Worst Chinese food I ever had. Everything from the chicken to fried rice was beyond disgusting.

They were friendly but I literally just dumped my lo mein into a bowl to heat it up and there's what looks like a baby roach in it. I'm livid. This was literally in the bottom of it in between noodles. At first I thought it was the black fork sticking through and I wish I had been right. I'm so grossed out right now. DO NOT EAT FROM HERE This restaurant should be shut down by the health inspectors. The bathroom was appalling dirty smelly toilet no soap in the dispenser and no paper towels! Hand written signs and faded food menu pictures add to the ambience of the shithole. The dining area had boxes and general brick a brack laying around. And was not a place you want to stick around at. I ordered pork boneless spare ribs lousy fatty as shit meat with a hint of bleach and or spoiled taste. Pork fried rice was just rice and maybe a hint of onion piece with burnt shitty taste throughout.. unrefrigerated 2 liter soda sitting out for sale for $2.50 for dated at best soda. This place better not have made me sick tonight or I will be calling the health inspector myself read more

I pretty much grew up with these people. The restaurant is only 3 blocks from my parents' house, so when I still lived in PA (before going to college), they were the only place we'd go for Chinese food. And now when I go home to visit, it's not unheard of for me to call home about 30mins before I arrive and say, "Order me something from Tung's!" They are suuuuuper friendly, the food is great, they have yummy/cheap lunch specials until 3pm, and it's always done in 10 minutes. Gotta love these people... still miss them whenever I am ordering Chinese up here in Connecticut. They do have about 4-5 tables along the side of their establishment, but I think 95% of the people who patrionize them do call-in/pick-up. But, tables are there if you need them on your lunch hour. read more

New to the area and I figure I'd try this place out. Well it will be the last time I would eat there. I had General Tso lunch special. It was worst Chinese I've ever had. The lunch special included a soup so I got WonTon and the dumplings were slight brown so I think they were over cooked. The broth was just as dark not the clear that I'm used to seeing. Perhaps been used all week. The rice was under cooked for it was hard, not soft to bite and it was also greasy. The chicken was tough to chew and didn't taste good at all, something was missing from want I'm used to eating. Needless to say, I did not enjoy or finish my lunch. Went here on a Sunday. There was a bunch of workers there, but no other patrons, which had me a bit worried. Ordered beef with mixed vegetables and got a side of white rice with it. It took about 5 minutes for the order. The food was great. The beef was well cooked. The sauce was spiced nicely. And the vegetables were not over cooked. I would definitely go there again to try other dishes. The only immediate criticism I can give is the dining area was a bit dirty and looked seldom used, but since I took it home it didn't bother me much. read more

Food quality really fell off a cliff in the past year. I was hoping my bad experience was just a one-off but three strikes and it's time to throw away the take out menu. Egg rolls & rice consistently over cooked. chow mien didn't have any noodles, just lots and lots of onion. Even the fortune cookie was over cooked. Live nearby and have been ordering from here for years. But food quality has gotten more subpar. Yesterday ordered pepper steak with onions and peppers. It should have been called onions and peppers with steak. Called Tungs to complain about the $8 "onion" order. They said they'd issue me a credit but only after I was made to feel like I was lying about my issue with the food. They told me to look through the food. Uh duh that's why I was calling to complain. I had looked through my food container. They then came to my house with credit slip and asked me to give them the food back. Who does that? I am very disappointed in their customer service and will not give them anymore of my business. This was possibly - no, probably - the WORST Chinese food I have ever eaten. I ordered delivery for lunch through delivery.com. The Crab Rangoon was okay, but the hot and sour soup tasted like someone put their cigarette out in it, and the Chicken with Garlic was TERRIBLE. I ate about two bites of the chicken and three spoonfuls of the soup before I had to stop in disgust. Every place's Chinese food is a little different, but this meal was completely inedible. There is a high probability that I have had food from every single Chinese delivery restaurant that I can convince to deliver to me. I am very lazy when I'm hungry. I have learned to accept that most of the food that is delivered will be cold. That is why man created microwaves. Well, Tung's Garden surprised the heck out of me by delivering me HOT food from Norristown to Conshohocken. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? Are they magicians? Not only was the food hot, but it was delicious! Good, solid Chinese take-out food. The meat to rice ratio is always appropriate (I mostly get chicken) Recently I got the beef and broccoli and the beef was tender and tasty. Dumplings (6) are always good as well. The owner is always working, he must sleep there, so the food is consistent. Alot of Chinese food places are inconsistent, but not this place. read more

