All in all I'm glad I stopped here! I wanted to park overnight, but I really wanted to try this restaurant because I saw good reviews of it on other platforms, plus I love giving my business to moms and pops places, stores and restaurants. I came in, and immediately I was told to sit wherever I like. I chose the bar, even though They don't serve or have alcohol in the restaurant (But they sell it in the store). My server was a nice younger gal and took really good care of me throughout my entire trip and even chit chatted with me for a while here and there. They have so many good things on the menu that I wanted, especially biscuits and gravy, but I want to no carb kick So I had to stay disciplined! And I tell ya it was hard! I ordered the hot wings. I asked my server if they were breaded, but they're not they're naked and that's exactly what I wanted. They came out super hot, and we're really really good. I followed it up with a two pork chop supper and green beans. The pork chops were a little smaller than I was expecting, but it was still a perfect amount of food for me. They were boneless, tender and moist and my green beans were not too bad either. Cute little restaurant, this looks like a local diner because I noticed a lot of townspeople inside eating every time I went in or went by. I'm glad I stopped here! I'm fighting myself not to go in and get breakfast. I just went in there and bought coffee, but I'm afraid if I go in there I'll give in and eat carbs! Thank you for the stay Little Sandy's! I want to give a 3 for quality of food but our overall experience was great. It's a gas station diner, set your expectations accordingly. Service was wonderful! Everyone was pleasant, quick to take care of us and food came out promptly. We had a toddler with us and everyone was friendly to her and loved interacting with her. They also had high chairs available. It seemed like a popular stop for locals. We dined in on a Monday during lunch hours. It got busy shortly after we sat down. It's an easy stop, and one of few, if you're traveling in the area. Food quality was mostly frozen, premade foods. My only complaint for any of the food is the mashed potatoes. They were dry and definitely boxed. Otherwise the meal was good and to be expected. read more

Great home cooked food I had country fried steak. It was delicious I'd even say the best I've ever had. Didn't even need a knife to cut it.. the portions were big. I couldn't eat it all. The staff was very friendly and professional. Very nice ad simple atmosphere. You could sit at the counter or a table. I'll probably go back next time i'm in the area. The restaurant seemed nice, as the dining area was clean and the menu had reasonably priced food. The server told us about a special that had for sausage gravy, so that is what my husband got. He requested the gravy over toast and for cheese on his scrambled eggs. Instead he received the gravy over biscuits and cheese on his home-fries. He chose to eat it and not make a stink about it. However the biscuits where so dry the gravy couldn't save it. And the home-fries tasted terrible. Like they are canned potatoes that they tried to fry up a little. I got a steak and cheese omelet that was not too bad, but not worth $12.99. Frankly, I am not sure if we will bother for a second visit. EDIT: online it says that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, but I went in on a Monday morning and they were definitely open. read more

Our usual lunch stop when traveling West on the interstate was closed on Monday, like many others along the way and another was over crowed. Then we remembered stopping here before. Nice. Pleasant visit. Clean restrooms and plenty of table space. We sat at the small counter. The building is located in a fuel station and although we expected to see a lot of truck drivers, all the patrons at the counter appeared to be local residents. We ordered chicken sandwiches (my wife's, baked and mine fried). Both were delicious and came with French fries lettuce, tomato and onion. I had tea and she, water. Service was quick and the employees were friendly. All said and done the total bill was around $25.00. Another part of the building carried loads of snacks, package goods and everything in the world that a trucker might need for repairs on the go. This is a stop to remember when heading West on Interstate 68 on a midday Monday. read more

Well I can't review the food as we stopped and never we served. Arrived at 859 am (reason I know is I am a before 9 am breakfast guy and I said to my girlfriend that we just made it) Sat down and the waitress was taking an order from a group of about 5 people. The place had about 6 or 7 tables full of customers. Most had food already. The waitress cleaned tables, chit chatted at the bar but never came over to us. Another couple came in and she got their silverware and drinks order within minutes. She did something else and went back to them for their order. We got up to leave and she said she would be right over. We said no thanks and she was like I am the only one here. I said we were here for 15 minutes and this couple was here for 3 minutes. Terrible unprofessional service. Would not reccomend based on service. No idea on food quality. read more

