Kaycee just loved the team over at Four Pretty Paws!…read more We came upon their tent at the Bark in the Park event in beautiful Tower Grove and they were just a great presence to have there next to the farmers market. They gave us a free nail trim and a complementary bandanna and Kaycee girl was all smiles. Great crew there and thank you for your service to our animals!

Oh my gosh, I had my dog groomer my four pretty paws. And the first time they said I wasn't home. I…read morewas home but they didn't ring the door bell. Cost me $125.00. The second time my dog was groomed for $125.99 And I tipped around $25.00. I received a text asking for a review. Well my dog. Was hacked like a custom cuts hack. And for this money, you'd expect a rockstar Grooming. I know it's only a dog, but he was literally hacked and it took a month to grow out again. Then I took him to Lola And Ponelopies today. He now looks like a male dog model. I hardly recognized him when he came out because he looked like a pure border terrier like you'd see on a puppy brochure. When I had him groomed with four, Pretty Paws, I was asked to give them a review. I did and the owner called me and literally argued with me about my review and was extremely derogatory. I hung up and he actually called back to argue again and I didn't answer. This is why I decided to write this review if you're interested in for Pretty Paws for three times the cost of good luck. It's a waste of money for a hack Haircut for your beautiful dog or cat or squirrel or rat. The best to share with you a $50 Grooming versus $125 Grooming and a much better quality for $50 at Lola And Ponelopies in Clayton or in town and country. I was hesitant to share the secret with you because it's tough to get an appointment there. If you want to get lazy and do for Pretty Paws go for it but expect a heck job. oh legally, this is only my opinion.

The first time we thought they did a good job. However our girl is very old and she came home with…read moresome diarrhea and seemed a little stressed but we didn't think much of it because a grooming experience is kind of a lot for a 15 year old dog, and it takes time to get used to any new groomer. The second time our appointment was right at opening time and they were nearly 15 minutes late showing up to even open the doors. (Totally unprofessional but I tried to be understanding as I was told their child was sick.) The main problem came when we got her back she was absolutely trembling, and she had diarrhea again as soon as she got home, where it also became apparent that they had done a rather shoddy job with the "sanitary" part of her comfort cut, also neglecting to trim her nails. It honestly looked like all they did was fluff and trim her ears and face and put one of those bows on her. The next day her rear end looked so incredibly red and uncomfortable that I took her to the vet immediately, who said her anal glands hadn't been expressed in quite some time... She implied that perhaps it had been attempted, but wasn't done properly and was causing our dog a lot of discomfort. Anal gland expressing and nail trims should be a standard part of any groom. This place simply didnt do the job they were paid to do, twice, and we also suspect they are kind of rough with the animals as our girl hasn't shaken after a groom since we changed groomer. Edit: The owner asked me to remove this review because it is "unfair" and I suspect they do the same with all their less than favorable reviews as their only reviews besides mine are very old. They also claimed that they do not, and have never expressed anal glands, yet the service is listed on their website as included in a standard groom. So I assure you (owner as well as fellow yelpers) this is my honest review and experience and I am not trying to ruin anybody, simply warn other people that we did not get anywhere near the level of service we paid for at this establishment, and our poor dog suffered for it.

This is Courtney Frazzetta owner of Oakley Frazzetta. The male white golden doodle who digs/plays…read morein the water bowl. I just want to start off by saying that I am pretty disappointed in the staff and owner. We have been bringing him here since August of 2022. I know he was first in the Toy box room and has transitioned to the Gym room now. It seems like he started doing this when he was placed in the bigger room with the bigger dogs. But honestly, I don't know because no one communicated to me that he was doing this. We started to notice it when we picked him up and his feet were wet. Everyone at the front desk just acted like it was no big deal. So fast forward to March of 2023 and I sent an email to you all about why Oakley was being put in "timeout." Well turns out that the digging/playing in the water bowl is still happening and is getting worse. So you all ask about instating your three step process and I give you permission to do so. "We can also instate our three step process, where after the first incident we have them sit at our feet for 30 seconds, then after the second incident we walk them on a slip lead , and if it happens again THEN he would get the crate break." I have watched/recorded the webcams and the three step process is not a thing. All of the canine coaches are just done with my dog and he gets put in the crate immediately. Also, can someone explain to me why some of these canine coaches walk around the room with two metal bowls and bang them together? Or run a metal bowl across the top of the crate? I don't understand that and it doesn't seem like something a lot of dogs would like. So here we are today May 10, 2023 and I get a text message that "Oakley is taking an extended break right now" and "It seems like a game to him and we have used all the corrections & redirections that we are able to in this environment." I was told to call and basically was told that myself and Oakley should look elsewhere. So that is what we will do. I understand the annoyance of him digging/playing in the water bowl, but I don't see any real problem with it. He is a one year old puppy. We did 2 weeks of training at this facility and 8 weeks to prepare for his Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Advance test, which he passed. Kit and Alex the trainers are awesome. He is not a bad dog. He just loves water! The bottom line is all of the canine coaches got tired of my dog. He was punished by being put in the crate any where between 10-40 minutes all because he was digging/playing in the water bowl. We were paying to have our dog socialized and he was not. If we wanted him to be in a crate all day, then we would have just kept him at home. It's just a shame that there was a lack of communication and broken promises. I wish the owner would have responded to my email, but here I am posting a Google Review that I am sure he will respond too. I hope you are able to find staff members that truly are dog people and care for them as if they were their own. I attached photos of bowls being banged together and Oakley always in the crate. P.S. We have already found a new place and they have little pools for him to play in! - Courtney & Mike Frazzetta
