I am very fearful of bugs. We have been using Fahey for years. I went into my kitchen and a huge black bug was in cabinet. It was probably driven inside due to the heavy rains. Fahey sent someone out and he knowing that I was fearful took the dishes out of my cabinet and searched for the bug. He proceeded to treat the area and my garage. As unnerving as this situation can be their service was stellar from the salesman, Vincent to the office personnel and the crew. The price was reasonable and they did an amazing job! As a Property Manager with Central Park Realty, I regularly use Hobson's for my rental properties and highly recommend their services. Recently we have been dealing with a rodent problem at one of our rental properties. After Hobson's sealed all of the access points, we still experienced issues with the rodents getting into the attic, I personally met their met their Technician at the property and they had several baited traps in place and per Hobson's contract they requested a smoke test for the property to determine if there were any open points in the plumbing system that would allow the rodents access to the property. Before the plumber did the smoke test, they were able to identify where the rodents were gaining access into the property. The problem was a vent stack inside the wall & attic that had separated. The property was replumbed/re-piped in March of 2019 by a different plumber and they were able to repair the vent stack under the warranty. Hobson's went through the normal procedures to identify and address the problem and now that we know where and how the rodents are getting in, I am confident Hobson's will resolve this issue. read more

Minna, the woman who answered the phone & then sent an email with pic of her and the sales person Mike that was coming to my house was friendly and professional. No pressure from Mike on the sales side...very knowledgeable and made the process seamless. The cherry on the Sundae was Pete the bug guy...super friendly and knows his stuff. After being told by two well-known pest control companies in our area that we had bed bugs and that it would cost thousands of dollars to get rid of them, I called Fahey Pest Control for a final evaluation. In spite of calling late on a Friday afternoon, they were able to squeeze us into the Saturday schedule. Leslie, the technician, did a thorough examination of the home and found that we DID NOT have bed bugs and would not need to be tented and fumigated. In fact, we were not even charged for that initial visit!! Leslie was extremely knowledgeable and completely put our fears to rest. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for pest control! The office took my information in within two hours a inspector named John arrived. He arrived and every aspect of the interaction was of the highest standards. After doing business with this company for 5 years, I've had a very bad experience and will no longer use them. In April of this year I received a contract from them to sign. I assumed it was the annual pay-in-advance option for the basic pest service we'd been getting four times a year. I paid up front, or so I thought. This week Hobson's came out and did the second quarter treatment. I then got an invoice showing I'd been charged $90, so I sent an email explaining that I'd already paid for the year and asking to have the charge removed. The woman in the office told me that it was rat prevention renewal I had paid for, not the usual pest treatment. I explained that we didn't have rats and that I hadn't realized that's what I had signed up for, and all I wanted was the usual pest treatment. She simply said over and over that I had signed a contract. This is the kind of blood-pressure-raising treatment we have little choice over when it comes to our big utilities, but we don't have to put up with it in a local mom-and-pop business. I'll be looking for a different pest service. read more
