Lived in Homer Glen for 21 years. Never once have I gotten pizza from Enzo's until last Saturday night. The bartender couldn't have been nicer as I was waiting for my pizzas. When I got home they were unbelievable! These pizzas were crisp, tasty, classy, and you could tell the quality was excellent! I have no idea why we never ordered this pizza before. There pizza is a thin crust, ​except for this Friday where is was almost see through and because is was so thin it was dry and gross, and a waste of $42. First time trying Enzo's, but I am not too thrilled about it. I went with their $13.99 16 inch coupon special for 5 hungry, Pokemon and video game loving, ten year old boys. While the coupon seemed like a deal, I was actually surprised after I brought it home. It was done. Very done. I believe that may have frightened the boys a bit, as they only ate a few slices. Meanwhile, I also tried a slice. I hate burnt pizza, but for some odd reason it didn't taste burnt. Which can be a good thing. However, the issue that truly got me was the paper thin crust. It was super, duper thin. Way too thin for my liking as I felt I was eating overdone air. My husband enjoyed it, and for the price paid I suppose it was reasonable. In the deepest east corner plaza of Homer Glen lies some of the best tavern style, thin crust pizza I have ever had! Of course, I ordered the usual (don't want to sound like a broken record). We tried 1/2 price Enzos pizza tonight.. I had high hopes for this place after hearing some good things about the pizza. We ordered an 18inch Sausage. We got it home, upon 1st glance the pizza was definitely overcooked. After taking a few bites my husband and I agree we were disappointed. Pizza was hard and overdone, it tasted like it was stale. #58/2023 Over 20 years of this location in Homer Glen and I've never been there until a few weeks ago. Driven by it seen it never ordered a pie from them. What have I been missing? This is your classic style Chicago thin crust cracker crunchy kind of place that many people grew up with around here think Father and son recently closed on the north side, over on the South side off of Pulaski the very well known Vito and Nick's. One thing to know though about classic Chicago thin is there may be some burnt stuff on the crust because that's just how it is People griping and complaining and other reviews about it but that's something you have to know you're talking about a very thin pizza in a very hot oven. What's nice about here I found out is not only do they have 50% off pies on Tuesday for walk-in and Togo. They also have a small little dining area more of a bar setting but they do have tables by the locals hang out here it seems So having been a regular when it comes to my local area when I want to thick thin crust I go with beggars. When I want a nice deep dish I usually go with good ole Lou Malnati's. While the classic Chicago thin before they moved out here but their pastas are still good was Chesdans but unfortunately they changed to me also also. Now and I want a classic style Chicago thin this will be my go-to place I ordered two pizzas I was really surprised with 50% off $24 out the door but you couldn't beat it Got a large sausage cuz can put it away lol and a small veggie no onion and sliced tomato. Sometimes they run a little longer on orders in the kitchen they told me to be about 30 minutes I ran over to da Jewels to do a little bit of shoppin real quick came back it wasn't quite done was about 40 minutes. One thing to know though I see in a lot of reviews sometimes they get it cold because delivery does take a little bit and it is a very thin pizza. They do have a thicker crust but they're known for this thin pizza here Chicago Classic I got it home it was nice and piping hot there was a nice little bit of crunch on top of the sausage pizza to the crust it was delicious and like I said it's been here for over 20 years and first time been there but definitely going to be returning. Even if I just Cruise in and have a pie myself and a beer. Although they are not open on Mondays currently they are closed they're open the other days of the week. This is relatively easy to write as the employees of Enzo's have basically written it for me. A touch of history first. I stopped at Enzo's for lunch pretty close to the time it originally opened. A very simple order of wings and a drink turned into over forty minutes of frustration to the point that I asked my order be changed to carry-out. I didn't go back. Fast forward to this past autumn when we attended an evening birthday party. Bar like atmosphere which was fine, relatively good service for as much as the employees got involved, but the pizza was really good. I mean I enjoyed each type I tasted and dug the crispy crust. I got to the point where I asked myself what have I've been missing all these years. Until...I saw who I assumed to be the owner dress down an employee in front of a group of us. That was for taking the time to answer a question and exchange a few pleasantries. That was totally out of line and quite inappropriate. A decent owner / manager would tell the employee there are things that need to be done, and bring up this major crime after hours. I didn't go back. Today I had a jones for a really good pizza. Homer Glen is not known as the pizza capital of Chicagoland but I remembered Enzo's. I bit the bullet and called and before the employee even finished the words "Enzo's, please hold" I was placed on hold. No big thing, everyone does it, but the problem was that she didn't come back. I waited two minutes, which I think was sufficient, and called back, and placed my order with someone who seemed to whisper. Not understanding a word, I just told what I wanted, gave my name and was told my wait time. I arrived ten minutes before the due time and am glad I did as my pizza was already waiting for me. No smile, no "hello", just "pick up?", and she was gone. While waiting, the fellow I guessed to be the owner (and the fellow who gave the employee grief) walked up behind the counter. Nothing said, he didn't even acknowledge me. A woman employee came up, same thing. Not a peep out of her, she didn't even look up at me. I was thankful to pay my bill and beat feet, thinking that the girl I was dealing with could have at least uttered thanks. On my way out to the car I passed two adult males and a teenage girl sitting outside, but after at least four utterances of "fuckin' " I got out of there. At least a couple of those were from the "owner" himself. After all that, man, was that pizza tasty. That was the taste I remember from the party. I love the thin crust (not soggy at all), the very slightly charred look and taste of the cheese and a sauce that doesn't jump out at you. It was everything I remembered eating at various Chicago south side restaurants. The only thing that would have made it better was if I'd gotten it fresh out of the oven. How many of you remember your pizza being so hot that you got that feeling of the ultra hot pizza shredding the roof of your mouth? This could have been a four star review, but depending on how I felt, could also have been a two star. Attitude and some semblance of friendliness are so important, why can't business owners understand that? read more

This was my first time trying Enzo's thin crust pizza and it was fantastic. My 15 yrs old son said it was crispy and delicious. Prices was very reasonable. I ordered the 24" pizza and it was huge but more leftovers for tomorrow night. Owner was very nice due to a little mistake and the girl even opened the door for me. Dropped in to order a pizza on a Friday evening. Staff was very polite and attentive, and took care of everything quickly. I had a few Miller Lites on draft while I waited and the pizza came out earlier than expected. They kept it warm for me on the oven while I finished up the second ice cold Miller Lite.
