The staff is so kind and helpful and we were easily able to extend our stay until repairs could be handled. Bathrooms clean, plenty of shade trees, quite open space. Options for cabins to stay in, RVs, and tents. Beware of COWS! They are on the side of the county road that leads here and sometimes decide to be on the road. Drive slow in the dark for sure!

The kids really enjoyed the playground (but be warned, they will come back extra dirty- yay for the showers). We only have a truck camper that has a battery with solar, but still booked a site with full electric just in case we needed an extra charge (we did use electricity for our air fryer though). One downside to me was not having a camp fire ring or a table (luckily we had our own, but we don't always take one)... but it wasn't a deal breaker. Pamela was very friendly, and when we came to the on site store for something we ran out of, unfortunately it wasn't available in the store, she did however get us what we needed from her personal house. Thank you again. If we are ever in that area we'd definitely come back.

You can clearly hear the birds and chipmunks, and the atmosphere is really peaceful. The resort itself is cleverly designed and very well maintained. It has a double ring road design, which means every single site is a convenient pull-through site. The bathrooms are incredibly clean, and the showers look really nice too. There is a nice deck with a fire pit near the restrooms, and there is a gorgeous grass field in the center of the resort. Each campsite has a nice tree, providing ample shade. The resort is also very walkable, with different hiking and biking trails to explore. My family will definitely be camping here again!

I love the sand garden for kids to play with in the front. Theres also horseshoe and tether all. The beer garden looks beautiful as well. Sadly we did not get to enjoy some of these perks as our schedule was a little packed. Next time I hope we can try it out. The walking paths of different colors was a fun treat for my kids. They kept wanting to find the art pieces all around. We did the purple, pink, turquoise, yellow and rainbow trail. Next time I'd like to venture to the other side and try out red and finish yellow. The viewpoints/lookout area is magical as well. The places we wanted to visit this trip were all around 30 min to an hour away from the park. Not bad but not too close. That's the price you pay to be in an area surrounded by the woods and beautiful blue skies. Every camper was friendly and waved as you walked. If you have not been here and are undecided just do it! It will be a truly wonderful experience. I think I'd like to go back when my kids are older. I'd prefer to get the chance to read next to the fire here. Not something I could do with my kids now lol ... If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

We were a bit worried by the road there (lots of fair sized holes) and the weather (California was experiencing a bad heat wave, and it was 105 here), and considered only staying one of our two nights. So so glad we stayed both nights. The wild horses were hanging out the whole time, and much of it in front of our trailer. I'm sure the heat drove them down to the river and tasty lawn. We also saw the blue heron, bats, and two river otters! Baby bird above the men's bathroom. Lots to see and enjoy. This place is pristine and quiet. We'd just come from a gross Thousand Trails and a loud state park. Coming here with the clean (and air conditioned!!) bathrooms and showers was lovely. The hosts were so nice. And it just felt quiet and relaxing, only punctuated by territorial stallions making a fuss. Nice additions are the giant shaded area with picnics tables and Adirondack chairs to hang out in- our space didn't have a tree so the shaded option was much appreciated. This is a way away from us, but we hope to come back and spend more time here. Also- shoutout to the hosts who spend a lot of time cleaning up horse poop to keep the roads clean for us!
