We have mixed feelings about this place, but it's worth a mention. Mineiros is a Brazilian Steakhouse. We first tried it back in 2022, and it was absolutely delicious! They have the option of all you can eat and they come around and offer all different meats cooked and cut fresh. We dined here a couple more times and loved it so much we had a friends anniversary dinner there a couple years later. Drinks were great and food was also good. It felt intimate and unique. We recently went again after a couple years and they expanded the restaurant, with a lot more seats. Unfortunately, they no longer offer alcohol (or at least not at the moment). This time we both just order a meal and not the all you can eat, and the food was... ok. I'm hoping it was just a one off and that they bounce back to the amazingness from before (really, we would rave about this place to people!) One plus is they have a buffet you can make a to go plate and pick your meat. While it is pricey per pound, it's better than other take out places. The sides change everyday, so it's always a surprise of what they will have. All that to say, we are up in the air about this place.. we are currently not recommending you run there, but we hope they get back to what we loved before, and then it would be worth a try. read more

We stopped here for dinner and truly enjoyed our experience. It was a quiet evening with only one other diner, and service was very quick and extremely friendly. The server working the grill area was quick to bring over a huge selection of grilled meats - there were tons to choose from and each had delicious seasonings. The food just kept coming and we were so stuffed! The buffet of sides and salads was delicious, and dinner ended with grilled pineapple which is always one of my favorites. The service was extremely poor and the restaurant was very disorganized. We asked for a table for 6, and they gave us two cramped tables with extra chairs awkwardly placed around them. We only saw a server twice during our entire stay, and the drinks we ordered as soon as we arrived never came. We ended up eating without anything to drink. The food was also disappointing -- completely bland and lacking flavor. To make things worse, there was no rice available at the buffet during lunch, and we had to wait for it to be refilled. Running out of food at lunch time is unacceptable. One of the staff members was also extremely rude, and no one made any effort to improve the situation or show any concern. I came here not on the rush hours, around 4-5PM. Restaurant was empty and I was their only customer. The place was huge. I think they took 3 spaces on that complex. I ordered their rodizio menu with chicken heart as appetizer. They have variety of meat choice here, sirloin caps, sirloin tops, chicken wrapped with bacon, short ribs, lamb, spicy Brazilian sausage (calabresa), and brisket you name it!! Came on an off night, we hope, but most recent experience was rough. Waitress didn't speak English, so communication was very difficult. Here is the worst part: My family's total was $92, and the system automatically applied a gratuity tip and then added the sales tax which took our total to $120!!!! Definitely a hidden gem in Rockland. Decided to stop by on a whim for lunch and I can definitely say Mineiros did not disappoint. We ended up selecting the price Per Person instead of weighing our plates which was $32 and I believe weighing the plates cost about $12-13 per lb. The atmosphere was nice when you walk in. However, the food itself will not bring me back. We sat down and ordered and the food took nearly 30 minutes to come out. We also saw portions of the dish being taken from the buffet section. I ordered the sizzling ribeye and it came out on a regular plate just barely warm and extremely chewy. My mom ordered the bourbon steak and hers was chewy and very sweet as well. Neither of us were asked how we wanted our meats cooked upon ordering. There were also some big concerns with the billing. When we got our check, we noticed that there was a 7% sales tax on the bill and a 20% gratuity already added (there were only two of us). Then, when we paid and received the receipt, there was another line for tip to add onto the bill. There is an extremely high probability that I will not be going back here. We went here for my birthday on a Wednesday night. The place is small and dark. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did the all u can eat Brazilian BBQ for $29.99. There were two stations for sides items like sweet potatoes, beans , salad , rice, fried plantains, and more. The meats came to our table at a reasonable pace. The staff explained what it was and cut as much slice that we wanted. They came over to our tables with towers of delicious meats like Bone in Ribs, Brisket, Garlic Sirloin, Chicken Beast wrapped with bacon, Grilled Pineapple, Lamb, Top Sirloin, Spicy Pork Sausage, Bourbon Steak tips and Sirloin Cap. I had a bad experience although I know others have not. I suggest being careful reading your bill as they will include a tip amount to the total even if you have less than 3 people in your party. The food was good, the staff was friendly and efficient, the place is clean but I hate to say: asking the waitress for the check was unforgiving and unforgettable. Nothing against paying well for good food and good service but $6.50 for Lemonade? I didn't see that one coming, I guess it's my fault for not checking the price on the menu. My kids didn't get the bbq but I still got charged for it, plus 20% enforced tip. This little gem on the South Shore made me feel as if I was visiting Brazil all over again. Hidden in Rockland you could easily pass it by but definitely don't judge the exterior as once inside the decor and the smells from the kitchen will win you over. The two sisters who run it are from a wonderful part of Brazil and they've brought their little slice of Heaven with them. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and their restaurant is impressively clean and well decorated. The food is off the charts from the pão de queijo (cheesy bread) to the caparinha (Brazilian Margarita) and especially their meats. My first time going to MINEIROS and it would not be our last. We had their rodizio menu which is a table served by skillful servers. The highlight of the day was the meats of course. The meats at MINEIROS are not as salty as in other Brazilian places but they were by far the tastier. When you go to most places they are either saltier or full of garlic not here. The taste was well balanced and cooked beautifully. The sides were good fresh and carefully prepared. Downside no Fruits or any desert on their salad bar. I think they should have them available. It's a small thing since you don't go to a Brazilian Steakhouse to eat fruits but it's always good to have them after such a heavy meal. Friday night my mother and I ate at Mineiros for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Unlike other Brazilian Steakhouses in the area, Mineiros is very reasonably priced and you can choose between "all you can eat" or just paying by the weight of your plate. We opted for the latter, piled our plates high, and still paid less than $30 total for the whole bill. We tried a little bit of everything and we loved it all. The service was impeccable as well.
