I will admit, at first, our experience wasn't great because the restaurant was very crowded so we had to sit outside when it was cold and dark. However, we asked our server to let us know when a table opened inside, and they did, plus they helped bring all our things in, which was very appreciated. Once we were seated inside, our experience completely changed. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating, even though they were very busy. The food was delicious and the portions are a great value for the price. We ordered the crab rangoon and the Pad Thai chicken wings to share. The crab rangoon was disappointing since it arrived cold, like it had been frozen and reheated. However, the chicken wings were amazing, especially the Pad Thai sauce, which was addictive. For my entree, I ordered the Massaman curry. It was delicious and hearty, though a bit heavy. My wife ordered the duck noodle soup, which was excellent and highly recommended. The duck was tender, and the broth was light and very flavorful. Overall, we had a great experience and really enjoyed the food. I'm excited to come back. read more

This was our first visit to Tuk Tuk, and we were delighted! Gio was our server, and he was terrific. The restaurant is not large, but its cozy size gives it a friendly, neighborly atmosphere. I even asked the people sitting next to us what they had ordered because, in my experience, fellow diners often give the best recommendations. We started with the Fresh Rolls. The order included four rolls, which was plenty for us to share. They were light, refreshing, and delicious, and the peanut sauce enhanced the flavors perfectly. Next, we tried the special of the day--the Curry Puffs. We were served three puffs filled with a flavorful curry mixture wrapped in flaky puff pastry and accompanied by a sweet cucumber salad. (I wish I had asked for the recipe!) Finally, we had to try the traditional Chicken Pad Thai, and it did not disappoint. The portion was generous enough for us to share and still have leftovers to take home. The prices were very reasonable--everything we ordered came to less than $40. We will definitely be returning! I have heard about this place for a long time and wanted to try it. Showed up at 2 pm on a Monday and it was almost full, which surprised me. Our server quickly brought water to our table while we looked over the very large menus. They have a lunch menu with a handful of items and they have a regular menu. I ordered a bowl of wonton soup ($9) and chicken pad Thai. Within 5 minutes the soup AND the entree arrived. WHY? Wouldn't I want to eat my very large bowl of soup before I got my entree? The bowl was huge but only had 2 wontons! At $9, it was a total rip off. The pad Thai was way too sweet for me. I didn't even eat that much because it was just too sweet. We have been to this place obsessively since we discovered it a few weeks ago. The food is so flavorful, and we love that they bring it out right away after cooking. It is always hot and fresh. We really enjoy the Chicken Pad Thai(HOT) and the Amazing Chicken. But by far our favorite thing we've had so far is their Chicken Wings. So crispy and the Pad Thai Sauce is so good. Easily some of the best wings in South West Florida area. The Mango Sticky Rice is their seasonal item and it was amazing!! The servers are all very kind and friendly. I live in Tampa but was in Brandon for an appointment. I searched for Thai food nearby. I found Tuk Tuk and knew we had to go. My daughter and I had the drunken noodles with beef. Spring rolls. Tom Kha soup with shrimp. I also ordered the massaman curry with chicken. Everything was so fresh, delicious and very large servings. The service was quick and easy. Well I'm really disappointed on how the quality of the food and service from Tuk Tuk has gone down. We ordered shrimp fried rice ($16) and Tom Yum soup ($9) plus an additional ($3) to get rice noodles. The $16 shrimp fried rice came with 5 shrimps, 5 shrimps and a container of rice for $16! Then my Tom T soup was not that rich flavorful soup I have had from them in the past. We called the restaurant and were advised yep, you only get 5 shrimps in the shrimp fried rice. We can add some more for $3 more. No, terrible. So I will take this as its time to part my ways with Tuk Tuk. Restaurants want you to pay more but want to give you less. The red curry absolutely blew me away! This was hands-down the best red curry I've ever had at any Thai restaurant. It was served piping hot with incredible flavor. ( basil fried rice is equally great). Then salt and pepper beef dish. The only thing that's inconsistent is the heat level.
