Old Lady Gang - Atlanta, GA Old Lady Gang has such an incredible southern vibe from the moment you walk in. The ambience is warm, welcoming, and full of personality -- exactly what you'd hope for in a true Southern dining experience. The food is amazing. Everything we tried was delicious, and honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The flavors are rich, comforting and clearly made with love. The service was just as impressive -- friendly, attentive and full of that classic Southern hospitality. Highly recommend! If you're in ATL and want great food in a vibrant, homey atmosphere, this is the place to go.

Don't waste your time. I hadn't been to Atlanta since Covid, and I was really looking forward to revisiting some of the places I used to frequent and enjoy. OLG was one of them and I was extremely disappointed. My friend and I arrived around 12:30ish, and the place was fairly empty except for two seated tables. Despite that, I had to wave down the bartender to be seated because the bartender and waitress were deep in conversation and no one was at the host stand. Normally, that would be a red flag for me, but to be fair the service has never really been great here. The food used to make up for it. Once we were finally seated, there were a few things I noticed right away. The floor was disgusting. It clearly hadn't been properly swept or mopped in quite some time. The half booth we sat at was leaning, and the table was sticky. The mirror behind the seats was also filthy and covered in handprints. Keep in mind, this was at 12:30 pm when the restaurant had just opened. It took us 15 minutes to place our order with a different waitress because ours disappeared. I ordered the fried deviled eggs as an appetizer, and my friend ordered the cornbread. The deviled eggs weren't terrible, but the egg whites were rubbery and chewy, which hadn't been the case before. My friend's cornbread was supposed to come with four muffins, but only three arrived and they were definitely not fresh. They were hard and lukewarm with honey poured on top. They tasted like they were from the day before and had been microwaved for 20 seconds. For entrées, I got the blackened salmon with mac and yams, and my friend ordered the fried chicken entrée with the same sides. The chicken was pretty good, but the sides were terrible. My salmon was overcooked to the point that it was tough and chewy around the edges. I've always been a fan of the peach cobbler bread pudding, but after the apps and entrees, I decided to pass. When we finally got the check, of course it was $98 with an automatic tip included.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place from out of town and I was not disappointed! The lamb chops were so juicy and flavorful! The collard greens, MY GOODNESS!! Amazing! The Mac and cheese was cooked good but it lacked some flavor, still edible though. My margarita was perfect. I'd definitely go back!

Stopped by this restaurant on my last trip to Atlanta. I expected a wait or a line but I was seated quicker without a reservation. The location is small but cozy. The service was okay. Parking available in the parking lot shared with other retail locations. Entree: Fish Dinner - Fried Whiting fish, Mac &cheese and sweet potato soufflé. The fish was seasoned well, the mac & cheese was delicious and the sweet potato soufflé was sweet but a nice treat. I loved the entire meal. 5/5 Tips- show up when they open or make a reservation just to be safe. There is an 18% gratuity charged on all orders.

Old Lady Gang - Where the Vibes Were Cute, the Service Was Good, but the Food Had Me Questioning My Life Choices Alright, let me just start by saying this: I walked into Old Lady Gang with high hopes. I'm talkin' soul food dreams so big I was already unbuckling my belt in anticipation. I came in ready to be fed like somebody's grandson fresh off a long church service. But instead? I left with my stomach full of disappointment and the sudden urge to call my grandma and apologize for ever doubting her cooking. Ambiance - 6/10 (Cute, But Not Cuddly) Now look, the place is cute. It's vibin "my auntie just got her tax refund and redecorated" vib. Nice, clean, kinda vibey. The lighting was decent, the decor was modern, and they had just enough ambiance to make you think, 'Yeah, I might take a few pics for Instagram,' but not enough to make you flex that you were here. Service - 8.6/10 (Because They Actually Care About You) Now the service? Let me tell you--the staff was on point. Our server was attentive, kind, and didn't give off that fake 'I hate my job' energy you get at some places. I didn't have to wave my arms like I was guiding a plane in for landing just to get a refill. They checked on us regularly without hovering and got everything right without attitude. Respect. Food - 5.6/10 (Fish & Grits? More Like Wish & Quit.) Here's where things got shaky. I ordered the Fish & Grits thinking I was about to have a spiritual experience. You know the kind where you close your eyes and let the flavor take you to another dimension? Yeah, that didn't happen. * The Fish? It was fine. That's it. Just fine. Not crispy enough to make me tap the table and say "lawd have mercy" but not bad enough to send back. Just sitting there... being fish. * The Grits? They were doing the bare minimum. Like, employee-on-their-last-day type of effort. You ever had grits so bland you had to check if you still had taste buds? I was out here seasoning my own food like I worked there. * Overall? It was NOT worth the risk. I came in hoping for "blessed by Big Mama herself" level food, but I left feeling like somebody's distracted nephew made my plate. Final Verdict - 6.5/10 (Good Service, Mid Meal) Look, Old Lady Gang got the vibes and the service right--I'll give them that. But the food? Man, I could've stayed home, made a bowl of instant grits, and been just as satisfied. Would I come back? For the service? Maybe. For the food? Not unless they hire my granny as the head chef. Final tip: If you come here, stick to a safe dish--because the fish and grits had me out here contemplating my life decisions like I was on an episode of Intervention.

