Horrible Company. Will not stand behind their product. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! The side door to my garage is rotting 15 months after installation. I purposefully built the pad it sits on 2 inches higher than the rest of the driveway so water intrusion wouldn't be an issue. I was just told today: "ANY modifications made to the garage to include the electric work you had done voids your warranty." (The electric subpanel is several feet from the door and has no water intrusion issues.) I specifically asked, "Are you saying I cannot have electricity put in my garage without voiding my warranty?" Tuff Shed's answer was "That is correct." I also asked if Tuff Shed does electric work so that their buildings can have power. I was told "no." With no electricity allowed, you can forget about having a garage door opener installed. You'll also be expected to use a flashlight if you need to go into your garage at night, much less use a power tool that needs to be plugged in. Tuff Shed specifically asked for inside and outside pictures of the whole garage after I sent them detailed photos of the rotten door frame. I suspect this was so they could find any little modification in order to deny the warranty. read more

I do not recommend Tuff Shed for their business practices. The quality of their workmanship and materials is okay and met (not exceeded) our expectations. However, be careful with ordering additional services - ensure that your shed building is built on an area with sufficient space for workers to construct. We paid $200 for construction of the shed on space that they deemed insufficient as to clearance between our house and fence. We were told the workers would not construct the shed in that space and would build it in another area. We would have to pay for additional workers to move the building from that space to the space we wanted it. The builders came to our home and built the shed in the space that was deemed inadequate with no problems and not need to bring in additional workers to move the building into the supposedly inadequate space. This was an outright mischaracterization of the work performed and there was no need to pay the additional $200 to move the shed to the "inadequate" space area. Very deceptive and when I called to request a refund for the $200 we paid for the non-service of moving the building, the company representatives were very rude and actually hung up on me. I would recommend not dealing with them. I should have looked at their reviews as there have been over 30% negative on Facebook. I had a Tuff Shed Premier Ranch 10x12 installed yesterday, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish! The installers called ahead when they were on their way and arrived right on time at 7 AM. They were excellent at communicating, making sure the shed was placed exactly where I wanted it, and keeping me informed throughout the process. The installation was completed in just 6.5 hours, and they took the time to walk me through all the features and details at the end. My shed includes two skylights and interior shelving, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. David was especially great--professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I couldn't be happier with the results! The shed looks amazing, and the quality is exactly what I was hoping for. From start to finish nothing but problems . I was at their showroom in Pennsauken New Jersey . I was told that the upcoming Saturday would be a big sale . Financing options available . My salesman made a 9:00 a.m. appointment for me on Saturday . This was on Thursday . Saturday comes I show up at the store at 9:00 a.m. sharp . Nobody's there . Quarter after , 9:30. Nobody's there . So I tried contacting Tough Shed . I got bounced all over the place until finally someone in New York answer the phone . He informed me that my salesman quit on Thursday . The day he made the appointment for me . Nobody contacted me . They let you sit in their parking lot for 40 minutes . The salesman in New York said he could see the notes left by the previous salesman . We could continue with your purchase . Fine. I was told the fellas would be at my home by 12:00 noon . This was a week later. 1:00 rolls around . Nothing not so much as a phone call . So I called again . Oh there people had car trouble . Will be there . At 2:30 that afternoon they showed up . Nobody spoke English . I tried explaining to them that the shed they were starting to erect was quite crooked . They looked at me like I had two heads . After a bunch of hand motions the guy finally understood what I was trying to say . So he moved the base of the shed . Now it's crooked to the left . They've already started building the walls so now it can't be moved any longer . I was supposed to get their upgraded floor . I didn't . When you go to their showroom and look at their samples they're beautiful . Real good solid wood , joins together tight. I mean it was a nice shed . That's not what I received . The cheapest plywood possible for flooring . Busted up 2x4s that didn't join in a lot of spots . The door didn't latch . I didn't get the vents I was supposed to get . We'll take care of it they tell me . They send the same three guys back to my house during a torrential rainstorm to cut in holes for the vents and to put what I was told was some type of waterproofing on the floor . It was paint WTF I kid you not . Furthermore they wanted to apply this paint in the pouring rain high winds , nobody would paint on this day . So I get in touch with my contact and tell him to call his people in my yard to tell them not to paint a thing . They weren't even going to put primer down first on bear plywood . He said he would let them know . I also told him to tell them to come back on a nicer day to apply it . So the three guys leave . I go look in my shed after the rain stops . They painted the floor . After I was specific to the manager to tell them not to paint until the weather was better . The fix for my door latch , all they needed was to shim it . They replaced the whole handle assembly with the same outcome ! It wasn't latching properly . On to District management . A guy named Timothy Williams . He hears all my concerns asked if he could come out to take a look . I tell him sure . We set up a time which was to be noon on a Thursday . At 12:40 p.m. I start calling . I have a 1:30 doctor appointment to get to . So when I finally do get in touch with him I told him turn around go back to where you came from . Call me later to reschedule I have to go . He said he tried calling me several times . That's total bullshit . I have my call log saved. No incoming . Only me calling them . This guy is a district manager . I expected him on time . So this is where we stand . I paid for half the shed up front . I will put the remaining money into an escrow account until my problems are solved , or a major deduction off the price is given . Because I didn't get anything close to what I saw in their showroom . Save yourself the hassle people . Find a different shed company . They can't be any worse . I wish I had read more

