer to do that since no windshield known to man costs that much! Makes no sense. The final straw was when the service manager recommended we get the windshield replaced by our insurance company since we probably have coverage for it. Yeah that's ticket. Yelp on but remember that this is who you're dealing with if you buy a new car here! read more

I'm giving this review 3 stars because I believe Subaru as a whole has gotten more and more expensive to get parts and accessories, that includes a battery. Last yr I wanted to get a hitch to add a bicycle rack, when they told me that it would cost around $1200, I almost dropped, please... Their argument for this outrageous price came down to esthetics, but if you're boasting outdoor lifestyle and incorporating esthetics, they don't add up. I went to U-Haul and had one put in for $250 even with the price increase. So yesterday 11-28-23 my battery was dead when I went out to the garage, it was already acting up since it was almost three yrs old. My search started, after a few quotes of around $189 or so, that did not include installation , I decided to call Subaru, are you ready, after a call back because they dint have the price, I believe it was $650, not sure if that included insulation. I called AAA, they gave me a discount, with installation and extras $230, Subaru is getting out of reach on parts for the average customer, and they can't even answer the phone most times, I'm not impressed especially with all the accolades they get, should've bought the Toyota, I'm not even telling you all the issues I had with my Outback.... read more

This review is for the Sales department.  We like the car we purchased here and our sales consultant KEVIN was fantastic!!  Most of the salespeople we dealt with at other dealerships were terrible (rude, no car knowledge, pushy, arrogant, etc). But Kevin was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient.  He was down to earth, not pushy at all yet showed his desire to help us.  He really listened to what we were looking for without judging us and quickly matched us with the perfect car.  My wife and I appreciated his style and services and will recommend him and this Subaru dealership to all of our friends and family! My first experience with a Subaru dealer, and the process took almost a year. Began last Fall with a test drive and working with Mike Henry. I decided to wait for the 2019 Forester due to the adoption of the Subaru Global Platform and to allow me to apply for the Leave No Trace Subaru VIP program. Mike did a great job of contacting me when needed over the year - I never felt any pressure at all. When my car arrived and was ready for me yesterday we completed the transaction with no rough spots. Most people do not work we a dealership much less a single rep for a whole year to buy a car, but I did, and I can highly recommend the car (2019 Forester), the dealer, and the rep (Mike Henry). I like the vibe of this dealership. When you walk in the door everyone is super-friendly, but very zen-like. Goes with the outdoorsy pictures on the walls. The customer service area is very user-friendly with nice seating, snacks, coffee, wireless, charging ports, etc. Everything you need to pass the time if you have to wait for your car to be serviced. I'll try and remember to update my review when I return for oil changes, etc. so I can comment on the service experience. read more

I was super satisfied with the customer service and work from Sean, as we agreed to over 1000 less than listed price. The car experienced several issues, including check engine lights, loss of a license plate, and needed to be brought to service multiple times within my warranty. I was very satisfied with the service center and did not pay for labor or replacement parts. They replaces over 1000 dollars worth of parts until my problem was fixed. Although I didn't purchase my car here, Robert Pedroza was a helpful salesperson with understanding all the features in the car I was interested in. We went for a test drive and he showed all the new features such as the semi-auto driving, and infotainment system. He knew the differences between the trim levels and I felt no pressure to buy a car on that same day. Five stars on the first day of being introduced to potentially getting a Subaru. Horrible sales staff. Went to dealership and test drove vehicle. Went into sales persons office to go over financing. Talked for a few moments and she announced her other customers were in who purchased a car so she abruptly passed us off to another sales person. The new person gave us the numbers and she was unwilling to negotiate on anything. It truly felt like our business was not needed by them. To say they were rude was an understatement. I have over 98,000 miles on my 2017 Subaru Forester and have had maintenance at multiple Subarus in the states of Colorado, Louisiana, California, and Arizona. This one has the best customer service!!!! Shout out the Chris V. as my Service Advisor today. He was so thorough and nice in explaining all the details of my car's report. Service advisors country wide should be more like him. Thank you so much for the updates, explanations, and just being nice! My car was having some issues with the key getting stuck in the ignition, along with some weird fan noise I was hearing. Not only did they fix that, their inspection found a few other things off, and fixed that as well under the warranty. Thank you again Tucson Subaru!!! read more

Service department is like most dealer service. Decent amenities while waiting, friendly service advisors, etc. However, I've found that for anything more than a simple oil change, it's just not worth it. Recently went in for a regular service and was told that two leaks were found, one with the oil system, another with power steering. I asked for more info and was told that it would cost $140 to diagnose EACH issue, and that the diagnostic labor couldn't be applied toward any repair. Most (excellent) third party shops I've worked with in the same area will charge less than half that for the diagnostics, and apply that labor toward a repair. read more

Today while my vehicle was being serviced, I looked around and found an older Subaru with low miles, and more reliable (in my opinion). The older salesman didn't understand why I didn't want a new one and kept insisting that I should get something newer because that's what HE likes. He got very loud and inappropriate and called my sources, from other Subaru owners having issues with their newer Subaru's, "bullshit". I don't consider the process of buying a new car to be an enjoyable experience, but Tacoma Subaru made it relative pain free, quick and simple. My wife and I started the process by doing research online to pick out the make and model vehicle that might work for us, what a fair price might be for it, then we scheduled a test drive through Tucson Subaru's website. I was quickly contacted by Kevin G., the Internet Sales Manager. We had a good visit with Kevin and took a test drive. There was no sales pressure. Back at home we decided to buy the car that we test drove. We reached a deal with Kevin completely via email within a day or two of the test drive. Back at the dealership a couple of days later it took under two hours to complete the purchase. While some extra items were offered during the buying process (e.g.: extended service agreement, maintenance contracts, subscriptions, etc.) there was no pressure to buy anything we didn't want. Overall it was a good new car buying experience and we can highly recommend Tucson Subaru. read more

The worst car dealership in Tucson. They treated myself and my boyfriend with total disrespect. We are Seniors, Thomas is a Marine disabled Vet, we just wanted to test drive a car...the whole experience was awful, we wound up being asked to leave because the "manager" said he didn't think we could have a "relationship" with us...Huh? They missed out of a possible $70,000 worth of sales...but hey if you believe that a sales person can get in your face, almost hit you and bark at you to "sit down"....well they are the place for you....for us...I will never cross a Subaru dealership again...because of what happened here...they apparently have some sort of crazy policy that if you contact someone from the internet that you can only deal with them....well that was news to us....we had no idea what was about to happen! We just wanted to test drive a car and purchase one...but no these people got pissed I believe at my boyfriends T-shirt...and hat. They wrote back on our google review that they felt berated by Thomas? Really how? He even asked the manager to work with us to sell us a car...but no....we weren't the right customers for them....I've never felt so horrid at a car dealership...it's business...not personal, and no one builds "relationships" selling a car...these people have issues...worst experience ever...and will never say anything good about them. Flew from California to buy a certified pre owned Impreza. It's spent nearly 2 months in the shop in the past 6 months. Brakes have been replaced 3 times, window cowl has been replaced twice (most recently has completely separated from windshield within 24 hours of replacement). One would think brakes are a safety issue and if they go out so frequently the manufacturer would just stop trying to fix a problem that obviously can't be fixed....not the case yet. The car is an absolute dud I'm now waiting for Subaru of America to rectify the issue but have been back and forth for 3 months with them. I'm tempted to drive it back to Arizona and leave it on the lot but I've already paid $10k of it off and am left with little to no options at this point. read more
