I'm from Austin, Tx where we have a super Foodie culture. I was honestly surprised at just how phenomenal EVERYTHING is at Tup Tim. The Tup Tim rolls are the best egg rolls I've ever had. The Tom Ka soup is delicious! Order it with chicken and shrimp. I've also had the garlic pepper chicken with vegetables multiple times. It's delicious! The Amazing is an entree with chicken and broccoli and a sweet and savory peanut sauce. My husband loves this dish! The Volcano scallops are also a favorite. This is definitely our favorite restaurant in town. We even went on my Birthday. I've tried several other Thai restaurants in town and I've been less than impressed. I stopped in to TupTim for lunch. It's a nicely appointed, clean restaurant done in Thai design/decor. I was greeted promptly and offered a choice of seating. As soon as my menu hit the table, the waitress was present to take my order. I decided on the Thai iced coffee and the drunken noodle with combo meat, which she explained was pork, beef and chicken. My order arrived in a reasonable time. It was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. A lot of the other places I've tried overcook the noodles and they stick together in a big glob. The noodles here were perfect and tasty. For a spice level, I was offered 1-4. I like it hot and went for the 4. It wasn't over the top, but it definitely had a kick. The waitress also brought some additional spices, without being asked, in case my dish wasn't hot enough. I tried the dried peppers, which added a nice additional bite. I highly recommend TupTim and I can't wait to try other items on the menu. The coffee was really good too. read more

The curry was delicious but the pad Thai lacked flavor!! Service was very slow, out of water for a long time.

This was an okay Thai place, but there were some things that were off. First was the Tom Kha soup, I asked for no chicken and no tofu, but it still came out full of chicken, which wasn't the biggest deal because I could easily take the chicken out. The waiter was helpful, and offered to grab me a sample of the 2 different curries I was trying to choose between, but come to find out that he charged for the samples, which while it wasn't a huge deal, it was still nearly $2 ($1.60 to be exact) for what as essentially 2 spoon fulls of sauce. Had I known that there was going to be a charge for the sample I would have just gotten something that I was familiar with. The last thing was that the green curry was good, but some of the bamboo shoots were not cooked all the way through and I had to spit those parts out, and I'm not sure what it was in the soup (it was pretty runny so it seems more like soup than a Thai dish), but something in the soup tasted like licorice which I am not a fan of so I didn't finish it. Overall it's a decent place to eat, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good either, but the staff were very nice. read more

We used Yelp to find a Thai restaurant. We talked to a local who said this was his favorite restaurant! Hubby & I split a Chicken Sati & pad Thai. I like peanut sauce to add to my Pad Thai. I asked the waiter to make the Pad Thai medium but closer to hot! We like it spicy but like to still taste the goodness! It was made perfectly! Definitely would come back!
