It really is time to find a new place to go. While the people are nice, the services aren't. I know she speaks English, but apparently she doesn't understand the words " I don't want the fade too high". Been getting my hair cut by Jen for about 6 months now and every single time as been an even better visit than the last. Always very receptive to my requests and always knows exactly what I want. She is the epitome of what a barber should be, amazing at their job and genuinely a great time just talking. Gave this place a couple shots and they failed pretty badly. First time they had no clue what was going on and a different girl had to jump in mid haircut to fix it. This time we went in since it's near by and I gave the benefit of the doubt. Nope. Sat for about 40 min to be told they didn't know how long it would take because the "stylist" had been talking a bit more. Tune up is more of a gimmick without the customer service. read more

Well... the place has a relaxed vibe. Definitely, a man's corners and they make it pleasant in getting a haircut by offering drinks while you wait- limited to 2, by the way. It's was it and missed with this place. On the first visit, the barber was great; the second wasn't; my haircut was not what I showed the barber, actually she was a hairstylist since there was only one barber. On the 3rd ad 4th, with the barber not available, I got a hairstylist that was actually pretty good and consistent. The biggest gripe, I would call ahead days to set up an appt but was told unless I sign up for VIP (basic membership $75), they will not reserve the time. They need to consider some of their regulars don't need the VIP membership and need a haircut twice a month. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! I came in on mother day to get a haircut and a beard trim. I've haven't shaved in the last 7 years. The lady (instead of evening it out) decided to give me the WORST chin strap like we're in the 90's. After the haircut was "finished" i had to correct it 7 times while still in the chair. And EVEN STILL i had stray LONG hairs. I had to tell her where to cut when it should be obvious where. My sides were uneven. Another hairstylist even still went over her mistakes before i left. I was very nice and understanding it's hair it happens but come on this is people looks and appearances. If this is how you want people to look shame on you! The manager has yet to reach out, they obviously DO NOT care about their customers. DO NOT take your children here OR yourself EVERY! It's better to look shaggy and bumish than to get a haircut here. Was one of the most expensive haircut/beard trim i ever had. Problem was she spent less than 15mins, no products used at all, no razors used, and absolutely no blow-off/brush-off when she was finished. Very sloppy cut, rushed and way too expensive. Place is a total joke. If you aren't one of their "VIP" clients your chances of getting a haircut are slim. Every time I've gone in I'm told "we are booked up till closing with ppl who called ahead!" WTH? Only two ppl in the salon waiting......yet they allow call ahead to take priority over others. Just another route to try to force ppl to pay $100+ a month to be a VIP....... No thanks. No wonder they can't keep staff at any location. If they treat employees how they treat customers that has to be a miserable place to work. read more

My husband has had trouble finding a barber in Cypress... we even tried Hammer and Nails but they were not consistent and really butchered his hair the last time. My husband desperately came into Tune Up this weekend (just a couple weeks after its grand opening), and I've never seen him so happy and confident after a haircut--all thanks to Jojo! Management need revamping....Owner requested me to take down post of other location Barker and insist that if didn't I could go other place sense their linked instead of trying to make right on previous service( see barker location post for information) His business mogul and management forecast should remove him from equation to make more profits and service friendly environment that imbues obtaining and retaining customers. First time at Tune Up. My son was getting a haircut. Greeted as soon as you walked in. Owner, Brian was very hospitable, drinks for the kids and cold beer, wine for the adults. Pricing is reasonable. Hair stylist and or Barber, are very good. Glad Tune Up is down the street. Friendly atmosphere. Watch the game, have a cold drink, while you get your haircut. We will certainly go back. read more

This place is fantastic in all aspects. I did have to wait longer than expected but the place was packed. I honestly don't mind waiting 45 mins for a haircut when I can have a beer and watch a game. My haircut here is always perfect and everyone is so nice. I just became a VIP member and now I can make an appointment ahead of time. Seriously love this place! read more