I payed 3K for a small shed which was poorly installed. The door is warped, the trim is incorrectly nailed. And in spite of calling and reporting the mistakes, the response was totally negative as far as making the corrections. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT THAT REQUIRES AN INSTALLATION. They do not return calls or emails and its been 4 days and have heard nothing about my virtual appointment. I guess they only do business with Home Depot now because I cannot get them to answer. I wish I could say I had a good experience , payed 3k for a shed, it took them 3 days to put it together which was no problem It was installed incorrectly , the door was installed incorrectly , so they came out to flip the door, which was ok The tech said text me and I will come out with some paint to touch up where they made holes. Well I text the tech , and no he is not available and no one is coming out to fix the half way done job. I'm giving them 2 stars out of my generosity. One star is for the shed itself. It is a solid, nice shed. The other star is for the sales process. The online tool was great to use to design the shed, and then working with Sandy was good. After that, it went down hill quickly. It took a week to get a finished shed installed. I had half a shed sitting in my backyard while the installers went on to other installs. I had to call multiple times over the course of the week, and to be honest, had to be a pain in their butt to finally get my shed finished. I was then promised by the Assistant Manager, Jon, that he would give me a ramp for my inconvenience. It took 2 weeks for them to bring that out, and it is not installed because they didn't bring all the parts. So again, due to their lack of communication and preparedness, I have an uninstalled ramp sitting in my shed. Of course, it's on me to call them to get them to come finish it. Will probably be another 2 week process. If you don't want the hassle of all of this, then buy a shed from another company. If you don't mind the headache, then it is a quality shed. read more

BEWARE! This has been the absolute worse experience I have ever had with HomeDepot and its affiliates. HomeDepot you seriously need to fire this company. We were treated so poorly today. I cannot believe how much time these people wasted of ours and then what they did my sod contractors that were scheduled for after the install. How we were treated was a disgrace. WOULD NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER SHED FROM Tuff Shed!! Purchase a shed through Home Depot and it was delivered and built on January 29. The trim for the four corners of the shed was cut short and makes the shed look incomplete. The installer said a different crew would contact me and schedule the fix. Never received a call. Contacted the person that scheduled the installation and was told a warranty would be put in and someone else would contact me. Never received a call to schedule the repair. I contacted the sales manager and she forwarded my email to three other people and still no response. After spending over $2000 I expected a simple fix like this would have been easy to do! It is now 5 weeks later and still nothing. I will take the lost and fix it myself and move on with my life. read more

Worst. Service. Ever. Placed order for the shed at Home Depot and from there on, it was an absolute nightmare! Waited 6 months for the shed to be built on a timeline we were promised 6 weeks. The permit technician is a terrible human being who is the most lazy, incompetent individual and tuffshed should be ashamed to employ her. She also lied several times about having submitted paperwork for our permit (and did it finally with the skill of a 3rd grader). In the end, the builders who came and installed the shed were great, and the shed itself is awesome quality, but ONLY hire them if you're a masochist who likes to be treated like doodoo along the way and strung along for months. read more

We went to Home Depot and used Tuff Shed to purchase a shed for $14,000 that had a loft. After 3 months of waiting for install upon arrival we weren't told until we asked on day 2 of install where the loft was. At that point we were told they were sorry but they could not build the loft. no One one bother to call us to tell us 3 months prior that this build wasn't possible. Also paid upfront $14,000 now to get my refund of $600 I have to go to the store to start refund process. Very disappointed in how this was handled. Home Depot - Steve when we called to start refund cut us off was rude and said we have to come to the store. I tried to order a shed from Tuff Shed which cost over $6000.00 They had my husband and I running back in forth to the permit office. Wanted to charge us $275.00 if they had to pick up the permit. But did not offer always had an excuse. Long story short the permit office wanted a copy of their liability insurance in case a worker got hurt on our property. The manager had the nerve to say "well maybe we are not the company for you and I hate to pass up any money". They email me an expired insurance paper. Said that they had the umbrella insurance company and as soon as I pay the money for the shed they will email me the paper for the company that has the liability insurance. Didn't sound right too me when I tried to contact them they would not answer any of our calls. I am so glad that they are not the only Shed builders in the world. Apparently they wanted my homeowners insurance to cover if any of their workers get hurt on my property. Not happening!!! And when I ask them about someone getting hurt on my property I was told by Tuff Shed I would be the one responsible since I pull the permit. This is what the Permit office did not want me to do.
