Wish l could leave an actual review y'all. This is the second chance l've given this location. Just walked out without an order being taken of given the opportunity to order... Walked in, 4:10pm to order to go, no one at the to go bar. About 3 employees walking back and forth. Only one serving a table said "Someone will be with you.." Stood and waited, watched one employee on a cell call duck and walk away, second employee walk to the curbside orders table, look at us, look at the bag and receipt, look at us and walk away. Mind you.. no one was rude, no one sassy or anything. I got nothing, no acknowledgement (aside the only server who said someone would help) Zip, nothing, nada. Now, remember, wasn't busy - no line in the drivethru possibly 3 cars waiting outside, one guy at the bar and maybe 4 tables occupied. So, many minutes later decided to call it a day. After years in hospitality, the only ones to blame are not the young inexperienced staff they have to hire. It's the owners and management - of which were nowhere to be seen. Everyone is struggling right now, but some places are doing a good job with what they have - others rely on their "buzz", this only gets you so far. To the owners and management, coming to your place twice, not busy, spins needed, training needed etc. This break in service is not on these kids but you. I had been to the Tumble22 off Burnet in the past, but couldn't remember how it was. So I thought I'd try it out again since I was in the Cedar Park area. Kudos: This location has a drive thru, which not all of them have, so that's a nice feature. I got an order of deviled eggs. They were okay. Your standard mayo & mustard addition. Nothing to write home about. Wouldn't get them again. The mac and cheese was unimpressive as well. Decent cheese ratio, but I've had better. But to be expected from fast food. I got an order of the chicken bites with ranch, and comeback sauce. The comeback sauce was decent and the ranch was a little on the sweeter side. Not my favorite dips. The chicken, however, was the best part of the experience. If you're going to go to a chicken place, then you hope they do well with their signature item, and they did. I got the wimpy flavor because I'm a baby when it comes to heat, which gave me an opportunity to really taste the chicken. It had a great crunch and was very juicy. Cole slaw is solid too, and I'm no cole slaw fanatic. Potato salad was just ok for us. Heat reviews based on the bone in option. Tender or bites might be easier to tolerate the heat. YMMV. Dang hot is about where heat heads should stay. Hot but enjoyable. Cluck'n hot is a notch above. After 2 pieces it's; ok this is warm. Stupid hot is OMFG what did I do? First off the food is always good. I always love getting the hot chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and the buttermilk pie! The ETA times & customer service is getting worse.... Literally ordered tonight for dinner & the ETA said 30 mins. Okay that's fine and totally normal. Get there & we went to curbside parking & it's taking over 5 minutes for someone to come out so like a normal person I go inside instead. The curbside guy literally stares me down and doesn't say anything to me when I'm clearly standing there waiting for assistance. And then proceeds to take my order and walk outside to my car.... And then I walk after him & he runs off while saying sorry. Dude? When I get home, the food is completely cold even though I got there at the time that was assigned to me. Had Tumble 22 for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing! not only was the food amazing, but the service was top notch. 100% recommend On top of all of this they found out it was my first time there. and the manager made a point to come great me as a first time customer and also provided me a $5 off coupon for my next visit. Good chicken sandwich to get but ordering online experience is HORRIBLE. I give it three stars mostly because this will be the second time we ordered online and had a bad experience. First off the site sometimes works, sometimes does not. So you don't know if it went through or not. You cannot call in an order which is ridiculous. Now the food, we went to pick it up and the fries were just thrown in the bag in its holder but not in a separate container. The sandwich and fries were COLD and we had to heat it up in the microwave, grant you we were there to pick up early. Not a bad sandwich to get and I am sure it is much better if it's not COLD! @Hunter.T not sure where to message you at but here is what we ordered. 2 chicken sandwiches one hot, one the next level hot and an order of fries. So...we've been running around town searching for the best fried chicken and fried chicken sandwich. This weekend's teat spot was Tumble and my first ever visit. I was surprised to see both 1 a drive thru, 2 a hostess, and 3 beer/wine/cocktails We ordered the chicken club salad with a side of fries and the mixed chicken plate with collard greens and mac-n-cheese. The full salad had 2 whole pieces of chicken making way too much for me alone but nice to share. Luckily they offer this in a half size. The mixed plate came out with 5 or 6 pieces with the 2 sides...again, way too much for one person in my opinion. But this is a great place to go to share. The batter was light and perfectly extra crunchy. We order the Mo' Hot because we have a decent tolerance to heat. It was a great level for us, however...it overpowered any other seasoning that might have been added. I will definitely go with one level down next time in hopes that it will provide more flavor. The collard greens side portion was also enough to share. So juicy with bits of bacon throughout The mac-n-cheese had a tasty layer of real cheese sauce on top which made it one of