    Pad Pad See Ew Noodles
    Thea F.

I ordered the pad see ew and the noodles were pretty tasty. The serving seemed a little small for almost $16. The tofu was pretty bland, and the dish overall had less flavor than I expected. I did order it without egg, so that probably affected it. But it hit the spot for lunch. Probably won't order this dish again, but I've had the pad Thai and that's better.

our first time at tuk-tuk! ordered to go. swimming angel $13, sweet tamarind chicken $14, crab rangoon $9, fried calamari $10. i love a good sauce but did not like how much liquid was at the bottom of my dish. disappointed with the appetizers. rangoons & calamari seemed small, calamari definitely could have been battered/fried better. we would maybe go again but would skip the apps for sure. $46 for the food + $2 cc fee + $6 taxes and fees - $55 before tip. a bit much imo but glad we tried it.

: Although I haven't dined in at Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine, I recently stopped by to grab a Thai milk tea, and it was absolutely fantastic! They offer two options, regular milk or coconut milk, and I highly recommend going for the coconut milk. It added a delightful creamy flavor to the tea. This was by far the best Thai tea I've had anywhere in Dallas! For an even more flavorful experience, I suggest asking for less ice. Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine is a must-visit for Thai tea enthusiasts looking for a memorable and delicious drink. The staffs are friendly too!

    Yellow curry (good)

I found out this restaurant replaced Khao San (which I really liked) so I decided to order delivery. As far as I could tell, the menu seemed exactly the same. Of course that's based on my memory and I have ADD, so who knows. However, it gave me the impression that some of the staff might be the same. They have a good selection of appetizers to choose from. The money bags are great and deliciously crispy. The crab rangoon is especially tasty, better than the previous restaurant here and better than I've had at most nearby restaurants. I found the tulip dumplings to be a bit greasy and overcooked, but would be willing to try them again in case it was an off batch. The BBQ Pork Fried rice was pretty decent, but I liked it better from Khao San. The rice was fine, but the pork seemed slightly undercooked which changes the texture and made it less satisfying. The yellow curry with jasmine rice was quite good, I liked it a lot and would definitely order it again. Although I noticed the rice was not jasmine rice. However, under Sides on the menu I noticed several rice options listed, so this was probably just a mix up of orders during the dinner rush. It didn't negatively impact my meal, just an observation. Overall, I found the food to be quite good, just a few execution flaws that could be the result of being new, short staffed or especially busy. No big deal. I recall this restaurant being kind of small and cramped, so I prefer delivery for now. There's a good chance they did some magic with the renovation and I would like to try out their lunch specials if I'm in the area on a weekday before 3pm, so I may find out soon.

Garlic Sauce with beef. Heat level 5. Couldn't taste any garlic or heat. Not bad but not what I was hoping for

It's pretty much the same as the place they replaced. The food is good but they absolutely refuse to make the meals spicy. I guess they're afraid someone will complain but they won't make it to your request

They have gone down hill. Pad Thai was definitely not made right. Hardly any sauce. Very little meat. Yuk yuk.

When we walked in, it was very quiet--just us and one other table. If you're looking for a calm,…read moretucked-away dinner, you'll probably love that. For me, it leaned a little too quiet, but it did make the whole experience feel slow-paced and intentional instead of rushed. The space itself is cute and thoughtfully put together, simple without trying too hard. Service matched that energy--easy and natural. We were helped by both staff members throughout the meal, and they were kind, efficient, and attentive without hovering. The vegetarian egg rolls were crispy and solid, but the real star was the house sweet & sour sauce. I'm still thinking about it. It's that good. The green bean app was another win--crispy, flavorful, and super snackable. I personally would've loved a little more sauce, but that's a small thing. The Volcano Catfish (2/5 spice) absolutely delivered. Huge portion, perfectly cooked, and everything on the plate worked together. The fried rice soaked up all the flavor and held its own. This is the dish that makes the price make sense. The Pad Thai with chicken (1/5 spice) was a sleeper hit. Once you add the lime and mix everything together, it really opens up--bright, balanced, and surprisingly good. Only note for me--the chicken wasn't my favorite. Not bad, just not my preference. I'd order it again with shrimp next time (my husband thought the chicken was good). Overall, nothing felt rushed, nothing was missed--just a really solid dinner. Would I come back? Yes. Would I come back specifically for that sauce? Immediately.

The service is always genuine and attentive, and if you ask, they'll definitely suggest plates for you depending on your style and spice level tolerance! I have eaten at enough sushi restaurants to know the formula…read more Step 1: Install bamboo. Step 2: Add a dragon. Step 3: Play mysterious flute music. Step 4: Name every roll after either a volcano, a ninja, or an apocalypse. Komodo Loco apparently looked at that formula and said, "Nah." This place has actual character. The restaurant is dark and cool without feeling like you're being interrogated. There are cozy little nooks everywhere, and somehow it manages to feel both laid-back and upscale. Like if a speakeasy and a sushi restaurant had a child who grew up with excellent taste. Then the food arrived. Look, I've had plenty of sushi. I've had good sushi. I've had "my friend won't stop talking about this sushi" sushi. Komodo Loco belongs in the last category. The fish was incredibly fresh, but what really stood out was that the rolls didn't all taste like slight variations of spicy mayo negotiating with cream cheese. The flavors were genuinely original. We ordered the Crispy Rice Bites, the T-Dub Roll, and the Horacio Roll based on our server's recommendations. The Crispy Rice Bites were so good I briefly considered ordering a second round before I had finished the first. The T-Dub Roll disappeared from the plate so quickly that I suspect it may have violated several laws of physics. The Horacio Roll was one of those dishes that makes you stop talking mid-sentence and stare into the middle distance while reconsidering every life choice that led you to not order two of them. Which brings me to our server: Breann. Or Breanna. I apologize for not knowing which one. In my defense, I was busy entering a committed relationship with sushi. My daughter is moving to Denton, and since we don't live here, we asked what we should order. Breann/Breanna immediately became the Gandalf of menu navigation. There was no hesitation. No "everything is good." No vague server diplomacy. Just confident recommendations that absolutely delivered. She was kind, funny, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. More importantly, she made my daughter feel at home in a city she's about to call home. As a dad, that meant a lot. I also loved how Komodo Loco celebrated Pride Month. Not because restaurants have to weigh in on everything, but because the atmosphere simply communicated: "Hey, you're welcome here." And honestly, that's one of the best things a restaurant can do. Good food fills your stomach. A welcoming place fills the room. Komodo Loco managed to do both. So yes, I'll be back every time I'm in Denton. My daughter thinks she's moving here for school. I think she's moving here so I'll have an excuse to eat at Komodo Loco several times a year. One of us is probably right.

It wasn't very busy at the time, but our drinks still took about ten minutes to arrive. We started with potstickers, which were delicious, and our little one's avocado came out quickly, which we appreciated. However, after placing our order, we noticed several tables seated after us receiving their food before we did. At one point, we were concerned our order may have been overlooked. When the food finally arrived, it was very good--no complaints there--but the wait was a bit disappointing, especially since most of what we ordered were appetizers. Overall, we'd still come back, just hoping for a smoother experience next time.
