It's awesome when you can find an Indian restaurant that serves biryani. I also think the lemon coriander soup is a must-try. I have only ever tasted their plain naan, garlic naan and raita. The naan had a lot of the dark-toasted crust on it which I've seen over and over again in the upper valley on thin-crust pizzas, as well. I loved dipping it into the raita "made with curd (yogurt), cucumber, carrots seasoned with fresh ground spices and herbs." I intend to visit again and try a whole meal sometime to update this review. read more

My fiancé and I are on a weekend trip in the Upper Valley area and we stopped here to get lunch, it was SO tasty. We ordered garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, which came with rice, and chaat masala fries. This was enough for us to split, if we lived in the area I definitely would have ordered more to have as left overs. Everything was so flavorful and we enjoyed dipping the naan and fries in the tikka masala sauce. I already started eating when I took this picture and only stopped to take it because it was so amazing and I wanted it for this review. Highly recommend!!! read more

My husband and I recently ate at this restaurant for the first time. The menu has many items for vegans and non-vegans alike. The hostess/server was very attentive and accommodating of allergy restrictions. We will likely return there many times in the future. This has been our go-to spot for takeout. They're the same people who owned the food truck Taste of Punjab and they've been killing it with the expanded menu. They do a really good job of making dishes from different regions in India without compromising on flavor, complexity, or authenticity. So far we've tried the Appolo fish, murgh malai kebab, chicken korma, hariyali kebab, lamb chops, daal, malai kofta, murgh afghani curry, and lamb chettinand. Besides the dum biryani, which was tasty, but slightly over-spiced (perhaps it was an overuse of mace), we've enjoyed everything. Really great option for take-out or dine-in. Although I came here a few times after it opened, I hadn't been recently. Three of us came for lunch today and ordered Saag Paneer, and Aloo Gobi, and Chana Marsala, with an order of garlic nan. Everything was delicious! Better than I remembered. And the level of spice was exactly what we wanted and had requested. They have redecorated, and they eat in space is much more inviting . The service was quick and friendly- excellent as well. Thanks to the folks at Tumeric Kitchen for bringing their restaurant to our area. read more

Prompt service, expansive menu, food was delicious! The restaurant does thriving take-out business but the inside was clean, spacious and appeared to be newly renovated. There are also outdoor tables. Whomever mentioned no English speakers and plastic forks and paper plates was COMPLETELY WRONG! Our waiter was attentive, answered our questions perfectly and very polite. We had Aloo Gobi, Chicken Korma and Tandoori Chicken with 2 kinds of naan. Everything was excellent! It was pretty good! The chicken tikka masala is creamy and bursting with flavor but I will say the chicken was a bit tough. The naan bread is so soft and fluffy and delicious. I also got a mango lassi and gulab jamun. The lassi was creamy but a bit bitter, could be the mango was bitter, no big deal. The gulab jamun was perfectly sweet and rich. The restaurant itself inside was very clean and welcoming. The person who greeted me and gave me my to go order was so extremely nice too! My only true complaint is that the size of the tikka masala was quite small for what I paid, but I don't mind if the quality is good and the quality of the masala itself was very good. Only Indian restaurant to deliver to DHMC at night. We always ask for utensils, plates, etc They never supply them with the food. There's an automatic fee for delivery outside of tip, I would imagine that should cover any cost. Instead of two portions of rice for two entrees they give you one to split. read more

Spicy in a good way not "hot". Only negative: ordered 2 desserts each ras malai ($6) and galub jamun ($5) each was only two tiny pieces. And sorta blah. Will absolutely order here again. My wife and I were heading home to Vermont from a visit at Dartmouth Hitchcock and looking for a fun, new-to-us place to eat. We had purchased some fresh turmeric this summer from our CSA and when we saw the name of this place and reviewed the menu it looked like a good experiment. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The decor was very attractive and seating comfy. To start we ordered Garlic Naan (freshly made for us), and Lilva Kachori, three "flaky pastry puffs stuffed with seasoned pigeon peas" and served with heavenly mint and tamarind chutney and a yogurt dip. I'm a vegan so I ordered Dal Tadka (a yellow lentil stew with cumin, garlic and other spices), served with Basmati Yellow rice with turmeric and herbs. My wife and I dove in with gusto and still had another serving to take home for a late night snack. Then came her Reshmi Kabab, nearly an entire boned chicken that had been marinated in in ginger, garlic and other spices and coated with a crispy topping. Heaven! All this was very reasonable, totaling $44.96, with tax, tip and card fee $59,22. I wish we were closer to this special eatery, bar and party location, but you can be sure we will be back next time we come through Lebanon. read more

I can't put my finger on it. I've heard that this restaurant was once the Taste Of Punjab food truck. I loved the food from the Taste Of Punjab. And that's the reason I'm confused. The food seems different now. It's okay but not the same as before. Got some roti and lamb Chana tonight. It was ok. A little fat on the lamb but the truck didn't have lamb. The "gravy" (their description in the online menu) wasn't as good as the trucks. I'm wishing the Taste Of Punjab food truck would come back. read more

I had the incredible Punjabi Samosa for appetizer, the garlic naan, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was all amazing and the chicken pieces were so large that I cut them in half! They can customize the spice level, which is what I was a bit worried about from their name, so I am no longer concerned about that and I can't wait to come back! The only thing to be aware of is that they have tables, but no wait staff. He brought the food (in take-out containers) out to my table anyway. I just had to either get a drink from the drink cooler or from the water jars they provide along with little cups for the water, silverware and plates you can pick up to use. One of the best south Asian restaurants I have visited, in terms of the food. Super fresh, flavors that you don't get in most Indian restaurants as this is Punjabi. It's not full of cream and coconut oil. We had hot and sour soup, which was unlike any other hot and sour I've had. Appetizers and pastry style foods are made fresh. Same thing with the naan. Nothing is prepared ahead of time. So the only drawback is you have to plan on a bit of a wait to get your food. But it is worth it. The ambience is sparse but clean. read more

The food is really good but the prices they had in the beginning at first opening have changed. Most if not all of the items are all over two or three dollars what they first were. In other words if you want a lamb dish it will now cost 18 dollars instead of 16. So be prepared to either ask how much the food is you want. read more

We stopped by for some take out after hearing some good reviews from friends. We picked up the food from super friendly staff and had a 20 minute drive home. The smell emitting from the bag of food was so delicious we seriously considered pulling over on the side of the road and having dinner lit by street lights. Fortunately, we were able to have some self control and made it home and it was well worth the wait! We had the chicken tikka masala, aloo ghobi, and mixed veg korma. Each dish had its own distinct flavor and all were outrageous delicious. My husband and I truly could not pick a favorite because each dish was so unique and flavorful in its own way. We also got the samosas which were HUGE! Typically I assume the larger, the less flavor, but these were so savory. The breading was seasoned perfectly and the mix inside was instant comfort. I can not recommend this place enough! We can't wait to come back and try some more dishes. We are so excited to have such a gem come to the upper valleys read more
