While there was a dj, the music was good and appropriate for all present. There is a green space out there with games for the kids like big jenga, as well as a fire pit for s'mores when the sun sets. They sell a s'mores kit for $3 which isn't bad. I also liked the fact that they have a drink shack with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. I really love that there is something like this in the African American community! I think that it gives those who live in and around the community a safe place to have fun and experience other minority small businesses that they can support. In following them on social media, I've noticed they also provide other events like wellness Wednesdays (yoga) and sip and paints. I know I'll be back because there's a number of other places I'd like to try and I love the fact that they support and provide a nice space for African Americans, as well as others to experience.

Service was extremely disappointing today…read more I ordered a 6-piece wing (not the meal). After the cashier gave me the total, I tapped my card and paid. Immediately after, I asked, "Wait, how much is the meal?" She said it was about the same price as what I ordered. I then asked what came with the meal, and she said wings, fries, and a drink. I responded that I would prefer the meal instead. Her response was, "Well, you already paid for it." Mind you, I was literally still signing and even tipping 22% when this conversation happened. There was no effort to accommodate or simply adjust the order just a dismissive response. What made it worse was the lack of professionalism. The employee went back to sitting in a chair with no shoes on, feet up, and scrolling on her phone which is exactly what she was doing when I first walked in. Customer service matters. With so many dining options in the area, this experience makes it easy to choose somewhere else next time. Unfortunately, this will be the last money I spend at this location.
