About a month later I contacted his assistant back and asked what his cost would be if he were to represent us in this case. She consulted Mr. Cheeley, and we were told that we would have to pay for another consultation to receive that information. I have hired attorneys, accountants, and a variety of other professionals. Not once, ever, was I asked to pay for a second consultation just to get the cost for services. This seems excessive and predatory. Any client would want this information on an initial consultation so that they can make an informed decision. This process shouldn't require two paid sessions when one would have easily sufficed. One other related thing. If you type Cheeley Legal reviews online you'll see another recent negative review in late July related to his billing practices for consultations. Given this reality, I would encourage other avenues for legal guidance.