Honestly most things in this local area are horrible, to keep things short all of their food is frozen and heated up in a microwave. Just absolutely horrible. Most of the service is just not there. It's mostly people from the area and it just seems as if they are not all there if your catching my drift. I wanted to hold off on this review because sometimes you just get a bad meal but this place is consistently horrible. I would recommend just going into the next town and getting food. read more

Little Sandy's is a good place to go to grab some food. It's good for what it is, a truck stop. Sometimes the wait staff isn't so friendly or welcoming, but there's been other times the wait staff are nice and pleasant. The atmosphere is what it is, a truck stop. Love, love, love this place! Little Sandy's is a restaurant in a truck stop right off of I-68 west of Morgantown WV. That said, this is NOT the place to go if you are looking for anything fancy or upscale. Little Sandy's is good old county cooking that is simple and delicious! I have only been for breakfast, so I can only comment on the breakfast food, but what I had was great. The biscuits are amazing and are clearly made from scratch. The corned beef hash is also homemade, nothing from the can! Pancakes are light and fluffy and can be ordered a la carte individually. Also if sweet tea is your thing they have that too. The location is in the middle of nothing, but if you're travelling through or in Morgantown it is definitely worth stopping. My husband and I stopped here traveling after getting gas hoping to get a quick sandwich and get back on the road. After sitting there for 45 after ordering one sandwich and feeling invisible we had to ask for our money back. Everyone who came in after us were getting their food & we had enough of being ignored. After a few nights of camping my 4 year old son and I rolled into this little "restaurant/gas station/connivence store/heroine den" right off interstate 68. At first glance we were expecting a great home cooked breakfast but that seemed to much to ask from a place like this. This whole experience started off when we walked in and stood there for a few minutes trying to figure out if a hostess will seat us or if we are to seat ourselves. After about 5 or so minutes of this some guy who looked like he just came back from milking cows in a auto repair shop told us that we can just sit ourselves. So we sat and we sat and we sat some more. We sat for such a long time that I decided to start writing this Yelp review. After 30 minutes of being completely ignored and noticed that there were 4 other tables of families like mine without menus and whatnot I decided to call it. What gets me is that this place wasn't even busy. During my waiting I looked up the Yelp reviews of this place and started realizing what kind of mistake I made. On the way out we saw the waitress. A frail 50ish woman with 80s hair who was just standing at some kind of make shift bar fidgeting with the TV remote because the table of 80 year old farmhands wanted to watch Foxnews and not a rerun of Dancing with the Stars. She didn't even bat and eye when she saw us leave which clearly leads me to believe that either A this place hates everyone who isn't local or B she is worst waitress on the face of the earth. Bruceton Mills needs more options. It's a Sunday after church and dozens of people are here; and they have a total of two waitresses, who have to do it all. Cash register, take orders, bus tables, etc. We had to move our own tables to help these girls out. Tables weren't cleaned or wiped down. Lines of customers waiting and had to leave because no clean tables were available...plenty of tables, just not 'clean' tables. The food, once we got it, was decent...they just need more help. read more

This is not a bad location, but it is not a phenomenal location either. Good? People are great. I only had a dessert, which was good, so I can't complain. For those reviews who said they didn't know about "seat yourself", there is a sign as of now that says just that. Prices are fair. Same with the convenience store, prices are average. Bad? The restrooms. The men's restroom had exposed pipes, which look ugly. The old urinal works, but even with flushing, still smells of urine. The walls of the stalls were covered in airbrush painting, which is probably better than graffiti. For truckers, they ask for $$$ in order to park, but since they don't enforce it, it is more an honor system. Also, if you have to go to Bedford/Somerset PA, DO NOT go north from the truck stop. The street is narrow (around 9' wide) and very rough, including 10 Tons Max Weight. read more

For a greasy truck stop diner, it is everything our family needed (except no changing table). We have had burgers, philly cheese steak, pancakes, chicken tenders and chicken salad they all tasted great. We had excellent service especially with our two little ones who were completely tired and exhausted from our drive. Would definitely stop on our way back through. read more
