He's extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely patient--he took the time to understand what I needed the shed for and answered every question I had without ever making me feel rushed or "sold." The biggest thing I appreciated was Fred's honesty. I came in pretty set on a few upgrades, and instead of just ringing them up, he explained what would and wouldn't actually benefit me. He helped me choose what made the most sense for my specific use and setup--clearly focused on the best outcome for me as the customer, not the biggest ticket. I know a bit about sales and this guy was very honest, doesn't come up as the upselling type. Removed some unnecessary options I thought I needed, this of course saves me a buck or two. I appreciate you! Some hiccups did happened along the build, but Super Fred Tubbs was on it. Everything resolved quick and to my satisfaction. I don't mean if there is a screw up with build or parts it's going to take a couple of days. It's seriously resolved the next day or 2. If it wasn't for him pushing it, I'm not sure how long it would take to get resolved. Communication is key as well and well Fred is very responsive. Never felt irritated or annoyed with my 1 million questions. I mean, I'm going to have a bit of questions, measure twice cut once? Water is Getting into both windows!!!We are having a nightmare because the installation looks great, but we run a rain simulation with a water house and water ended up getting into both windows. 1. Not thrilled with their factory pre-fab construction - must of been the 'B team' that day. Installer was OK, but wasn't masked-up. 2. One wall stud only was nailed at the floor plate, nothing in wall panel or top plate. Really spotty nailing throughout. Sales guy said we build to code, but this would never pass. 3. Levelling was done on wood scraps, not the cement blocks shown in all the pix. 4. Random nails/staples sticking OUT from the siding, need to be cut off, and paint touch-up. 5. Horizontal panel butts should have has flashing (z-bar), but were just caulked. This will likely be a water ingress point in the future. read more

I went through a journey with Tuff Shed getting my 3 sheds ordered and built. The sheds are very solid and well put together. The sheds are not inexpensive (I spent over $12000 for 3 sheds) , but they do seem solid and Tuff Shed did everything for the installation and build. I'm pleased I purchased them. I did have some construction issues that I worked with the management team to resolve. I worked with Mike, he was very engaged and helpful - wanting to do the right thing for me and Tuff Shed. I used the online design feature and was able to really plan out the workshop that I was going for. I opted for 8x12 foot with several windows, vent, and skylight. Well, we've had two Tuff Sheds for over 20 years. A "Tall Barn" with 2 lofts and window and a Garden Shed with window. A couple of years ago, termite damage (Dry Wood Termites) on the Garden Shed door forced me to call Tuff Shed to see what options I hand. "No problem. We can replace the door." Which they did. Recently I had some dry rot on the barn door. Again... the barn is over 20 years old. Called Tuff Shed in Anaheim again, but this time I said... "I Need a new door". And out they came. I firmly believe that a Tuff Shed is a excellent investment in outdoor storage. Metal and Vinyl sheds do not hold up and begin looking worn in no time. Wow. I have never encountered a ruder sales rep than the one that greeted us as we first walked into the showroom. The man at the first desk, who never offered his name (nor asked for ours), immediately launched into the ineptitude of our wonderful online rep, Home Depot stores, and the people who shop there, and how Tuff Shed was too expensive for people who don't know how to do their own carpentry. He never asked us what brought us in, our intent for a shed, or anything about us other than our zip code. This was the most awful, condescending experience I have EVER encountered from anyone selling a product. It's not fun being talked down to and talked over when we had a question or concern about a product we came in to inquire about! Acting like a gatekeeper he never stood up or invited us in and seemed hesitant to let us into the showroom to look at the floor models. We finally just walked past him anyway (since we had already driven out), but after being berated for coming in, and ignored completely while on the floor, we stayed no more than 3 minutes as it was very uncomfortable. Worse, we made several phone calls when we got home and found out he actually gave us incorrect information (which could have been corrected if he had only asked any questions or listened to anything we were saying about our plans for the shed). I don't know what this guy's deal is, but he comes across as unhinged, and my husband and I will never return nor recommend this business to anyone. read more

I would never suggest or refer this company to anyone. The salesman at the first desk when you walk in is beyond rude condescending and speaks down to people. I've heard this from more than one person I'd say they would never deal with that place based on that guy he really needs to be a little more educated himself as well. Foundations are not bolts, and having a conversation with him was impossible continually interrupted and was very condescending. I stopped here with my dad because he recently purchased a shed but unfortunately came across some issues once installed. He was told to submit a warranty claim so he did. I went along with him since my dad isn't to well with filing claims so I went with him to make sure everything was to his expectations. When I first walked into the showroom I was amazed and was really interested in the different sheds they have for show. As soon as we got there, we were directed to the correct location. The manager, I believe his name was Richard, was definitely a cool guy. He was knowledgeable at his job and was able to resolve our issues. He had a great attitude and kept smiling and made a stressful situation better. We even started bonding over sports. My dad and him are huge football fans so they were talking for awhile comparing their teams. Such a really cool guy and such great customer service skills which is a must when you are assisting people with concerns. But anyways, this place is local so no need to travel if you are in the OC. In February, I moved from a house with massive storage to a house with minimal basic storage. I have a LOT of stuff. Used to have more. It's so depressing to see people using their garage as an expensive storage space. Garages are for weekend cars, bikes, boats and all of the other toys and hobbies that make life worth living. The idea of paying for a storage unit is totally against my religion. So what to do? Enter Tuff Shed. I had some space behind the house that was just perfect for an 8' wide shed. I called Fred at the Anaheim store then came by to see for myself. I had a million questions, but he patiently and enthusiastically answered all of them and gave good advice with no sales pressure. I went home and mulled over all of the options and colors. I could even order it in colors that mostly matched my house. The following week I called him back to place my order. Then I changed it at least once, but they were able to handle it. Everything is built pre-fab and painted right there in the Anaheim factory showroom. I was worried that they'd have to crane it over the fence, but it turns out that they deliver it flat, walk the pieces to the back, and put up the whole bad-boy in one day! It was amazing to behold. My picky dad and another "old guy" friend both approved. Last month, I had some major yard work done and the paint was damaged a bit. Think before your purchase regarding their lock system. My work shed is 3 years old, (quality great) called to get more keys made and this tuffshed lock system discontinued. Asked what tuffshed recommends? I now need to purchase a whole new lock system and have all new keys made. May not be an issue for a home shed but we are a business with need for 14 keys and this specialty lock for extra thick door and a person knowledgeable to install it. Don't recommend buying their system for locks. Frustrated customer. read more

I contacted Fred Tubbs and Tuff Shed about replacing my old metal shed behind my home. I live in an HOA controlled complex so I needed to meet their requirements. Fred worked with me tirelessly to try and appease the HOA, but it proved to be a no-go because my association required "Hardie Board" be added to the exterior of the shed. Tuff Sheds are already beautifully finished on the exterior and this was just another unnecessary expense for me. I could not purchase the Tuff Shed and was very disappointed about it. However, my review is for the excellent help and fast response I received from Fred Tubbs. My sister ended up ordering a shed from Fred and it is both beautiful and extremely well built.
