Oh man I've been here every single time I have landed into Dallas. They have a chicken waffle with Mac n cheese stamped into the waffle itself and it tastes great. I get so full off of eating here I think I gain 10lb everytime. The decorations are cute and I think its a great place for brunch. The appetizers are pretty awesome and I've liked every single one. I will start this off by saying that I visited with a large group of ladies and the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate such a large group. This place has something special about it, from the welcoming atmosphere to the outdoor seating available. Upon arrival we were greeted and asked about appetizers. As we were doing a meet and greet, most folks decided that we would jump straight into drinks and then order food. I went back and forth about what I wanted to drink and asked the server about suggestions - he stated that to get the most bang out of my buck to go with the mega mimosa. I will say that my hang up about most mimosas is the cheap "champagne" that I'm not a fan of, however that wasn't an issue here. Most of the ladies either went with the southern hospital or the blueberry lavender, which both got great reviews. I personally got the avocado toast and eggs and I can't say that I felt I got a great meal. I asked for no cilantro and no pickled onions however the mixed greens that was suppose to come on my plate surely wasn't the two leaves on the toast. Some of the other ladies got the shrimp and grits which they stated was okay, however the chicken and waffles is what everyone raved about. I had asked about getting the mini banana pudding to go but was told that it was only available for dine in. I decided let's splurge and asked for it to be eaten there however I don't know if the server forgot but I never got it, but it was on my bill. After pointing it out to the server he came back and let me know that the manager was kind enough to remove it, however I'm thinking to myself, I NEVER received it, so why wouldn't it be removed. This location is beautiful! I prefer it to the Frisco location. The atmosphere and ambiance is so light and has an outdoor Malibu Farm - California vibe to it. We had a reservation and still had to wait a bit for our table. Expect a bit of a wait on a Sunday! The fried chicken entree is always a must. It's sprinkled with honey dust or something to the sort. It adds a little sprinkle sprinkle to the dish haha in the best way. Something I've always loved is the ability pick from the options of sides. The mac n cheese is bomb!! The fried green tomatoes are always a good idea but lacked seasoning in the batter. Adding salt helped a bit. Sad that they aren't bigger than it used to be as it's now mini slices of green tomatoes. I forgot the drink I ordered but it's similar to a Hugo spritz. Lovely drink with a fair amount of liquor and super refreshing with the cucumber. Perfect for these hot summer days. Service was great, no complaints. They do have a parking lot which we had no issues with! Outdoor seating is available for those that enjoy eating outside. There isn't much of a view however but the patio is decorated nicely and there are a bunch of flowers/flower beds that make it enjoyable. The location is perfect as it's adjacent to the nearest highway. I can see this as a great option for those traveling to/from DFW Airport and looking for a great meal. Very modern styled restaurant on the inside with a bar and music played over speakers. I tried to make reservations online, but I couldn't due to the size of the party. So I called to make reservations, but they didn't answer nor call me back. I decided to just go back online and make reservations for the highest number that it would allow me since they didn't call me back. They had really good service despite not answering and returning calls. Other waiters/waitresses that weren't waiting on our table would stop by to see if we needed anything. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer before we ordered the food, but the appetizer didn't come out until after the food so they didn't charge us for that. I ordered the salmon and quinoa and I was really hungry so I don't know if the food was really good or if it was so good because I was hungry. Either way, it was delicious to me in that moment. This was the first meal I had when I arrived at Dallas and I was not disappointed! I was looking over their menu and they had so many good appetizers that I wanted to try. The interior was gorgeous and our server was also very helpful. For the food, we went with the pimento cheese dip (with extra chorizo toppings), fried green tomatoes (the server recommended this as one of their best sellers), shrimp poboy, and the mac n cheese waffles with hot fried chicken. The cheese dip was absolutely divine, the tomatoes was not bad, but also exceptionally great (it left an odd aftertaste). The shrimp poboy was better than I expected! The shrimp was fried to perfection yet still very juicy and plump on the inside. The waffle and fried chicken was a bit more heavy especially with the mac n cheese stuffed inside the waffle, but it was very good. Just be prepared to share with another because the portion was very big. Love the decor - upscale and modern everything about this venue is fresh, inviting and welcoming. Staff is very friendly from the front door to the bartender the wait staff and the folks who bring out the food. Now, since we're talking about food oh my goodness ! This has to be some of the best I've had in a long time we tried the fried green tomatoes, which came on a bed of grits and an absolutely delicious sauce. I decided to try the Cracklin's, which came with homemade pimento cheese. I can't even get begin to say how tasty they were perfectly crispy on the outside soft on the inside pimento cheese was creamy, and had perfect saltiness. I also had the hot mini chicken, macaroni and cheese waffle, which was plenty. The chicken was crispy on the outside moist on the inside, seasoned perfectly the waffle in the mac & cheese, a wonderful addition and the "hot" was a sauce that was indeed hot, but it was not all over the entrée it was around the plate so you could dip into it. Ok, Tupelo Honey needs to be on everybody's brunch list! Biscuits, waffles, benedicts, grits, they've got all of the things! This location is way more convenient (for me) than the Frisco one, and since it's brand spanking new, everything is bright and cute. I went with the breakfast bowl (tasty, generous portion) and ordered some biscuits to go with it. The biscuits were a touch dry but they are served with this "berry butter" that was so good! My table also got the pimento cheese, pickles, and waffles (don't judge!) and everything was great! Service was fast and friendly. Honestly, no complaints. This was my first visit to the Las Colinas location and I'm so happy there's one closer and I don't