I don't understand how anyone can give this place a good review. I passed by this place with my wife one afternoon and we decided to try it as we were both craving Chinese food. We should have left as soon as we walked in, as half the restaurant had the lights turned off and the chairs up, and there were no cutomers in the restaurant but we decided to just try it - we weren't expecting a gourmet meal just edible food. We ordered a chinese scallion pizza, dumplings and chicken w/ eggplant. The dumplings and scallion pizza came first - the dumplings were ok but had a ton of dough around them. We ate just the meat inside. I tried the dipping sauce that came with them and it tasted like straight up rubbing alcohol. The pizza looked like a lump of fried dough with no seasoning - it was like an inch thick. It tasted like crap - took one bite and didn't finish. Then the main course came...my wife took a bite first and spit it out immediately. I looked at her kind of funny (we aren't that picky)...she told me to try it. I took a tiny bite of a piece of chicken - it was rancid. It tasted like it was sitting out for about a week, on a countertop, and then cooked. We got up and walked out, left our food on the table, and will never go back. read more

This is easily the worst Chinese food i've ever had. Wonton soup - flavorless. Pork fried rice? Flavorless. Sesame chicken? This is grade F quality meat, I kid you not. The egg roll was soaked in oil and grease. Don't get me wrong. I expect an egg roll to be greasy, but not like this. I wouldn't even eat it if was free. For Chinese take out, this is my go to place. I have never had a bad meal here whenever the craving for Chinese hits me. The restaurant does try to cater to my requests to make their dishes more healthy (Ie: Grilled vs. Deep Fried). They deliver too, which is a big plus. I've never had to wait more than 40 minutes for delivery. People here are friendly too, if you can get past the language barrier. It's obvious that they are definitely hard working people. The place is open 12+ hours a day and its always the same 4 or 5 people. I think they sleep in the refrigerators. read more

I went here after picking up a pretzel tray years ago in the same shopping center because I didn't feel like cooking that night. This is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. I get delivery now from there all of the time. I wish they had a nicer eat in restaurant, but when I need delivery I am never disappointed in the food. I am vegetarian and their options are so delicious. In the summer they make a yummy iced tea that I can't get enough of! The delivery man is soooo nice. Since he has been delivering to our house for so long, he knew when we had our daughter and always asks about her even after 3 years. Love the people and the food even more. read more

I ordered take out here for the first time and there was a major communication barrier while trying to place my order. i repeated my credit card number too many times and then i was called three time for my address .once the driver arrived , he was friendly but the food was cold . I ordered beef and broccoli add shrimp , the beef tasted sour and metallic the gravy tasted like an oily beef base mixture and the Shrimp were doughy and tasteless and one of the shrimp had green and brown spots on it as if it were raised in radioactive water . DO NOT EAT HERE. I was craving for Chinese today ordered delivery to the office. My first thought was that bag looks really old.. I opened the food (General Tso) and I though maybe they just make it different then other spots. I took one bite n spit it out. I love Chinese n we order usually from East Cuisine once a month. Even sometimes if it's not the best it had Never been this awful. The rice was so soggy it was mashed potatoes. I called them and brought it back and told them I felt like I should call the health dept. it is 6 hours later and I still have a cleanser taste in my mouth. Rude owners too. read more
