Greyhound is inconsistent with the service it provides to all customers, Leaving passengers stranded or scrambling to find another way to get to their destinations. Thank goodness there was a Better Alternative!!! I spoke with Sebastian who was bilingual and local in a US call center I asked if he spoken English and with a half second with clear understanding he confirmed that he spoke English. I explained to him my friends' last minute problem at greyhound. 1. He acknowledged the situation immediately and put me on hold. He came back with Clear Cut instructions and information from his direct supervisor of what Tufesa would do for the passenger. 2. I was able to merger the calls and he calmed the passenger distress with his voice with clear instructions of location and direction. Explaining where the station was and it gave him time to get to the station on 27th avenue. 3. Sebastian confirmed his ticket purchase text and said that Tufesa had plenty of room for him and other passengers. That was probably the greatest experience I've have seen of a competitor bus company. The service was clean and easy and I appreciate your empathy towards the people you serve as a service company! On March 6, 2026, my daughters and I traveled from Phoenix to Nogales using Tufesa International LLC. I purchased 4 tickets through the official Tufesa app on February 20, 2026 (Receipt #1851-3109, total $168.48). At the time of purchase I selected seats 13, 14, 15 and 16 so my daughters and I could sit together, including one minor passenger. We arrived at the Phoenix terminal about two hours before departure, and at the ticket window staff confirmed that our QR codes were valid for boarding. However, when boarding began, we were suddenly told that our names were not on the passenger list. We were sent back to the ticket window even though we showed: * QR tickets * payment receipt * confirmation purchased weeks earlier We were left standing over 30 minutes while the bus was preparing to leave. During this time, an employee who identified herself only as "Alejandra" or "Alejandrina" behaved in a very rude and dismissive manner, blaming us for purchasing tickets through the mobile app and refusing to provide her full name when asked. While we were still at the terminal trying to resolve the issue, we suddenly received a notification in the system showing different seat numbers (31, 34, 27, 38) instead of the seats we originally purchased. This clearly indicates that our original seats were reassigned at the last minute. We were then forced to board with separate seats at the back of the bus, even after explaining that one passenger was a minor who needed to sit with a parent. This situation raises serious concerns regarding: * confirmed tickets not being honored * possible seat resale or overbooking * extremely poor customer service at the Phoenix location * lack of accountability from staff I have documented the incident with screenshots of the payment receipt, ticket folios, and seat reassignment, and I have submitted a formal complaint. I sometimes have auto work done in Nogales Sonora with excellent results, so I take the Tufesa bus from Phx to Nogales which is a 3 hr. trip - it's comfortable and efficient. ONCE years ago I had a street dog that adopted me and I canceled my flight to take the dog with me - we were stranded for a day in Tepic because Tufesa refused us service because they don't accept pets. I had to wait at the Tepic Bus Terminal half a day before I found a driver that would take me and the pet (in luggage). I was grateful, but that bus stopped at every city all the way to Santa Ana where I had to change buses for Nogales. The dog had major abandonment issues, so yipped often esp. when openning luggage - she made it and has lived a blessed life with us and, also, she gets to visit her home town of P.V. when we driver there most summers. This dog is always with me and has survived her issues, so I have been blessed with her - I do hope she lives forever!!!! read more

I had a terrible experience with TUFESA that resulted in me almost missing my holiday for a trip travelling from San Jose to Fresno. I booked the ticket by phone. The agent was friendly and told me the pick up time and location. When I got there 15 mins earlier, I saw the bus leaving right in front of my eyes, so I called the agent immediately, but they let me wait for 25 mins and so I couldn't talk to anyone to seek more information. In the end, I had to ask my husband to drive me there. On the way to Fresno, I called the agent again, and finally they picked up. Upon explaining the situation, they told me they got both the WRONG PICK UP LOCATION and WRONG PICK UP TIME, and apologised half hearted. I was upset but I focused on solving the problem, so I asked if I can still take the bus in the next pick up point at Gilroy. She said I can do that, because at this point she said the bus is running late (i don't know how that is possible but I just want to catch the bus so didn't ask more!!) and I can get to Gilroy before them. So we drove to Gilroy only to be told by the people working at the station that the bus has left 45 mins ago and my poor husband now has to drive 3 hours to take me to Fresno!!!!!! At this point I was furious and deeply disappointed. I called the agent again, and she apologised with little sympathy or little sense of responsibility. When I expressed my frustration and asked for a refund for a trip I didn't take, she refused, saying that is the policy. They are lucky I didn't ask for a compensation! So in the end she said her manager will call back and write a report for the incident in 72 hours. It has been 6 days, never got the phone call. I have given them the chance to fix the problem but it is clear they don't care about the customers and they don't want to owe their mistakes. hello. my trip was from Phoenix-Guaymas Sonora. Everthing was good I got their, got my ticket , when I went to get my baggage tagged. the lady said to just leave it their that they were going to but it in the bus and I was good to go in the bus to my seat. it was 12am so I did and I was trusting them. I felt a sleep, they woke us up at the border to check out baggage. I was looking and looking and I could see mine. apparently they got it in the wrong bus. how or why? I recently went to Bullhead City to spend the weekend with my sister. My mom offered to buy me a bus ticket to visit, and after seeing that the closest greyhound stop is in Kingman, I found gotobus.com and that they had a bus that stops at the casinos in Laughlin. The northbound bus left at a pretty inconvenient time, 3:30 am. It comes up from Mexico and is subject to border delays, so it was 5 hours late. So I showed up at the station, and had 5 hours to kill in the middle of the night. Guess I should have followed the booking email's suggestion to call and see what time the bus is arriving. The bus itself was pretty comfortable. It had high back seats that lean back, overhead storage, and they played movies. In Spanish though. The ride back home went off without a hitch however. If you're looking for a super cheap way to get place to place, Tufesa works. If you're going to Mexico it's probably a great option. Next time I visit my sister I'll probably get one of those casino room / tour bus packages all the retirees take to Laughlin instead. read more

