I literally could not believe how rude this guy was on the phone. I called with a simple question asking about what type of garage he could build for me. Instead of answering that question, he proceeded to lecture me about permits, plot plans, setbacks and so forth. I've just been through a major construction project on my home and I already knew all that stuff, and it wasn't what I was asking him. Listen everyone when you see Tuff Shed commercials they like to talk a good story like they are going to be a honest company and they like to convey to potential customers that they are the number one shed company. Well my experience was a nightmare that they still have not resolved. Not only did they send out builders that did not install the roof correctly and had to come out and redo it. They did not bring the pegboard I ordered and had to come back another day to install it which you can see in the pictures that the guy did a very unprofessional job installing it. Not only was it cut jaggy it was not installed up to the top of the wood and there is a ugly gap there. They also did not install all my shelves and after many months and numerous phone calls they have refused to refund my difference and just stole my money. The customer service is very rude and for a big company like this you would not think they would be so rude and steal a customers money. I even made the mistake of tipping their installers a $100.00 for a lousy install. Once this company takes your order and money if the install does not get everything you ordered they just steal the difference instead of refunding your hard earned money back. And they put you through so much stress it nearly sends you to the emergency room. I paid thousands of dollars for my shed and I will never recommend this company. I have a paralyzed husband and many many things that I have to do all by myself. My life is very stressful and I did not need yet another company that are cheats and rude. Take my word for it that they are only nice until they get the thousands it cost to build one of these sheds and after that you get what I did. I will report them to the better business bureau. I've waited a long time to get my Tuff Shed. I was very excited to finally get my things out of storage and put it in my nice Shed. I first went to Home Depot. They had No Idea how to help me? Very disappointing and it's my store I used to love in Brea. The customer service is horrible, manager made me feel I was a bother and Garrett was very rude. I called the sales guy on the pamphlet at the Anaheim Hills store. He was the only bright spot. George was very helpful and made it easy to order by phone. Installers showed up at 7:05 in the morning. I was supposed to get a call when they were a half hour away and they were supposed to show up at 8 or later. I asked them to wait a little bit and their response was not friendly or courteous. They started hauling the wood for my shed over my wall, after I opened gate for them. I told them I was told they aren't allowed to do that? He responded," It's not like I'm going to throw them over"! I almost stopped them there. I left for work and came home to a vent way off center, chipped wood and paint in places it shouldn't. George was nice about it, agreed with me on how bad the customer service was and he had to help me schedule a warranty guy to come out. Finally got a call from the GM.That was tough getting a hold of their GM. I got a text from I guess the warranty dept. that said," Is there anything else that's wrong besides the vent?" I had told them already, took pictures and sent them to the GM and I didn't even know who was texting me? So weird and disappointing that person didn't even introduce themselves. Warranty guy came out and was another bright spot. Very nice and worked 3 hours longer than it took to build the thing?? Still not finished. He said he ran out of supplies and said I didn't need to sign because he would come back and fix 2 more studs. That was 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard a darn thing from anyone? GM of Tuff Shed or their warranty Dept.? Very disheartening and the worst Customer Service I've experienced in a long time. 2 stars for the Salesguy and the warranty guy. As with most people, I was anxious about the delivery and build of the Tuff Shed that I had ordered. I was presently surprised that on the day of the build, I received a call from Shawn Stewart 30 minutes before his arrival. When the team of three (Shawn Stewart. Mike Rardin, and Andy Plascenicia) arrived, they started to work right away. It was unbelievable how well coordinated this bunch of professionals worked. There was almost no talking. Each man had a job to do, and without talking everyone began working. I just sat back and watched watch the well-orchestrated performance. They set all the walls and other parts out on the lawn and repainted everything. The professionalism and attention to detail was far above what I expected. No detail was left unattended. I purchased my shed from this location 12 years ago. I just had some wood rot in the floor and placed a call to see if they had a department who could repair the damage, and yes I understood it would not be under warranty. I was promised a call back either later that day or at the latest the following day from the manager. The call never came. I called the following Monday and was told that he would call me back later that day, the call never came. I have since found and independent who did fantastic work. Was really looking forward to my new shed since I already had a Tuff Shed that came with our home. I purchased the same identical garden shed except the new one is 2 feet longer. AFTER it was installed I noticed the differences. New is pressed wood, treated wood base on dirt, shimmed and blocked to level with no skirt included, 5 year warranty. 7 year old shed was made of plywood, metal base, skirted, and a 7 year warranty. Old was about $900 less and much nicer. I doubt the new will last the warranty. Had to hire someone to skirt it because it looked so bad and it was open for all sorts of little critters and bees to make a home. Very disappointed. Fred was nice enough to deal with until it was installed and I asked for skirting of cement shingle siding. No, tuff! read more

