I ordered the pad see ew and the noodles were pretty tasty. The serving seemed a little small for almost $16. The tofu was pretty bland, and the dish overall had less flavor than I expected. The food was very good. Just a heads up. We ordered 2 Pad See Ew for vegetarians. We chose Tofu. My granddaughter is 11 and has never eaten meat but had eaten half. My daughter questioned an ingredient in their dish. After sending a picture to the restaurant, it was confirmed to be chicken which, obviously, is not acceptable. We got a refund. Full disclosure: I rate Thai restaurants based on their Tom Kha. Tuk-Tuk has the best Tim Kha in Denton, and I believe I've tried them all. The Pad Woon Sen is consistently good, too. Service can be a little slow, depending on how busy they are, but in my opinion, it's worth the wait. read more

The crab rangoon was delicious. The shrimp fresh rolls would have been good if there was more than a nibble of shrimp on top- i'd say there was maybe a total of 3 shrimp cut into tiny pieces on top. The wings were nice and crispy but needed some sort of sauce with them. The seafood panang curry was pretty good but it felt like something was missing and unfortunately most of the seafood was overcooked. we chose the seafood version because it listed fried fish would be included but there was actually no fried fish to be found. The server (Malena I think?) was great! Despite the fact that they were clearly drowning in to go orders and she was the only only front of house worker besides the kid she was training, she remained so polite and pushed through to take care of everything herself. The owners need to hire more workers or go up and work themselves, there's absolutely no reason one person should be left to run the expo, dine in AND to go orders while trying to train someone on their first day. They offer two options, regular milk or coconut milk, and I highly recommend going for the coconut milk. It added a delightful creamy flavor to the tea. This was by far the best Thai tea I've had anywhere in Dallas! For an even more flavorful experience, I suggest asking for less ice. You will not find better Thai in Denton. The restaurant is immaculate and the food is so good it's indescribable. Not only is it affordable but the portions are very large for the price point. I found out this restaurant replaced Khao San (which I really liked) so I decided to order delivery. As far as I could tell, the menu seemed exactly the same. Of course that's based on my memory and I have ADD, so who knows. However, it gave me the impression that some of the staff might be the same. They have a good selection of appetizers to choose from. The money bags are great and deliciously crispy. The crab rangoon is especially tasty, better than the previous restaurant here and better than I've had at most nearby restaurants. I found the tulip dumplings to be a bit greasy and overcooked, but would be willing to try them again in case it was an off batch. The BBQ Pork Fried rice was pretty decent, but I liked it better from Khao San. The rice was fine, but the pork seemed slightly undercooked which changes the texture and made it less satisfying. The yellow curry with jasmine rice was quite good, I liked it a lot and would definitely order it again. Although I noticed the rice was not jasmine rice. However, under Sides on the menu I noticed several rice options listed, so this was probably just a mix up of orders during the dinner rush. It didn't negatively impact my meal, just an observation. Overall, I found the food to be quite good, just a few execution flaws that could be the result of being new, short staffed or especially busy. No big deal. I recall this restaurant being kind of small and cramped, so I prefer delivery for now. There's a good chance they did some magic with the renovation and I would like to try out their lunch specials if I'm in the area on a weekday before 3pm, so I may find out soon. read more

My bout friend and I went and the food was amazing! . For the appetizer we got calamari and the sauce was pretty spicy but it tasted very good.We got level 3 spice Massaman curry and it was so good, I would go for a 4 or 5 next time since I like spicy. We got free waters upon arriving and we ordered Dr peppers. We got a refill on both and just those came out to 15.99... $3.99 per drink and no free refills, they were more expensive than the curry! We did come in about hour before closing mistakenly. But the staff were very nice about it! The place did smell bad, and I'm not talking about weird food smells, it's was body odor. Last time I order from here. The dinner I got last night was probably the worst food ever. I ordered the Thai Garden with tofu. What was more like Thai compost heap with watery black pepper "sauce". No zucchini was anywhere to be found, they tossed in old mushrooms, clearly should have been tossed out, they were pitted and very dark. 2 snow bras and 2 small pieces of broccoli with limp carrot slices and watery onions. There are never any customers in the restaurant which should be a warning sign, but in the past I've had alright food here so I came back today. Its not my favorite Thai place in Denton, but it usually delivers on average food. Today was a different story. I looked over the menu to place a to-go order and one of the staff answers a few questions for me. She takes my card without even telling me how much the order is. A few minutes later she comes back with a box of flavorless rice with absolutely no seasoning or spice on it and bowl of piping hot soup that most likely came from a microwave. As Gordon Ramsey always says, "nothing is this hot that didn't come from a microwave." Almost any other establishment will provide dipping sauce with rangoons. Not this place. $1.50 for hardly any sweet and sour. $3.00 for twice as much... you ever been to a Chinese restaurant? They will give you a tub of this sauce for free!! This sauce costs close to nothing, and you're charging DOLLARS for DROPS. Insanity. Please fix this. Food is just over seasoned. I ordered the red curry and it needed another 1/2 or so of coconut milk to balance it out. It was so strong. They should go try the red curry from Thai Square to have a better idea. The pad Thai was also overly seasoned. It tasted like it was sweetened with some type of molasses instead of tamarind. I asked for a level 2 in heat and it was way hotter than that. The level 1 on the pad Thai was a at too hot too. Overall the place is clean and nice but those two dishes were just overly seasoned unfortunately. read more
