I love Thai food and have eaten it all over the USA. This was the worst that I have ever had. Beef salad over wilted coleslaw and tom yum soup, white, and no flavor. The sticky rice and mango was difficult to get down. It was old, cold and the coconut sauce was weak and almost tasteless. My husband that a plate of drunken noodles that looked Iike a pile of garbage...with no sauce It was all a terrible dinner....it was our 57th anniversary and we expected better. Stopped by to just grab a refreshing cold Thai Tea and some dessert. The pumpkin custard was not too sweet and just right on the tastebuds so it was a hit. The custard rice is now one of my favorites - sticky rice with a layer of custard on top. Yummy!!! read more

We Thai'd one on last Saturday. It was our first trip to Thai Spice Cafe, and we're glad we went. My wife talks a lot about but rarely gets curry dishes, so this was a good chance to satisfy that craving. She had the green curry, and I had the pork ramen soup. I don't mind the ramen I make at the house, but this is the punched up version. This pork is something you bite as opposed to something you open and "sprankle" over your noodles. The dining room is clean and cozy, and the service was great. (Our experience was enhanced by eavesdropping on a couple that sounded like they may have been on their first date. Jury's out on whether or not there will be a second. Man I feel lucky to be married to my roommate and not on the dating scene.) read more

Friendly staff. Clean inside. The sweet and sour chicken and the stir fried basil had very similar flavor. Stir fried basil with chicken was mostly onions. The temperature of the food was a mix. Some pieces were hot and some were ice cold. The Thai milk tea was delicious. Servings of non noodle dishes were kind of small for the price. Noodle dishes were large portions. read more

Terrible experience. My panang was panang soup. it was the consistency of water. Whatever was inside The spring rolls had completely dissolved when they fried them and my waiter left halfway through my meal got on his bike and rode away. Another guy showed up and just walked up, Did not introduce himself. my waiter didn't say goodbye and introduce my new waiter. Just all of a sudden some guy was asking me if I needed anything. So.... I wasn't disappointed when we ordered from this place via. GrubHub a few weeks ago, which was why we decided to try the restaurant out for dine-in tonight. I'm BIG on consistency and this was where they lacked. The Shrimp Pad Thai was not remotely close to what we got when ordering GrubHub. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't the flavor we were wanting - it was salty and not seasoned well (it was weird). The Red Curry Chicken was "ok" and kinda disappointing. I didn't add heat, and it was LIT. Good thing I don't mind heat, but if it were anyone else they wouldn't have been able to eat it. We ordered veggie spring rolls as an app and they were over cooked and the veggies were mush. They need to learn ticket times, because our food came out a minute after the app. It was definitely an off night. The food looked better than it tasted. **PSA - if you are looking for the dine-in experience, do not come here. You order at the register when you walk in, and you are on your own after that. I ordered take out so I won't comment on service or ambience, but I would eat in. Looked nice enough. The reason for my 3 star - I ordered take out. It was ready when I got there but when I got back to my hotel room, no utensils or napkins. It's ok if not automatic, but ask if needed. Ordered Thai yellow curry with chicken. Chicken was very good, spice was nice - I should have asked for a little more heat, but I have never ordered from here so I did not know. My disappointment- sauce was thin and this was the "whitest" curry I have ever had. Only vegetables, potatoes and onions (and my rice was white) I am used to getting peppers and a little crunch. Will I order from here again? Maybe. Flavor was good, chicken was good, but I will be more specific and for $19.00 before tip I feel ok asking for a little bit more. read more

I had curry that was very flavorful. The style they do is a thin, soup-like curry. Not exactly what I'm used to but adding rice to it made for a tasty meal. Service was fine though they were not busy early on this Saturday evening. Other diners seemed pleased with their meals as well. read more

Came in for lunch and loved it! You walk in and get a menu from the pickup counter. You take your menu to your seat then when you're ready to order, come back to the counter. I'm a bit of a water snob so I'd like to point out they have really good tap water haha The spring rolls were awesome! Husband got the pad thai and loved it. He wished he asked for medium spice because it was not spicy at all. It was too sweet for me. I got the pad see ew and it was soooo good! We moved here from ATL over a year ago. Atlanta has fabulous Thai restaurants. I want so badly to have decent Thai food here on the Island. Some entrees I've had in the past have been ok. But, I was so disappointed in the to go entree I ordered for lunch two days ago. Their Maasamun chicken curry was unacceptable. It absolutely did not taste like that curry should taste. I stumbled across this place while stuck in the area for a few days and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the drunken basil fried rice!! Immediately, the aroma enticed me. During the ride home, my whole car smelled like sweet, sweet goodness, and, when I got home and finally opened up the box, I was greeted with a hefty portion of steamy fried rice. The aroma FLOODED over me in a way that can only be described as heavenly. Even with lofty expectations, the taste did not disappoint. I was worried the basil would be overpowering, but it was just right. Many thanks to the server who recommended the dish!! The prices may not seem great, but the quality speaks for itself, and I got two meals out of my order, so I see no issue. Lovely place, easy 5 stars. read more

The interior doesn't look like much but it's a great place for pick-up and is actually kind of geared towards that with a large pick-up area. They do have dine in seating as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, the green curry has a nice spice to it and lots of coconut milky broth and veggies. The Tom Kha soup was really good too with lots of veggies and scallions and very tasty, not bland. I would have liked to see a little more variety on the menu, like chicken or beef larb which is what I was in the mood for, but over all, very satisfactory for a Thai food craving. read more

Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes but after trying it 3 times here I have to say their version is not my favorite. They serve a large amount of food which is a plus however, the way the pad Thai is prepared lacks something for me. It feels quite thrown together and there's not much textural appeal as I've had with other pad Thais from different restaurants. With that being said this place has other entrees that are well worth it and absolutely delicious! Some of my favorites are the crab fried rice; it's very rich, large portions with tons of crab meat! Also... if you're visiting for the first time and not sure what to get be sure to try to fried spring rolls -- they are incredible and most definitely a crowd pleaser. The place has a potential to be great but they are not there yet. Coconut soup- seems to be watered down and uses the wrong kind of mushrooms. Pad thai- missing salt and a bit bland... Ordered appetizers, soup and pad thai- they brought everything in 5 min... could have spaced it out a bit and let us enjoy. The hostess was really tacky... which was a huge turn off for me. She did not want to get up and proceeded to eat various things as she was taking our order- she ate watermelon, then soup which was beyond obvious... I am sorry but it's just tacky to eat like this whole working with customers. Step outside and eat then return back to the hostess stand. read more
