The light switch in our smaller bathroom failed. We weren't able to turn off the light or fan. It's a rocker type switch that controls the light, fan and heat. I called Steve about a couple of electrical issues I wanted to address. First off, my panel looks incredibly old and it has connections for 3 pool pumps and a heater for an in-ground jacuzzi that was filled in with cement 40 years ago, long before I purchased the house. And 2nd to see if it were possible to split a circuit that covers too many sockets in the house. Steve was completely honest. He was able to see that the circuit in question was wired with Romex and thus he would have to open up walls to run new wires to split it up. He said it would be very pricy. His advise was to split the load connected to the sockets of the circuit. Which is totally possible. Regarding the panel, he pointed out that the panel itself was not overloaded and had plenty of room to expand. So no need to be concerned about upgrading the panel at this time.