Let me preface this with: If I could give less stars I would. My teenage son had a booking to ride from Kingman, AZ to Phoenix, AZ yesterday. I prepaid and purchased his ticket online weeks ago. We got to the bus station early and we were told he couldn't ride without a notarized letter stating he could. NOWHERE on the site did I find this info, he couldn't board, and his trip was delayed a day. Fast forward to today. We get to the depot at noon, which is 45 min early. Bus isn't there at 12:45 so we start calling the main office in Vegas. The idiot of a girl there answers the phone as if it's her own personal phone, doesn't even introduce herself or the company. We ask where the bus is and she puts us on hold for literally 11:30 minutes. I hang up, call back, and between her giggles she half-assed answers the phone. After 5 minutes of holding she says "the bus will be there at 2:10." I asked why the bus is 90 minutes late and she just repeats herself. We go home to burn some time after sitting at the depot for an hour, and come back at 1:55 and the bus is already there waiting. The riders all look upset and the driver gets out and explains what's going on. Evidently the girl at the depot in Vegas never told him my son was on the manifest for today, so he drove through Kingman without stopping and was an hour past kingman on the way to Phoenix when she radioed and told him to come back for my son. You can imagine the anger of the passengers, all of which is now directed at my teenage son whom is - at this exact moment - riding for 3 1/2 hours to Phoenix with a bunch of angry strangers that are two hours later getting to their destination. Tufesa. Oh, Tufesa. First of all, I admire their gusto and enthusiasm for the website that touts ticket purchasing capabilities...that doesn't work. So, since we couldn't buy online, we headed to the brick and mortar location. We were able to purchase our tickets without a hitch and, my favorite part, when we told the attendant about the website glitches they responded "Oh, yeah, it doesn't work." Love it. Really, it makes me laugh. Now, that was buying a ticket (and quite affordable I must say). When it actually came down to travelling with Tufesa, we enjoyed a relatively smooth ride. We purchased the regular economy tickets, and took advantage of the student discount. While I don't really have any "cons" there were a few "hmmms." So, I'll list those and the "pros." Keep in mind, both our trips were night rides. Pros The buses + were reasonably comfortable and clean + had outlets available next to each seat + The bus stations were conveniently located (for us) + Soft lighting was used to wake up passengers when necessary Hmmms - On our departing trip, the attendant inside took our ticket stubs, which the bus attendant asked for when we boarded... - The driver on our way back, for a portion of the trip, played music, loud enough that we could hear it halfway back... - We couldn't find the outlets on the departing bus, but we did on the returning bus. I would totally use Tufesa again, though mostly to travel into Mexico again. That saves me the need to get auto insurance across the boarder, and I personally hate driving :) The night buses were sleep-able and it made the travel time a minimal detraction from the trip as a whole. read more

If you are going to buy the ticket online and you have more than one passenger, remember DO NOT CHECK OUT TOGETHER. Otherwise, you'll get charged more for every additional passenger. If the price is $10 per person, and you choose 4 passengers at the check out. The second passenger will get charged$15, the third will get charged $20, the fourth will get charged $25, which makes the total payment $70. But if you check out separately by choosing one passenger only at a time, you'll save lots of money as for each passenger is $10, and you'll only get charged $40, which is a $30 difference!!! Their unreasonable charging system gives me a very bad mood and experience. There's no alert nor warning nor explaining for that additional charging. And there's no refund nor cancel for you. I found this and booked it online with gotobus.com. The price was about $40 cheaper than greyhound. The bus was clean and the driver was very professional. The seats have power plugs which was cool. AC worked great. The movies were either in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish. I could only hear about every other word due to road noise, so whatever. I called before the pickup time as requested on the online reservation ticket and stayed on hold for 15 minutes! Hung up then called again and got nothing but a busy signal. I was lucky there were other passengers waiting because the bus doesn't stop if they haven't been told someone is there. I guess that makes the drive faster. Also: I had no idea there was a transfer. I'm stuck at the bus terminal in Vegas for 4 hours. My ticket says depart at noon arrive at 3 am. I would have preferred to see that on my itinerary like with what I've seen on plane tickets. The terminal is an old repurposed convenience store. It's old and the seats are plastic row seats. At least the ac works. I would ride this bus again if I have to like today, but I don't typically ride the bus for good reason. read more

Terrible overall experience, we got stranded in Kingman when our car broke down so I bought tickets for my wife and myself to get to Vegas so we could get on a plane the next day. The bus company called us and said they were an hour an a half behind, at the hour and a half point of waiting we called again they said they would find out and call us back but never called me. Half hour later they showed up, the bus was pretty comfortable but nobody spoke English and the movies were in Spanish only. On the website they gave me a choice of destinations in Las Vegas, I was supposed to get dropped off at the south end of the strip by our hotel, instead they went to the terminal 6.5 miles north, they left us with two bags a piece in north Vegas in the middle of the damn night, we then had to spend 30 bucks on a cab to bring us where we were supposed to be dropped off.
