I'll caveat this review by noting that I've used B&E for both my home and business for the past…read more2.5yrs and while their customer service can be lacking depending on the technician you speak with, their service has always been timely. However, we recently had an incident concerning a B&E employee who brought along an unauthorized person, which led to some of my power tools going missing. The employee brought this fellow along on a service call to my business. To be clear, this fellow was NOT an employee of B&E. I have several cameras in my business and video footage shows the individual tampering with one of my cameras and taking advantage of the time he had alone in my storage area while the employee took care of collecting payment for services. It is possible that the employee himself had no idea this was occurring, however, he brought this individual along and with that, comes a level of responsibility for this whole debacle. The problem was quickly resolved by the owner, Michael Morgensen, who took full responsibility for the actions of his employee and the fellow who was unauthorized to be there. There was no need for litigation, but as a lesson I'd like to pass on to you: please be sure to ask your service techs to show credentials or provide proof that all persons are authorized to be there and always monitor them to the best of your abilities.

B&E installed both of my HVAC units and I think several years ago this may have been a good…read morecompany. My 5 ton downstairs unit went out in January while still under warranty. It was out for over a week with B&E making four different trips to repair it. 1st trip Mr. Morgensen pulled a small low voltage fuse out and left. Said he did not have the part with him. Second trip, Michael put the fuse back in and changed a relay (part under warranty) . Charged me $308 labor. Still didn't work. Third trip Michael swapped wires around on the thermostat and said the wire needed to be changed on the thermostat. Still didn't work. Fourth trip, two other men, likely trainees, came out and changed thermostat wire. They left saying they could not get it to work. B&E called me and said Michael and Mr. Morgensen would be out the following day to figure out the problem. I told them not to bother and I called another company. The other company came out and the two men found a bare wire shorting out on the compressor (blowing the low voltage fuse) and the new thermostat wire B&E put in was wired wrong. It took them just over two hours to make the repairs. For the last ten days it has worked great.

I asked you to cancel that agreement and refund my money and you stated I had already used the bulk of the service agreement and you would only refund $375. When they came to our appointment, a few days later, we were quoted $450 to unclog our drain and tried to sell a few things to us that were not necessary. We ended up unclogging the drain for free by ourselves (seems to be a very common problem with a very simple fix if you have a shop vac).
