Should've checked the box as there was both red and green pepper on it (only ordered green--see receipt) and I don't think they put garlic on. The pizza here is delicious! I usually do not have much faith in a crispy pizza crust and was so pleased to find that the crust here stayed crispy for easy eating. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza sauce is full of flavor. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a large supreme pizza (added pepperoni). The outside of the building has had a complete makeover and is now grey and is a modern style. There is no sitting area inside the building but they do have two picnic tables and a few lounge chairs outside for dining. The staff is so friendly. This is the best pizza place in the Lemont area. Any time I come home for a visit with my family, I always request a night where we can just stay in and order a pizza from Turnabout. (I think I may have offended my mom when I said she didn't have to cook, but I swear I was just trying to be nice about it!) Turnabout it a tiny little takeout place. There isn't room to eat, socialize, or even really wait there. You need to call ahead, or you need to have them deliver. This way, you're doing it on your own time. Delivery is really the best option, though. Like many pizza places, during hot commodity times (like a Friday night or a holiday) know that it's going to take a little longer. To call in, to get your order, to get a delivery, etc. That's pretty standard for a pizza place, and Turnabout is no exception. Their delicious sauce and plethora of toppings are worth the wait. Hidden in an unassuming spot east of downtown Lemont, Turnabout is a family owned hangout that has been in business for quite some time, as it is a favorite for pizza loving Lemont locals. This aspect was quite obvious as once I entered they were answering many phone orders and there were at least two groups in front of me. I went with their cheese with peppers, onion, and fresh garlic. The price was a bit steep, but the crust and toppings were delicious and definitely worth it. My eldest also tried their pepperoni and I was told it was also very flavorful. The whole family enjoyed Turnabout! We shall return! read more

Met some friends who live out this way and ordered from this place after hearing rave reviews. What I liked about it is that it's not a sweet sauce! We ordered a veggie pizza and a gluten free pizza which I have to say looked absolutely delicious due to the well done cracker thin appearance which was right up my alley. From what I was told it's better than their original but I didn't try it. It was for my friend who ordered it specifically for her. No pics either. Sorry. No ambiance. I have been enjoying turnabout for over 20 years. I moved out of the area in 2008 and any time I get close to lemont I alway order a pizza.. maybe even 2 pizzas. Haha it freezes and reheats great! This place is small and I recommend being patient, they are BUSY AF and working their asses off. Perfect example I ordered this afternoon for a pickup at 5:30. Got there at 5:30 and there was a mix up, one of my pizzas went missing. Literally not a big deal!! downtown lemont is nostalgic for me and I enjoy any time I spend Down there. The poor guys, in between checking out customers, making pizzas, boxing he was apologizing profusely. I assured him I didn't mind waiting, pizza took an extra 10-12 mins. This has been a lemont staple for almost 50 years now. Pizza is great especially when ordered well done. So many great memories from this place ordering delivery when I had sleep overs as a kid all the time. Service is great never got a pizza order wrong. The fall of this place has been long and frustrating, but it is sadly a fact. Family has ordered from here for well over 30 years. The claim will always be that they have not changed the recipe since the sale of business. Even if I believed that(I don't), there is also a SERIOUS quality control issue, simply put they do not seem to care. If you are lucky, you can get their pizza at its best, and when you do, it id among the best you can get, but after a number of tries I can say you only have a 20% chance of getting their pizza at its best. Far too often the pizza will be under cooked, in some case with nearly raw dough, over cooked and burnt, or any number of issues. This in itself would not be that bad, because they are certainly better than any of the national chains. But you would need to ignore fact their are at least half a dozen, or more, better pizza local places dotted in and around Lemont. From Papa in Woodridge, to Lou Malnati's in Homer their are places where you can get a superior pizza. Heck, staying 100% local Rosati's, Wooden Paddle, and Digs(Gelsosomo's ) offer a more consistent and better pizza. To make matters worse, they do have members of their staff that our grossly unprofessional, if they do happen across a negative review on a social media site, some members will harass and try to intimidate you. In the end, it is possible to get a good pizza, but it is a roll of the dice. You are better off going else where and avoiding the headache and disappointment. read more
