Tulum Tacos & Tequila has finally opened in Brockton in late October 2025. Located in the former Nagoya space at Massasoit Plaza, this full service restaurant and bar serves up Mexican fare including a selection of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas, salads, nachos, burgers, chicken dishes, carne asada, and desserts. The bar offers 5 beers on draft, bottled beers, sangria, margaritas, tequila, and cocktails. The place has a cozy dining room with tables and booths to the right and the lounge with full service bar with seating & flatscreen TVs and booth seating. I stopped by Tulum recently to watch some Sunday football. I headed to the bar to sit in front of the TVs. The game nearby was showing on the TVs and almost done and my game was coming up. I was given a food menu and requested an ice water. I was given complementary warm & crunchy chips & medium salsa. For an entree, the Grilled Steak Fajita Chimichanga ($17.19 plus tax) served with Mexican rice, charro beans, guacamole, sour cream, & lettuce, The very hot big plate came out in 14 minutes after ordering. The fried chimichanga was filled with tender grilled steak strips, peppers, & onions, topped with cheese sauce & pico de gallo. The beans were topped with cheese and very soft and the rice was cooked right and not mushy. I requested a box for some of the chimichanga. For dessert, the Fried Ice Cream ($5.99 plus tax) was a comprised of a hard scoop vanilla ice cream coated with crispy corn flakes & caramel sauce, caramel & chocolate drizzle and whipped cream on the side. The check with Toast QR code was presented, which came out to $24.79 with tax. The food here was excellent, the service was attentive at the bar and I enjoyed watching the first half of my game on the TVs at the same time. This place just opened recently. I must say so far so good. Service and food were good along with the drinks! Definitely will be coming back to try other dishes! I ordered the enchilada tulum, it was supposed to be the dinner plate. They didn't give me rice and beans. We also were not offered chips and salsa. My son was very happy with his tacos, but I for one will not go back and I don't really understand the high rating. The place was clean the servers replied. Bored at home today. Hubby and I went out for a late lunch at a new spot in Brockton over by Massasoit Community College called Tulum Tacos and Tequila. Great new spot.. Leonel was our server and he was terrific. A smile from ear to ear. So helpful and accommodating.. chips and house salsa are both delicious. They have a house Margarita. Its 24 ounce. Rocks. $7. This is the bargain of the century. And it was so good. And yes I drank it all. Another round of chips. we both ordered Tacos. Dave got chicken with rice and refried beans which isn't surprising and I with the recommendation from Leonel of the Birria tacos. I got three planning to just eat one and bring the rest home. Which I did They come with a consommé for dipping. All new for me. And oh my. Succulent is the only word I had. So so delicious. I had to have the flan. I am a flan freak. It was sweet and rich and velvety and perfect. We also ordered some chicken fajita quesadillas to also bring home for the boys, along with the leftover birria tacos. We all agreed this spot was an A plus. I would have loved to try to the table side guacamole but my date isnt the guy for that But I bet it's great. Tulum is a wonderful choice for Mexican cuisine and a new business in Brockton that needs support so it will thrive and I can get back there for that super large Marg and those birria tacos. Great food and drinks! Wait staff outstanding will return!!! Had the chicken tacos and steak quesadillas

Though the food is good the service has already taken a nosedive. The last 3 times I have visited the restaurant which has been in the last 2 weeks I have had problems with service on each visit. The first time we ordered 3 meals and only 2 came out as we waited to see if the 3rd was coming I had to call over the waitress and ask her where it was. She had not put my meal in even though I had given her my order first. By the time it came the party I was with was almost done eating. No the restaurant was not busy. The second time we ordered 3 appetizers. Only 2 came out and I once again had to ask where the other item was but this time she went right to the kitchen and it was brought out in a few minutes. We were the only party in the restaurant other then one person at the bar. The third event I ordered the same 3 appetizers and received only 2 once again. The manager brought the food to the table and I told him we were still waiting on one which this visit never came but was on the bill. Was busier this visit but no excuse. When I confronted the manager he acted as if he had never seen me though he brought the food to our table and he told us they are still working things out. When you get it worked out and running as it should maybe that is when I will visit Tulum again. read more
