She's a bartender and a server so she took the time to actually figure out what I liked in the drink. I found that extremely helpful and I would come back just to be served by her. Ambience is always important and like I said, the sound was extremely loud, but all the golfers were relaxing and enjoying their time together. Didn't really bother me as much as it bothered my wife. We were sat down quickly our server helped us figure out what type of drinks we wanted, and I can't thank her enough for her fantastic professionalism and sweet demeanor. That's the type of people that I want to work in restaurants and deal with people day-to-day. The food was fast to our table, hardy and savory. I saved my fish and chips for the next day and after dinner, we went outside and sat by the fire for an hour and a half. Our waitress broke away from what she was doing to go make sure the fire was stoked, hot and ready for us. Now the fire, that is an awesome fireplace outside. Stacks of wood neatly arranged next to the large fireplace that extends approximately 15 feet high or more. There must've been 30 pieces of wood in the fire, and it was roaring! I loved it and so did my wife! This is the place to go folks if you need a good experience with customer service and excellent food. And the drinks were terrific. Our waitress nailed the drinks! We were sad to see her go for the evening, but we were picked up by another great server. If you're looking to golf, the golfers all started, this is the best place in the world to golf at. Not being a golfer, I had to listen and analyze why they thought so. I had visited Pebble Beach and never golfed there but wow, I never knew Bandon, Oregon was the top destination for Golfing. While I understand that special events happen, I don't understand why customers with confirmed reservations should be expected to wait an additional hour. If the restaurant knew a large party would affect seating, they should have either limited reservations for that time or notified guests in advance so they could make other plans. We specifically reserved well ahead of time to avoid this kind of situation, so it was very disappointing. We left feeling frustrated and that our reservations simply weren't honored. I hope management reviews how reservations are handled when large events are scheduled so future guests don't have the same experience.