This place was amazing. We were visiting from out of town bringing some family from outside of the country that has never tried anything outside of our cultured food and they loved it. Every plate was scraped clean. We enjoyed the experience so much we came back the next day for the dessert dishes. We want to just say a personal thanks to our server Justin who gave our family the best experience and hope to come back to experience it again.

I came out of a visit to BJ's hungry and longing for home cooking. Who feeds the South? "Old Ladies", that's who. Imagine that your granny and her friends opened a soul food joint and then made it sort of trendy with a bar and soft soul music on the radio. The plat I ordered was the fish dinner with a side of grits and collards. I am a collard cooking fool and these measures up. Really good flavor with a tiny hint of sweetness. The fish is cornmeal breaded, just like the ones we have in South Georgia. My server Rann helped me choose this. He is the best, he suggested the grits as a side. The grits btw were perfect creamy corn grits. Not hard or watery, they were perfect. Finally, the corn muffin was great. It was a cross between sweet and plain meal.

This was my plate of lamb chops collard greens and mashed potatoes. The staff was friendly and the restaurant is clean.

I enjoy supporting Black owned businesses. My friend desired to visit. We made it...glad her birthday dinner was good for her. If you are expecting a "Southern cooked" meal OLG isn't the spot for you. I loved the waitress and bar tender who is extremely supportive of the business and the food they serve. However don't have high expectations of a "Southern cooked" meal. I contributed to the cause of what I believe assisting black owned businesses. Don't order the lamb chops.

I came on a Wednesday evening so the restaurant wasn't busy. We were immediately seated and taken care of. We decided on the salmon bites and deviled eggs for appetizers. They were both good. I could have eaten all the deviled eggs by myself. I got the lamb chops and they were well seasoned. One person in my party got the fried fish dinner. She wasn't a fan of it, but I tasted it and enjoyed it. The other person got the shrimp and grits and she loved it. They both decided to get banana pudding, they said it was okay. Our server was very helpful and attentive. She made sure to check on us and refill drinks and cocktails as we needed. She was cool about the way we needed to split our bill and was able to take care of our requests.

Some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had.

We were looking for Southern comfort food and came across OLG. The menu was promising and they delivered. The ingredients were fresh and the seasoning was spot-on. Everything we ordered came out perfectly. We had since visited other local venues and used OLG as the gold standard. Few can measure up to their quality. The only bummer was the long wait for the food to arrive. A must try if your travels takes you into Atlanta.

It was the black eyed peas and deviled eggs for me!!! Now.... When I'm in ATL, I'm surely going to eat good! Didn't know that's this was Kandi's spot. It must have been meant to be since there was no wait time!!! We ate all the things and food swapped. Was so full, we had our dessert to go. (Someone ate mines so when I'm back in the A, I'll have a do-over.

Do they have a kids menu? Any idea what's on it?

Yes, they have an awesome Kids meal and kids eat free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the purchase of an entree meal.

    Does this location take reservations?

Unfortunately we don’t do reservations at the Camp Creek location. However, give me a call directly, and let me know what your need are.…

Does anyone know that brand of champagne they use for the mimosas?

    Sorry, I didn't have a drink .

What are the hours of this location? Anyone know?

    Monday - Thursday 11am -10pm Friday - Saturday 11am -12a

My friends and I have reservations for lunch at the Peters St. location, but I'm concerned about parking. What do you suggest?

Take an Uber/Lyft. On site parking is limited and not cheap. Street parking is not advised.

Is the Camp Creek location open for lunch?

Yes, they are open for lunch.

Would this be a good place for a group of 12-15 people?

The Camp Creek location is small so I wouldn’t go to that one with a large party.

