Not sure…read moreif Tuesdays are usually quiet or if everyone in town was off getting tacos and margaritas elsewhere, but honestly it worked out great for us. The atmosphere was really laid back and comfortable. It had that casual downtown brewery vibe without feeling loud or chaotic, which made it easy to actually hang out and talk. Definitely felt more relaxed than some of the packed spots nearby that night. Trevor was the only server/bartender working and he was absolutely hustling the entire time. Even while juggling the whole floor and bar, service stayed friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. They have a really solid selection of house-brewed beers, plus a full bar if cocktails are more your thing. The biggest surprise though was the food. Everything tasted really fresh and homemade instead of typical "brewery food." We started with the Brussels sprout appetizer and it was SO good, super flavorful and a great portion for sharing. The chicken quesadilla was more of a classic/basic quesadilla, but still really tasty and packed with toppings. The fish and chips ended up being the table favorite. The fish was crispy and fresh, the tartar sauce was excellent, and they served it with this red pepper-style sauce that was also amazing. We also ordered loaded fries and loaded tots. Both came covered in beer cheese, bacon, and chives. The tots especially were incredible, they were super thick and potatoey inside while still crispy outside. This ended up being such a pleasant surprise stop for us after skipping a few overly crowded places nearby. Great food, great service, relaxed atmosphere, and by the end of the meal everyone at the table had already said multiple times that we wanted to come back.

My fiance and I came here on a Saturday afternoon before meeting with some friends. We ordered the blonde, Belle Isle and IPA, Knights Night. Beer was cold and in good portion. We shared the pork tacos and brussel sprouts. The pork was on the drier side and the sprouts didn't have the bacon that I loved with SBC. Overall, we'd just come back for the beers.

My husband and I have not been to downtown Sanford but recently did come for a friend's birthday. She wanted to hop around different drink spots and have dinner. Since we carpooled, parking was better. We were able to find street parking. There is no designated parking for this spot. We got there very early and decided to stop here. We ended up coming back later with everyone but we enjoyed it. This is a small bar with standing room only at the bar but then they have a huge back area with lots of bench style tables and seating. Their drink menu is also very large with tons of beer options to choose from. They offered a wide range of beers, craft beer, stouts, ciders and more. I am not a huge craft beer fan so I struggled. I ended up telling the bartender what I like and he had a couple of suggestions. He also let me sample one of the ciders, which I ended up getting. I choose the Cider Boys Strawberry Cider. Really great, not overly sweet just very tasty. My husband loves craft beer and will always look for one with a high ABV. He went with the Voodoo Where our Secrets go Stout Imperial from Pennsylvania. It had a high ABV and was a dark beer, he really enjoyed it. Both times we sat outside. The second time we came over, was later in the evening and more full than the first time. They also had a musician singing, which made it extremely loud and very hard for our group to chat. Overall this is a great spot. If we lived closer I could see us coming here more frequently. We do not find ourselves visiting Sanford a lot but if we are in the area, we would for swing by again. If you live closer, I would highly recommend coming here for the vibes, the ambiance and the beers. You can also bring your dogs which is a nice touch. My only negative is there is not food to order. I would love some bar snacks or pub style food. You can bring your own food in but it would make this an A Plus if you they served food.

There are both bar and table options depending on your needs. We sat at the bar and Michael was our server and also part owner. It was pretty busy so took a few minutes to welcome us and bring menus but once he was there, he was very friendly and attentive. We didn't notice the huge sign on the wall telling you how to place your drink order. We weren't very hungry but if you are, they have a fairly large menu with literally something for everyone. We tried the garlic cheesy bread. If you don't love fresh garlic, don't order this as it's got a heavy dose of garlic on crunchy, delicious bread. We really enjoyed it. Very good selection of beers as well as higher end wines than a lot of breweries offer. We liked the place so much, I bought a cute woman's t-shirt to remember our fun time here. Go with complete confidence as it's very clean in a casual atmosphere with friendly service.

I knew that Hollerbach's had a brewhouse where you can purchase everything you need to become a home brewer but I had no idea that they opened up this little taproom inside. They offer a variety of beers - Golden Lager, German Fest Beer, Irish Red Ale, Hazy IPA, Cran-Apple Sour, Double IPA, Belgian Tripel Ale, Belgian Strong Ale, and a Nitro Imperial Stout. They were also carrying several other local breweries brews, and they offer flights if you want to sample a little of everything. Pricing is on par with most other breweries in the area and you can even purchase smaller samples $3.50-$5.00 depending on the brew. I ordered the Krampus Belgian Strong IPA ($7.50) in spirit of the event going on and the guy at the counter gave me two cups half full. I asked him if he did that because of the foam and he said it was because they are 8oz servings due to the ABV percent is high. I understand that but why are you giving me two? He didn't say anything and said that would be $16.05, WTH?? Nancy was not happy with is nonchalant character all but I said, you know what I'll probably drink both anyways so no big deal, but honestly that is not an acceptable business practice and they guy just basically ignored our dissatisfaction at the situation. I admit that the beer was delicious but the employee's ownership of his mistake or ignorance to what just happened was a big turn-off. Great job on making this delicious brew but good luck keeping customers coming back with this guy running the tap and register.

Absolutely -- here's the more over-the-top version:…read more WestEnd might honestly be one of Sanford's best-kept secrets. First off, on Tuesdays they've got the 6/7 deal -- 6 wings and fries for $7. In 2026, seven dollars barely gets you a sad drive-thru combo, but somehow WestEnd is out here feeding people like inflation never happened. Then there's Nicole in the kitchen, who I'm convinced is some kind of miracle worker. The wings are ridiculous, the sandwiches are some of the best around, and whoever decided to start making fried Uncrustables deserves a raise, a trophy, and possibly their own holiday. Yes, you read that correctly. FRIED. UNCRUSTABLES. It sounds like something you'd make at 1:30 in the morning after several questionable decisions -- except these are actually amazing. Behind the bar, Brit and Susie are the best and prettiest bartenders in town. Great drinks, great service, and they somehow manage to keep smiling while dealing with the rest of us. Come for the $7 wings, stay for the sandwiches, absolutely order the fried Uncrustables, and be nice to Brit and Susie. 10/10. WestEnd is basically a five-star restaurant disguised as a bar where nobody judges your life choices. I can make it even more ridiculous and roast the regulars a little too.

We each got burgers, and 2 appetizers, the pretzel and the kettle chips with blue cheese and balsamic reduction. The balsamic reduction was not a reduction - it was practically straight balsamic vinegar that pooled on the bottom and soaked the chips. Couldn't eat them. The mustard with the pretzel was great though. The burgers were a mess, and were not even patties - just chunks of ground beef held together with cheese. And it didn't taste like a burger. It was simply awful. We each took a bite then walked out. Fortunately you pay and order at the bar before you even sat down so we could just get out of there. The hose made kettle chips they advertise with Wop's seasoning - we literally saw the cook open a large bag of store bought chips and sprinkle pepper on them.
