Wrong order and no masks I ordered online for pickup there on July 19th. What struck me as odd, as no one working was wearing a mask. It's a SMALL place and there was close to ten people crammed in there working - none wearing a mask. Now, if this doesn't bother you, then you can ignore this remark. To each there own. (And it does get hot in there, I understand, but come on!) But, they did mess my order - three times. First, when I arrived on time, they told me they never printed up my order. Nice. It would be another 25 minutes - but they told me they would take a percentage off. Came later, they gave my order and said not to worry about it. Never mind I already prepaid online. Was about to walk out, when I notice they just gave me the pizza I paid for and not the 2 orders of Bosco Sticks I paid for. The counter person reach under the counter, and said, oh, here you go. I got out quick, as with the customers and workers, there had to be close to 15 people in there (again VERY small) and I was the only one wearing a mask. Needless to say, got about five minutes and notice they gave me ONE order of Bosco sticks, not the TWO I ordered. Next day, both my son and daughter woke up with fevers - we all got tested and were negative. Now, I am NOT saying that the pizza caused it all. But it was a verrrry odd coincidence. read more

Pizza is great! I love the fluted edge crust as well as the sweet sauce. It is a ride for me to get there so I would really appreciate if the phone person would give an accurate pick-up time! I've lived in Lemont for 15 years now and have always loved Turnabout's pizza until a few weeks go.... We ordered pizza on a Wednesday night and they apparently forgot our order (That is what they said on the phone) and finally our pizza came 3 hours later with the middle piece missing. I was shocked and so was my family. Either they just gave us some random pizza because they forgot our order or the drive ate it which is disgusting. A few weeks later I decided to give them another try and I ordered Bosco sticks and mostacioli. An hour and a half later I called to ask about my order and I heard the ladies talking in the back saying they forgot about it and would be at my house in 5 minutes so it was just sitting there waiting to be taken which is also gross. We really really love this pizza but our last two experiences have not been the best. read more

Ordered a pizza and beef sandwich for delivery last night. The guy on the phone said it would be 45 mins. An hour and a half later I called and asked where my food was, the guy says to me," oh yeah we messed up the order so we had to remake it, it's in the oven now." Wow. Bad customer service. I did get half off my order for the mess up after he spoke to the manager . Which was a positive. But if I owned a restaurant I wouldn't run it like this. That's just my two cents. read more

Last summer I went to the quarry w my friends, got so drunk and I was gonna piss my pants and these lovely folks were so kind as to let me use their restroom that isn't open to the public which really saved the day cause I was ready to blow. Pretty awesome thin crust pizza! I'm new to the area and SUPER picky about pizza. I like it super thin, crispy and not overcooked but not undercooked-told ya I was picky! I've tried Gelsasamos, Jimbos, and a few other smaller ones in town and was highly disappointed-either too thick of 'thin' crust, too much oregano, too burnt, ect but this place pretty much nailed it! let me begin by saying that my family has done business with turnabout for over 35 years . rarely if any , had a issue . a few days ago i ordered a party size , sausage , mushroom , onion and pepper for pick up . i always order about the same . i ask for ez cheese , no edge , and WELL DONE . i gave turnabout a 1 1/2 hour lead time to prepare for my pick up . i showed up on time and at a cost of 42.00 there about i left . i did have 20 coupons and the price was adjusted . all good so far . i was feeding a crew working for me . when we started on this food it was warm , not really done , let alone well done , and it was a sloppy mess . i did not have time at that point to deal with that situation . i sent my wife to lemon tree and we continued to work . 2 days later when i was able , i went into the store and started off by saying what had happened . in a very civil tongue . within a few minutes the whole staff was listening to my story . the receipt was pulled up and there was no mention of cooking the order well done . my reply was ," i have always forever ordered well done pies . i was being stone walled at this time . like i was the bad guy , the complaining customer . which never happened in 35 years of doing business with them . so now here comes the arrogant son of the owner . self described . he defiantly , stood in front of me and said " there are people starving that would eat that pie , and this was two days ago ". he was demeaning and disrespectful . no offer to replace the order in the future , or anything . i felt like it was a who gives a dam situation . i told him that i will never order again . did not phase him . he stood there like a small tyrant demanding i had no reason to be there . well , so be it . turn the page . by the way , on this order i was put on hold for a brief time and repeated my order twice . no more for us . read more