have to drive to Frisco! I loved the ambiance as soon as I walked up and walked inside. It was bright, lots of natural light and seating was spaced nice. Service was decent and our server, Shemar, was very helpful and nice. Now the good stuff! Blueberry lavender mimosa: 8/10 - visually it wasn't what I was expecting but taste wise it was delicious. It wasn't too strong and the lavender lemonade had the perfect balance of sweetness. Biscuits for a cause: 8.5/10 - these biscuits were mouth watering and fluffy on the inside. Definitely recommend getting an order of these. The only reason they don't get a 10 is because blueberry was the only jam option and strawberry is my personal preference. Fried pickles: 7/10 - only "complaint" here is how thin the pickles are sliced. Taste wise these were good but a tad too greasy and thin for me. Chicken and waffles w/side of eggs: 8.5/10 - the chicken was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. It was nice and juicy; not dry at all. The waffles were cooked nice and crispy and weren't soggy. I asked to sub my classic chicken with the Asheville chicken but that didn't happen. This time I made sure to ask for the cheese to be cooked in with the eggs and that also didn't happen. This second location is in a new area in Irving which is a lot closer to me. With beautiful patio, I can't wait to enjoy it once it's a bit cooler out. I made reservations for a Saturday morning since I wasn't sure how busy it would be. Luckily it wasn't as packed at 10am as I thought. But people kept rolling in and it was filled at 11. We ordered a couple of egg bennies: buttermilk fried chicken and the roast beef, country fried chicken and waffles, and the breakfast bowl. Everything was delicious, from the perfectly fried chicken to the creamy grits packed full of flavor in the breakfast bowl. The bennies had the perfect runniness from the poached eggs. The biscuits that they use for the bennies were rich and fluffy but a bit on the salty side, same goes for the potato cracklin's. Delicious, but just a heads up if you have a sensitivity to salt. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was to find Tupelo Honey here in Irving, TX. I stumbled upon this location leaving an appointment. I had the most amazing cold brew espresso martini and some fresh fried okra with this dipping sauce that is to fall out for. I also had the chicken and waffles that had mac n cheese on top and yessssss it was so amazing. I discovered this place first in Atlanta. Now that it's here, it's my FAVORITE place. Go see Jess. Used to be one of my favs, but they've made several unfavorable changes in the last year. Mac n cheese recipe has changed. Chicken n waffles now comes with a dry chicken patty opposed to the two chicken thighs it used to come with. Several other reviews have commented on how dry the chicken now is. And the purple people eater was more of a martini style but floral notes due to the lavender, but nicely blended with the lime and blueberry. We were thoroughly impressed! The Brussels were not your typical honey or basaltic glaze, but crispy & served with ranch, delicious. We also got the loaded potato crackins and pimento cheese dip! Both were really good! We also each for a chicken and waffle mini, the original and siracha honey. I love siracha but wasn't in love with this dish. Their collard greens are so good (not dry, over vinegared, over sugared, flavorless, undercooked, meatless like most DFW spots). It's only the 3rd restaurant in all of DFW where I've ever had GOOD collard greens. But the Brussel sprouts and pumpkin bisque just changed my life. There's so much flavor, texture, care in how the dishes are prepared. Great location and right off the highway! On a hot crisp day, walking into this location was quite refreshing. The a/c was blowing strong, and we all know how important that is in this Texas heat. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress moments later. She was cheerful and ready to serve us. We started with fried green tomatoes and to our surprise it came on a bed of creamy cheesy grits lined with a red chipotle like sauce. It was so fresh and very pleasing to our palates. For an entree I decided on the salmon that comes on a sea creamy quinoa lined with dollops of a chipotle sauce. Embedded within the quinoa were carrots and cauliflower. It all came together well and was very filling. My beau gave the smothered chicken a try with Mac n cheese and collard greens. It was plentiful and definitely satisfied his desires. The collards taste like someone's grandma shared her recipe. Lol. They were really good. We weren't a fan of all the stems but the flavor was on point. He wasn't a huge fan of the Mac n cheese but did say it was just ok. We also tried a mini flight of pecan pie and banana pudding and it was a nice finish to our meal. They were delightful on the outside but undercooked on the inside and so hard and very tough to cut into. I ordered the shrimp and grits for the entrée and was not really sure what to expect. This is your typical American Southern food. The restaurant is decorated nicely but was a tad bit warm inside. We had a reservation (Saturday afternoon) and were seated at a high table by the bar immediately upon arrival. For drinks, I tried a strawberry sangria and "peach don't kill my vibe" sangria. I enjoyed both drinks as they were amazingly made. For food, I ordered the smothered chicken + Caesar salad and bacon braised collard greens, I also added a side of back mac and cheese. Service was on point during our visit, from the moment we walked in the door, to our service during our visit, and when we left. We shared an app, of fried pickles which we both liked. I fell in love with Tuplelo when I lived in Charlotte and I'm so happy to see a new one in Las Colinas. My gf and I visited for brunch on Saturday. The decor was also cute with a nice grass wall to take those Yelp and IG worthy brunch flicks. As always, the menu is plentiful with brunch, lunch and dinner items. There's been a few changes along the way as they don't have the sweet potato pancakes on the menu anymore (who made that decision??). But you can definitely get blueberry waffles :-) The fried green tomatoes are always a winner! The chicken waffles were good a well: made with a chicken thigh vs breast but it was cooked really well. The loaded cracklings were just okay. If I order again, I'd skip the pimento cheese as it was a bit overpowering. The bacon & sausage cast iron skillet was unique. It wasn't bad but the peperonata and the green tomato aioli drizzle was a bit overpowering as well. I live in walking distance of this restaurant and it's very hit or miss. Some days the food is good and then sometimes it's dry. The best thing here is the service as the hosts/servers are all super nice. It is cute inside and overall I'd come here for a quick lunch/take my parents kind of place.
