My 2013 VW Beetle Convertible had what looked like a serious window leak during a massive rainstorm and on top of that my brake light was out. The dealership couldn't even see me until Thursday! (Today is Monday). Grayson got me in today. He and his master mechanic Tommy personally took a hose to my car to diagnose the leak with no runaround. As it turns out, it wasn't the catastrophic leak I feared. At the same time, Tommy replaced my brake light quickly and efficiently. And, Grayson took great care of me- without a doubt amazing and straight up outstanding customer service. All my problems are resolved. Whew!!!! The vehicle remained at the shop for over a year, and throughout that time we were repeatedly told that repairs were being completed. When the vehicle was finally returned to us, it continued to have the same issues it had when it was originally dropped off. We recently sought an independent inspection from a certified Mini Cooper technician and were informed that many of the repairs we paid for do not appear to have been performed. According to the technician, the vehicle remains in substantially the same condition as before. We have attempted to resolve this matter directly with the shop but have not received a satisfactory explanation or resolution. Complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's Office. I am sharing this because I wish someone had warned us. If you are considering major repairs on your vehicle, I strongly encourage you to obtain detailed documentation, ask for old parts to be returned, and consider getting a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs. As it turns out Milstead is a much better equipped body shop because they had the technicians and equipment on hand and did not need to hire anyone out to do recalibrations for the sensors on my bumper which that alone saved me $400-600. I called for an appointment at Byrd and brought my truck in this morning. I ask for a front and rear brake job, to rotate my tires and perform an all wheel alignment and to check the rear tire for a slow leak. These folks are true professionals. They informed me that I had 40% and 60% of my front and rear brakes pads remaining, (the truck has 82K mikes on it) and therefore I did not need brakes at this time. They rotated the tires and put the truck on the alignment machine. They told me no alignment adjustment was required. I expected to pay for the hours of work that was done to check my vehicle. I got the bill and was surprised that $0.00 amount was due. I actually challenged Tim and said i needed to pay something. He said no all they had done was a complimentary inspection. I appreciate honesty. when they could have followed my directions and replaced all the brakes and on top of that charged me for an alignment. Wow ...they are some honest folks. Joe understood the problem the moment I explained it. Though he never promised anything, he seemed confident he could fix it. The trouble was diagnosed and repaired perfectly the first time, on time and under estimate. Also, Joe spent at least an hour with the good-for-nothing warranty (Endurance) trying to get it covered. Though the contract clearly includes hubs as "covered", Endurance refused to cover it. Today I am recommending Sullivan's and especially Joe. Tomorrow, I am cancelling Endurance.
