We arrived on Saturday morning right before opening and got in the preformed line. After the doors opened the line moves really quickly. They have menus to peruse at the start, and you can view the baked goodies in the case before you get to the order station! counter person behind the register is great, he was friendly and answered questions without batting an eye! Very important for the first interaction! So many things looked good and I decided on the Umami Omelet with bacon, and a regular drip coffee. Food was delivered by maybe a dedicated food runner? We were sitting on the patio, and she seemed to drop everyone's food off. She wasn't all that friendly. When I saw the omelette, I thought I wished I would have asked for the sauce on the side (for reheating, I would find it wasn't an issue!), The bacon was inside the omelette! Met here for breakfast in a weekday morning and was surprised by how busy they were. Which tells you that they have good food. Quite a variety of options but I settled on the Classic breakfast sandwich with cheddar instead of American cheese. It was delicious on brioche bun. My friends got scrambled eggs and the portions looked huge. Also the pancakes are plate sized! Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. I'm not sure if the concept changed since the last time I was there, but you order at the front and then get seated. I went with the farmers breakfast and subbed the potatoes for tots. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and a mimosa because both were calling my name. Initially I sat outside but it wasn't as warm as I had liked, so I moved back inside. There wasn't much of a wait either because despite how busy they were, my food arrived in record time! I was surprised at the portion size (def NOT complaining) but this is a breakfast where you'll certainly get your moneys worth! Everything looked so good I didn't even know where to start. I started with small bites of everything before I decided to focus on one thing. The eggs were perfect; cheesy, thick and great flavor. The tots were tots but I enjoyed them. Usually I look forward to the bread but the pieces I got were exceptionally hard. I did what I could but didn't feel like chewing on rocks, so I bypassed them. The chicken sausage was quite tasty and had great flavor as well. I said I was going to wait until later to try the cookie but ended up taking a few bites in the car. Adorable! Stopped in for breakfast yesterday and headed to the line where you first order your food and then grab a number and a table. Good amount of indoor seating and plenty outside as well. It looks like they have a party room too- fun! Had the omelet with egg whites and chicken sausage and it was one of the most flavorful omelets I've ever had. So good! Also tried their cinnamon roll and it was delicious- should have asked for it to be warmed up though. Tried the oat honey cold brew and also a Bloody Mary and both were divine. The best brunch place in St. Louis. Food: the food is fantastic. I tried the umami omelette on a whim and it was so amazing that I'll probably order it again every time I come here. The breakfast burritos are heart and have crispy hash browns and eggs in them. The buttermilk pancakes are classic. Service: always had great service here. They work hard to clean the tables, especially when it's busy. Ambiance: it's got a cozy chic vibe to it. If you go on a weekend for brunch it will probably be very busy and seating may be limited, especially for larger groups. For two people it's usually not a long wait. They also have an outdoor patio. It's not a big space indoors, so I can see it getting busy on a Sat or Sun morning/lunch. The atmosphere is very laid back and homey. The ordering service and food delivery were quick and flawless. I had the Umami Omelette...it was so great and so different; not sure I can get anything else there, because no one in town offers any breakfast item this unique. Fantastic. My colleague had the Farmers Breakfast. It looked very traditional and well executed. He said he enjoyed it and his Chai Latte. The first time I went to Winslow's I got some takeout and have been wanting to get back since. Finally, I made it back, and of course:expectations exceeded. It is a cozy spot perfect for the family, a date, or just good times with friends. They double as a mini market with house-made goodies, and some provisions from local vendors as well! I went just when they opened for dinner service on a Saturday afternoon(about 4:00 pm) so they weren't busy yet. But, the workers were prepping quite a bit so I know the place gets busy around normal dinner hours. You order at the counter and they give you a number so they can deliver your food once prepared. The workers were super nice. Focused on dinner prep, but still greeting every customer with enthusiasm, and genuine gratitude when departing. I rolled with their pizza. They start with house made focaccia then move on to their house made marinara. Topped with cheese, you can customize the toppings. I added pepperoni, mushrooms, and pickled peppers. The pizza sauce was beautiful, it was a deep red, with a brown tint. Not your average color for pizza sauce, but way more flavorful. The sauce had beautiful depth and tang. The focaccia crust was crispy, but still fluffy. It was delightful. The mushrooms added incredible umami flavor and the peppers a bit of acidity. While this isn't your traditional pizza, it was absolutely magnificent. And, the price point was super fair. Upon glancing at some of the other dishes being ran the burger with tots, and fish tacos look like some insanely delicious offerings as well. With open table seating I'm glad I arrived early to grab a table to fit all of us. I was able to order coffee before everyone arrived. I was excited to see they had oat milk. My son ordered a breakfast burrito. The cashier was helpful and friendly. I was taken back by how pricey however. You have an option to tip and they do bring your food out. Food hit the table in under 15 minutes. My pancakes were really super bad packed with flavor. The blueberry was worth the up charge. Syrup is on the table. My son enjoyed his Buritto. They are not set up for staff to do table checks. I also got a matcha latte which was just okay. Matcha comes unsweetened. I accidentally ordered it hot instead of cold and I don't typically like hot matcha so that was my bad. We are on again off again with Winslow's, as I don't love the order at the counter concept - mainly because the line moves so slow if it's busy and it makes it very stressful since you order and have to just hope a table opens up, I think the menu lends itself to full service. The BLT Wrap had the most fair balance of romaine, bacon, and crispy chicken.
