To the untrained eye, a tumi product is just another travel bag. To the people who know, it's by far one of the most superior bags money can buy. Yes there are cheaper bags out there, but none holds their value better than a Tumi bag. It's not just functionality and design that you pay for. Any of the cheaper products that are in the market can do that. What you're really paying for is warranty. Yes, when you're shelling out that much money for a rollaboard or for anything in particular, you should always talk warranty. We bought a blue rollaboard with the 360° wheel feature. Another cool feature that comes with the price is the whole Monogram thing. They'll personalize your bag right on the spot. Then they'll even register your bag under your name in case you lose it, the bag will always find its way back to you. Thanks to their Tumi registration database, your own bag is your own bag for real. Anyway, that store is really nice. Everything is neatly arranged and displayed. The associates are very helpful, and they're more than happy to show you why you should choose Tumi. I enjoyed shopping here, and will come shop here again when we're in the need for more travel stuff. read more

This store is going out of business and has a decent sale going. I stopped by and wasn't even acknowledged. The salesperson addressed another airline employee I and heard her mention the additional discount. Went back by and she still didn't speak. She stood outside the store as if I wasn't there. Not sure why people work with the public as if all dollars aren't green. read more

The manager and staff at this Tumi store are always extremely friendly and helpful. I have been a customer for several years and have yet to have a bad experience. Many times I'm not even in to make a purchase, but instead add or change a monogram, and always get attentive professional help. In instances where they could have fallen back on a policy for refusing a repair or part I lost, they never have. I appreciate their real ness when describing products and always making sure I get exactly what I need and nothing extra. No pressure salesman, just good people with a lot of knowledge in here. They have never been anything short of above and beyond and that is the reason I keep coming back. read more

Ouch!!! You go to Tumi because you want superior quality. You buy it at the Tumi Somerset store because you feel you will be taken care of both before and after the sale. Don't be fooled!!! They are there to take your money but stand only behind there "POLICIES" not their PRODUCTS. Spent thousands there and was treated like street trash when the item I bought failed on it first use. Not a customer in sight in the store... to the snarky store manager , I'd get my resume tuned up. read more

Bad service, bad sales people. Drove 45 minutes to order a backpack that I was told was available (they would have to order it but I had to come to the store to pay for it) only to arrive and be told that it wasn't available. Then they show me other colors in the same item. I knew what I wanted . I didn't need to drive 45 minutes there and 45 minutes back only to be told they couldn't get the bag I wanted. When I asked for the number to Customer Service they gave me the wrong number! I had to go back in the shop and get the correct number. Not from the sales people but from the Tumi app on the computer on the counter and then I had to go behind the counter to get one of the sales cards (because they never gave me their names). Phew. Avoid this place. Easier to find a Tumi Vendor and order from them. read more

I bought a Tumi Gen 2 carry on four years ago. I love this bag. I am a business traveler and I've checked this on roughly 100 - 200 and carried on on about 100 flights. Over time, the luggage tag ripped off, the pull handle was delaminating, and the handle broke. I started a claim in December of 2018 of but didn't think Tumi would fix it, didn't want to deal with the hassle, and didn't want to go without the bag for 5 weeks (Tumi's stated max duration for warranty repairs). A year later the wheel bearings started to go so the bag became unusable, so I went in to the Tumi at Somerset Mall. Because I already started the claim and never followed through the salesperson who helped me had to jump through hoops to clear the issue. It took her at least 20 minutes to manually get the claim corrected. I wish I could remember the salesrep's name because she was amazing. I didn't even buy the bag at this location. The bag was sent for repairs and returned in 2-3 weeks and it looks brand new. No questions. Tumi is a higher end option but if you're a frequent traveler it's well worth the price. Moreover, I would highly recommend the service at this location. read more