I love fried chicken (who doesn't?) but typically find other breading to be bland and oily and I usually pull it off to get to the juicy meat...but not at Delilah's. It was the perfect combination of crunchy and flavorful and I was sure to gobble up any small bit that fell on my plate. The collard greens are also incredible. Not too salty not too saturated. Just perfect. I think I'm going to order a take home portion for holiday dinners at home because I can't make them better than this! The service and personal experience was off the charts and exactly what southern hospitality is all about. I decided to have a tapas-style dinner with food from The Works and just had to grab some chicken from Delilah's. The menu is plentiful without being overwhelming, except when it comes to picking a favorite between the flavorful options. I knew that I didn't want or need a full meal and opted for their 3 whole wing option that came paired with cornbread. The young man who took my order was so polite and patient, as there were a few folks in line and waiting for previously placed orders. He let me know that my order would be ready in about 15 minutes so I took the time to continue my food-finding journey around the market. When I returned later, I had lost track of time and figured I'd just poke my head around their stall to see if my chicken was ready. It wasn't at that moment but I took some time to observe the process. There was only one guy in the open kitchen and prep area creating all of the meals and he was on the move. If I could add smells to my review, this one would smell like fried chicken and cornbread. It was all so fresh! When my order was ready, I only made one other stop before heading to my car to go home to my family... but not before I tested those whole wings from Delilah's. When I say that they were fresh out of the grease? Babehhh. It's like he just threw them right into the basket only seconds before. It was sooo crunchy, so juicy, just a fantastic wing. The hot sauce was a nice pairing but some spice in the breading/meat would have taken it over the top but this chicken was delicious. No notes.

There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. I'd happily come back--I'd just skip the 3 meat sampler next time and order more of that brisket!

Our experience at Virgil's Gullah Kitchen was completely unacceptable from beginning to end. Our waiter disappeared for over 15 minutes after taking our credit card to the register. When he finally returned, he claimed that he had somehow lost our credit card between our table and the register. Let that sink in -- our credit card was in the restaurant's possession, and somehow it disappeared while being handled by our server. To make matters even worse, our check was incorrect, adding another layer of frustration to an already completely unacceptable situation. And then, instead of taking responsibility and resolving the situation appropriately, the waiter had the audacity to give us his personal phone number and tell us to call him to see if he found our credit card. Absolutely not. That is not an appropriate way to handle a customer's financial information or a potentially lost credit card. At that point, the issue was no longer simply poor service, it became a matter of trust, accountability, and basic professionalism. I expect a restaurant to provide good food and service, but above all, I expect my personal property and financial information to be handled responsibly. This experience left me extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. Virgil's Gullah Kitchen needs to seriously address how situations like this are handled and, more importantly, how customer credit cards are being handled by staff! One star is honestly generous. I would not recommend this establishment based on this experience.

She checked on us numerous times, didn't rush us and offered suggestions. She kept our table clear of mayhem from empty plates and glasses. Now the food was delicious. It was so good. Such a good location nearby downtown, and if you are staying at the Marriott... it's actually at…read morethe end of City Center Walk so technically you don't even have to get off property! 1st time trying Gus's was in Chicago so was happy to see it nearby lodging when here at ATL! My to-go order looks a bit on the small side, but it was definitely hardy and enough for me (average to probably a tadd bit more indulgence eater haha) I enjoyed their Mac and Cheese, along with their potato salad -- they're definitely my favorite sides when I'm visiting here The spice and seasoning here is a little bit less than before but I appreciate the staff who gave me several extra hot sauces haha

I visited this location a month a go and I am extremely disappointed with my experience. After…read moredining at the restaurant,I accidentally left my phone behind. I called shortly afterward and was informed that an employee had found it and that it was being held at the restaurant. When I arrived about 10 minutes later to retrieve it, I was told that the phone was no longer there and had somehow gone missing. What made this situation even worse was the way the manager handled it. Instead of showing concern, taking responsibility, or making a genuine effort to help resolve the issue, he was dismissive, spoke to me in an unprofessional manner in front of other customers, and ultimately walked away while I was still trying to discuss what had happened. I understand that mistakes can happen, but losing an item that had already been found and acknowledged by staff is a serious issue. More importantly, the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism shown by management was unacceptable. No customer should be treated with disrespect, especially when trying to recover a valuable personal item. I hope the company reviews its lost-and-found procedures and provides better customer service training to its management team. My experience left me feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and completely unsupported.