Love this place! Had birthday pizzas ordered from here and it turned out perfect! Got 5 family pizzas and 5 orders of Bosco sticks. For those of us that grew up in Lemont- we know that soccer games, other sports events, birthdays or other kids parties would not be complete without a few trips a year to Turnabout. I ate there many times - and it is pizza- Jon Stewart expectation pizza- you can hold it in 1 hand - not deep dish. For a kid it is great- for a family - it is dinner and what do you want on your pizza night. Well, ok turnabout pizza. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the sauce used on the pizza. It was way too sweet for MY taste. Pulling in the lot I parked right next to the dumpster which was overflowing with empty bags of all purpose flour. Totally a good sign. Shows it's homemade. Going inside the young men behind the counter were very friendly. There was an older guy who works there that was on his cell phone cursing and carrying on some kind of weird conversation. I wasn't eavesdropping but the place is so tiny inside it's hard to not hear someone on their phone cursing. My order was ready on time and the pizza box literally had steam coming out of it. Totally awesome. I drove home and tried it out. It's not the first time I have had a hand twisted crust. It wasn't the best as it did get kind of hard when you got to the edge of the crust due to the rolling. The ingredients were awesome and I loved the bacon I ordered on top of it. Non of that pre made crap here. I just wish there were more sauce on it and the sauce was less sweet. I won't leave this place under four stars just because I didn't care for the sauce. It's a solid pizza joint with for the most part, a friendly staff. I would go back to try some other items. read more

The staff are so wonderful, you can tell they put a lot of love into their pizzas.. when we host guests from out of town, or I have my parents over to visit we always call Turnabout. I have always loved Turnabout's pizza. After being a patron for 15 years, last night (5/9/20) was the last time (kind of, since there was no real transaction). Two hours after ordering (told it would be 1 hour and 20 minutes) and after waiting in their parking lot for 50 minutes, I was rudely told my pizza had a hole in it and handed cash (from my credit card charge which had a $5 tip on it). The employee told me they were busy as he walked away while I attempted to discuss this with him. Wouldn't you give a customer something like a coupon for a free pizza or something in this situation? 5/12 - Instead, they charged my credit card the amount including the tip - I just got back from picking up the $5 cash because they couldn't credit my card. I believe they recently changed ownership; things started changing with the pizza quality and the promised wait times last fall. read more

I ordered a pizza from here for me and my friends about a week ago. We loved it! We got a large pepperoni pizza. It was cut into squares. Delicious. We ate it hot and when it became room temperature and it was still wonderful. Also, I ordered it and picked it up 1.5 hours late... it was still hot! Thanks Turnabout Pizza! I don't like giving bad reviews, but twice it's happened that our pizza was awful. It's not the sauce, or the toppings that are bad, but the way it was "put together". When I got home and opened the box, there was a BIG blob of cheese that when you picked up a slice, everything slid off the crust. Couldn't even see or taste the other toppings. Asked for well done...wasn't anything close. Also, was told that it would be ready in an hour. After arriving over an hour later, I was standing with 3 other people who were waiting longer than me, ( almost 30 minutes). If Turnabout is soooo busy, and can't make a proper pie, then they'll have one less customer. I'm going to give Turnabout one more try, and really hope that the last two times were just flukes. read more

Let me start by confessing that I am a very particular pizza junkie. I've driven past Turnabout probably a thousand times and finally decided to give it a shot. When I walked in and saw the old school pizza ovens, I knew I was in for a treat. The pizza is delicious and was cooked to perfection. I ordered pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. The sauce is a bit in the sweeter side compared to most, but provides a good contrast to the salty meats. i am not a big fan of the rolled crusts in general, but that will not deter me from going back. The staff was incredibly polite. Not sure if its a family run business, but that's the vibe I got. It would be nice if they had some beers in the fridge to sip on while waiting for your order. We make special trips for this pizza because its that good. We got married in Lemont and our wedding coordinator recommended giving it a try. We liked it so much that we ordered it for our late night snacks! The pizza is very affordable. The crust is braided which makes it unique. The staff and owners are very nice, very helpful. There is not anywhere to sit, is more of a grab-and-go place. Make sure to get your order in well ahead of time, the wait is usually between 45 min-1 hour and 15 minutes, especially on weekend evenings. This place rocks and you have to check it out! read more