I bought an 8x14 Tuff Shed because they looked well made on display at Home Depot and I have had other plastic sheds that I was not happy with. This was far from a good experience from the start but they eventually made it right. First the door frame was prefabricated on the completely wrong area, then amatuer installers were awful. I was quoted about 6 hours install time and it took like 11 hours, with the "foreman" a 20 something year old and his trainee. Well the foreman went on lunch with his his girlfriend for about 4 hours leaving the trainee. I had broken wall panels, gaps where light would enter from thoe floor and the panels, damaged door, nails poorly shot from positioning and over sunk. Multiple repair visits, missed appointments, appointments that were scheduled for repairs to commence but turn out to be one of their supervisors to see what happened. I took about 24 hours off work for install day and repair days. The sales rep was very helpful, Home Depot only said deal with the company. In the end I am pretty happy but wow what an experience. You definitely want to inspect every aspect of your assembled product and be there for it. I gave them 3 stars as only because they eventually addressed all my issues. read more

I called him out for his behavior and he seemed surprised. Im sure he talks to people like this all time. Unless I am utterly mistaken and business is booming, I thought he would be happy for a sale. I guess not. Ill take my business elsewhere. Tuff Shed was a disaster to work with. The sales man was unprofessional and lazy. Once he was paid he didn't return our phone calls and frankly didn't care. They sent out three different 3rd party contractors to finish the shed. The first guys were great. However they could not finish because the door was not provided to them by Tuff Shed, the small windows were too big and the trim was wrong. A week later, the second subcontractor came with the a discolored door, the same windows from the last visit that weren't the right size and installed them anyway. He didnt get door hardware from Tuff shed so someone else had to come back a few days later. Today the third subcontractor showed up with door hardware and installed trim. The trim looks like crap. The response for the door being discolored was that it is primed for paint..hmmm..Well then paint it. Why are they not painting the door if they paint everything else? If we had known what kind of service we were in for we would have found someone else. Let's just say the level of attention to detail went down dramatically with each new contractor. Would we recommend this company to another? No!! I gave two stars because the first contactors did a great job. Also there was one person in Tuff shed that would answer the phone, a young lady that helps with delivery. read more

Beautiful process for design. Promises all over the place regarding install. But the day before install, they change install time from morning to afternoon. We remind that we need morning and they confirm. The next day comes, we are expecting install between 8 and 11am. They never show. We place repeated calls to tough shed, we are told that tough shed contracts the install out to a contractor, the contractor doesn't know where the installers are, and they've apparently been looking for our house, or en route, for the past 3 hours. We are in Huntington Beach, 15 minutes from Tough Shed. No one knows anything. Very poor experience. Thanks for nothing, Marrissa, in scheduling. read more

Spoke with the representative of Tuff Shed over the phone who answered all my questions and provided suggestions on preparing the location where the shed would be built. Within a week, they came down and did the installation. A small issue came up with regards to the venting location on the shed, however, the installers made a few phone calls and implemented a solution at no cost to me.
