We place a simple order. 2 beers. 2 raw rolls and 2 hand rolls. Beers come right away. 30 Minutes later we realize n food and many people have received their food, even people who arrived after us. We inquire with the nice lady and she says just a minute it's almost ready. 10 minutes later I ask the guy about our food and he says it almost ready. My wife asked for the check he says ok but it's almost ready. Well we heard that 10 minutes ago. He then tells us some of the food is ready. Well why don't you bring that to us instead of fresh fish sitting on a shelf getting warm. He then says do you want the check or the sushi. This place has a systems issue and a lack of training. Have been to this place once before when they first opened.. the sushi itself is always absolutely delicious! Presentation is phenomenal as well. The amount of fish that actually goes into the rolls is astounding. We love how small the place is and the ambiance is nice. Only issue and reason for 4 stars is the wait time for the food. My go to for good sushi and cooked entrees. I always order takeout but the location is charming and clean. The staff is always friendly. It's located in a shopping mall with plenty of parking. Ordered To Go/Pick Up and just a heads up, there was a "Gratuity Service Charge" already added to the bill. Also nice to know that it is quite crammed inside with little seating and it does get rather busy. We ordered the SUMMERFIELD, JALEPENO BOMB, and VOLANO rolls. The rolls were HUGE and priced pretty affordable. From a taste stand point - not bad, it did the job at curbing the sushi craving. We were violently craving sushi that day so we were happy to stumble upon it. Would we visit again? Only if we were in the area. Here from out of town, relaxing on my wife and I's anniversary. We came into this place a little last minute, about 25 minutes from closing. The place was super simple, very clean and they are good at getting people in and out quickly! So no one has any long waits but all got great service. They also do a ton of to go orders and they are meticulous about everything.!! Our server was very kind and helped us with the menu. Not like it was confusing. There is just so many incredible options on there. It was very hard to narrow it down. We ended up going with a few different rolls, miso soup and cucumber salad. Everything was phenomenal.