the best around town. Side of fries was enough for the table. Super thin with crunchy batter and nicely salted. Unfortunately we were just way too stuffed to try one of the 4 pies. But we'll be back!! First of all I've been here several times and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the flavor of the bone in chicken. Most of the time I get it to go via the drive through. I did the drive through today and the service was excellent. Once I got home the chicken was inexcusably overcooked. Normally the breasts are big and juicy but this time small and way too crunchy with very little meat on it. The wing was the same way. On top of that I requested catchup and he guaranteed it would be in the bag...it wasn't. I truly expect more quality control on pieces that leave the kitchen. Food is good, service and wait time is ridiculous. Placed an online order to be picked up at 4:45p. Arrive and told to park and wait. Waited till 5:10p and decided to walk in to tell them we wanted a refund because we have kids and can't keep waiting. The cashier asks for our name and walks over to a table that our food is sitting on and hands it to us. No apology. No excuse for why it's been sitting there waiting. Nothing. If it wasn't for the kids being hungry and already waiting I would not have taken it, but I wasn't going to make them continue to wait to eat because of this places poor service. My advice, don't order online, it doesn't seem to matter. It wasn't the first time we had to wait, but it was the first time that it was over 20 minutes. The food isn't good enough to have to wait like that after already setting up a pick up time. If they continue to have bad service and ridiculous long wait times, they won't last. Doubt I'll go back. Overrated. That's unfortunately the word that sums up my thoughts about this food. I had greatly been anticipating trying it and I'm fairly disappointed. I got the tenders in mo' hot with fries, ranch and sweat tea. The quality of the white chicken itself is very good. No weird bites. The tenders kind of remind me of Pluckers. Unfortunately, the taste was confusing. Maybe I'm not into the hint of sweet thing. I think I would've enjoyed it much more if the heat was evenly spread on the sauce? Some bites tasted pretty sweet, then I'd randomly get a piece with heat. I'd like both in every bite. I saw reviews saying the fries were good and I didn't care for them. I never understood super skinny fries. They were fine but more annoying then anything. ‍ The ranch seems homemade and was pretty good. Sweet tea was solid. Before dinning at tumble 22 today for the first time, I went online to view their menu and found Family pack 6 pieces bone in with the option to choose all dark meat and 1 side would be the perfect option for my husband and I tonight. We dined in around 6pm, the restaurant wasn't busy. Our waiter seated us quickly and took our order. I told her I wanted the 6 pieces bone in all dark meat. I asked her what I will get since I'm requesting all dark meat? The waiter said she has to go back to the kitchen and check. She came back and told me 3 white and 3 legs. I told her I asked for all dark meat. She said "no, I already put in the order" I mentioned that I checked online menu and you can request the kind of meat you want. She said "no". She was extremely unfriendly After 5 minutes, we got our food. What we got was 2 wings, 2 legs, 2 breast. The waiter didn't give us plates. We had to ask for it. She also did not even ask us what kind of sauce we want at the time or order. Our total was $23. If all my husband I ate was 2 wings, 2 legs, small French fries and paid $23 this is definitely not worth it. We tried to eat the breast but couldn't, definitely very dry and salty. we are definitely disappointed the way our waiter treated us. My wife, son, and I have been here a number of times and always walk away happy and satisfied. I bounce back and forth between the OG Chicken Sandwich or traditional chicken pieces and always opt for "Dang Hot." It's got a great consistent spice that lingers a bit but isn't a turn off. My wife always goes with the chicken tenders: "Stupid Hot." Stupid Hot is their highest heat level and there are times where I can manage that heat; however, there have been a couple times where it's been unbearable. On at least 2 occasions it was downright unpleasant to eat......but, you get what you ask for - so I'm certainly not faulting them for that...in fact, my wife loves it as hot as they can make it. While I prefer traditional "Nashville Hot Chicken" from Hattie B's or Prince's - Tumble 22 is the best I've found in Austin - period. It's always really good. The Fries are pretty solid and I'd recommend adding the beer cheese or take it a step further and go with the dirty fries (fries topped with beer cheese and fried chicken pieces). The pies are fine too.....nothing outstanding but, I'm not much of a pie person anyway, so take that for what it's worth. Oh - the service here has always been awesome.......we'll keep coming back. read more

I finally made it to this location after intending to go for months. I have been to the Burnett location, so I knew what to expect. I placed a to-go order in the drive through and had to park and wait while my order was being prepared. Before I get to the food, let's discuss the drive-through--I am not sure what is going on with the drive though as there are orange traffic cones that direct traffic in the opposite direction of the way the drive through was intended to flow. A gentleman driving the 'right' way almost clipped me as I was going through the modified conned drive through. After making it through the Mario Andretti style drive through to place my order, I waited in my car for about 5 minutes at a marked parking stall for my food. The chicken was crispy and juicy and was a fan favorite with the kiddos. The slaw was okay, but the collards made me sad as they were tasteless. However, I can forgive that as its not a collard's joint. If you are looking for great fried chicken, this is your spot. read more

So I have eaten at multiple locations a few times and working my way up the spice ladder. Last week I did bone-in chicken at Stupid Hot and it was perfect, but it was at a different location. This last weekend I decided to get the cob salad with stupid hot chicken bites at this location. For some reason the chicken this time was way more hot than the last stupid hot I had and I could not eat more than two pieces of chicken. The salad was great. My feeling is that the spice is much hotter on a chicken bite than a whole bone-in piece of chicken so I do not put this on the restaurant. For now on, I will tone down the spice when I get a salad. Today was my first time at this location and I'm sure that my experience would've been different if I would've dined in, but since it was during my lunch break, I decided to order curbside. The online ordering process was easy and I had my pick up time for 12:45pm. I arrived to the location and the first thing that caused some frustration was that they had a sign that said "veer left for curbside" and "veer right for drive through." Now I went to the left and I did not see any kind of sign saying curbside but I saw some numbered signs and was pulling in until I saw that the signs said "parking for drive-through only." At this point, I'm super confused so I decided to call their restaurant and then their automatic response told me to park in a numbered spot and text a phone number. I texted said phone number and looked at the confirmation email I received to confirm what I needed to do to check in and it said to check in on the website. I did both and as I was waiting, I noticed that my food wasn't coming out and other people that had arrived after me were getting their orders. At this point it's past 1pm and I was starting to be a bit frustrated because I was on my lunch break and I was starting to run out of time to eat. I called the restaurant to speak to a team member and at the same time, someone from the restaurant noticed I had been waiting for a long time and had checked in on me (which I really appreciated). He did let me know that I could've gone through the drive through to pick up my order but I wasn't aware of this option. Finally, I was able to get my food. I had ordered a 2pc Dark combo, with broccoli salad and collard greens and the szechuan fries. The fries were disappointing- probably because they had been sitting. The chicken was pretty good. I got the hot flavor and it was a bit spicy but not too much. It was juicy and not dry at all. And as for the sides, I liked the broccoli salad but I probably won't get the collard greens again. Overall, my experience was okay. Again, I feel like if I dined inside, my experience would've been a bit better, but I felt like the restaurant could've been a lot more clear about pick up instructions and if the process is to text a phone number to receive your order, that should be on the confirmation email that you receive. read more

He looked me in the eye and said "no, it's fresh". our definitions of "fresh" apparently don't match. When I sent a complaint in through their website, I got zero response from the company...so I guess they're cool with the amount of chicken they sell and don't need my money or opinion. I was willing to let that go and continue to buy their $20 family chicken picnic basket every other week. but now that is no longer offered, and I'm not really willing to buy $50+ worth of fried chicken. We went for lunch on Sunday and ordered a regular OG sandwich while the other person ordered a large OG sandwich. You could not tell the difference AT ALL. For a $4 difference you would hope so. When checking with the manager, Lisa, to ensure the order was correct she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Took one of the sandwiches that was supposed to be a large back to the cooks- I guess confirmed it was correct- and brought the same sandwich back. Just dropped it off, and walked away. I have never see a manager have no interpersonal skills, and so unapologetic. Nothing was resolved and left us a huge bad taste in our mouth to ever come back. Ordered a bulk order online with names on each order as to not confuse when we got our food. I called as a courtesy to the restaurant and asked if they would please write the name in the "Special Notes" section of each order on the specific item. I was very rudely told that it is not possible, and they are far too busy between online orders and drive thru to accommodate that request. I don't feel like that is a difficult or extraneous request for a large group food order. Anyway, the food was pretty good, although we were missing a few items and had to order additional food from a 2nd service to get food for all of my staff members. Ultimately the service was just very disappointing. We'll go somewhere else when we need a bulk food order in the future. read more

Tumble 22 is incredible. I have been to the cedar park location several times now. The food and drinks are awesome and the service is always great. I really like the big Larry (blood orange margarita with a grand mariner floater). Never fails! I tried the peachy keen on my last visit which is a seasonal chicken sandwich. INCREDIBLE! The broccoli salad is also very good. I've never had anything I didn't like here. The sechuan fries and the dirty fries are also extremely good! Last but not least the peanut butter chocolate mousse pie is delicious. I highly recommend trying this spot! You won't be disappointed. read more
