In Sept 2021 I called because I needed a new tub drain. I asked for a pop up for ease. What I received was the wrong drain the twist one. I had to pay for a service call that is 6 times the cost of a new one. I spoke with Watco and they said it was installed incorrectly. This one requires a wrench and a flathead screw driver each time to clean the drain. Why would they installed this model for a 78 year old to disassemble to clean the drain When I asked for the right model they insisted I would have to be charged again! I'm giving them two stars instead of one because the owner ultimately made good on the price and I got a new water heater in one day. However, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I called yesterday because my water heater was leaking. The lady on the phone said they could get someone out the next day, which was great and I scheduled it. She further explained that if the water heater was leaking from the bottom it would likely have to be replaced, but if it was leaking from the top it might be repairable and that they would only know when they got out here to look at it. Call me crazy, but I assumed someone would show up the next day, look at the water heater, and let me know whether it needed to be repaired or replaced and give me a cost estimate. Instead, I got an early morning phone call from someone who said he was on his way to my condo with a new water heater. Confused, I called the office and talked to the lady I spoke with yesterday. She was defensive and stated that it was their normal practice to bring a water heater just in case it needed to be replaced. That seemed really odd to me, but okay. Then she proceeded to scold me for not telling her I lived on the second floor... Which I had absolutely told her the day before. She even asked if there was an elevator. And rather than just say that she didn't recall asking that, she seemed to want to argue about it. Since the water heater was coming and I felt that the likelihood was it would have to be replaced, I asked her about the cost and the brand of water heater. She said it was a Ruud 80 gallon water heater and the cost was $1600. She went on to say that the labor would normally be $434, but since I live on the second floor, my total cost with labor would likely be around $2100. I had done some research on my own and this seemed reasonable, but I still expected the technician to verify whether or not my existing water heater could be repaired, before installing the new one. When he got here, the technician brought the new water heater to the second floor and explained that he had been told to replace my current water heater. Since it is 20 years old, I decided not to press the issue and just let him replace it, based on the $2100 estimate I had been given. When he was finished, the technician came in and told me the total cost was $2592. I knew the $2100 was an estimate and that the labor might vary by a few dollars, but I didn't expect a full $500 more than the estimate. So, I told the technician what I had been quoted. He acted very confused and said that they had a flat rate for 80 gallon water heaters and it was $2592. What?! A flat rate? Why wouldn't the lady in the office who communicates with the customers know about a flat rate? Why would she give me a cost breakdown of the amount of the water heater and the labor that was $500 less? This was especially frustrating, considering that if I had not pressed for a price, the technician was sent to replace my water heater, no questions asked. No diagnostic visit... No options... No quote. Just replace it with no communication to me on the cost, if I hadn't pressed for it. The technician explained that the lady I have been speaking to was no longer in the office and that he couldn't call her. I stuck to my guns and refused to pay $2592. He called the owner and the owner called him back shortly and agreed to let me pay $2200. In the end, I feel that the cost was reasonable, but the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. They should've been much more transparent with me and the lady in the office desperately needs customer service training. This just happened, so I can't speak to the quality of the work. I assume that the water heater is fine and will work just fine. I'm happy to have gotten it repaired within 24 hours. And, in the end, the owner backed up the price I was quoted. But, due to the lack of transparency and customer service, I would not use this company again. read more

First time using Turner and definitely not the last. I bought a new water heater from Lowe's to replace my old one that was on its last leg. Lowe's came out and gave me an estimate for the install and charged me $35.00 for just the estimate. Their install quote was absolutely ridiculous to replace an electric heater with the same size electric heater, so called Turner to get a second opinion. Lowe's also was horrid in the order process and I had to call multiple times just to have them tell me they couldn't find the water heater I bought from them, and then miraculously it shows up 30 minutes later. When I went to pick it up, they couldn't find any of the paperwork so just let me take it and hand wrote a pick up receipt. Just horrible. Turner quoted their rates over the phone and got me on the schedule that week. Their techs Zach and John showed up right on time and finished the job before lunch. They didn't charge me for any BS labor or parts I didn't need, and worked efficiently and hauled off my old clunker after testing the new unit to make sure everything was right and it worked. We needed a back flow installed before having a irrigation system put in and I decided to called this place base on the reviews. What a mess. I made an appointment to have someone come out and was told that I would not get an estimate until 2 days after the person comes to my home. That doesn't really make sense but whatever. The day of the appointment I was called and left a voicemail asking if the appointment could get pushed back an hour, again doesn't make sense since I told them I was not going to be home for the estimate in the first place and that no one was needed to be present for them to look at my yard. I called the day after the guy came to see if they have an estimate considering he was on my property for only about 5 minutes (checked security footage) and was told he was not in the building at the moment and that someone would call me back. That was the last of it and haven't heard from them since. I'm going steer clear of this place for ALL my plumbing needs. They don't seem to be very reliable especially if they can't seem to get their ship together. read more

If you're looking for an affordable, professional, and timely plumbing company, look no further! I had a main line clog that I was unable to clear myself with a rented 50 ft auger. (Lesson learned. Leave it to the professionals) We thought we needed to use a camera to see what was causing our drain issue, but Turner plumbing was able to clear the line properly and within 45 minutes which saved us money. They also didn't charge extra for bringing the camera since they didn't need to use it. Very grateful for the honesty and quality work provided from this company and their employees. read more

Not only was their quote lower, the scope of work they ended up doing involved accessing a vent on roof of our two story house to snake the drain. The vendor is a theft - Mr. Turner himself quoted a price of 375,00 to replace a toilet bowl and then turned around and charge 519.80 starting he had to return twice. I have never thought a toilet bowl can cost so much and by no means is it gold. I live at the Ocean Gallery and this plumber I heard some a good amount of work in this complex - whatever you do DO NOT hire this theft - This owner was requested to talk to me and as of this message and the service 0n 7.13 has not responded. Arrived 15 minutes after the 2-hour scheduled window. I wasn't too upset by this because i understand a job can go over what's scheduled. The guys were polite and seemed competent in unclogging my drain line. Big surprise when they padded the bill for an extra 30-minutes (+$62). Claimed service call includes 15 minutes driving. So really your first hour at $124 is reall only 45 minutes. This was never explained when i called for pricing. One star because they finished within the 45 minutes and still charged for an hour and a half. I made them call the office as I disputed the bill. Manager confirmed GPS arrival at 1:11pm (was 1:15 by my watch), they were finished, packed and presented my bill at 2:03pm and still charged $188 (1.5 hours). Scammers read more

I fired Turner Blundering! Here's the Saga- Our master shower handle broke off so there was water streaming from both the shower head as well as the handle shaft. I had to cut off the main water valve outside to stop the flow (5 gals every 15 minutes). Called my home warranty company and they assigned Turner Plumbing Co. A couple days later they arrived and after approx 1.5 hr assessment by two personnel the lead technician informed me that they would need to replace the handle cartridge(Moen-$85) and also cut out the tile around the handle and replace the valve assembly inside the wall. Their Cust Svc Rep then got back to me a day later to say the repair would be under warranty except for having to replace/glue back in place the cut out tile area around the handle which Turner does not do. Realizing I had the Moen original installed fixtures warranty I contacted them, sent some pictures from my phone for reference. The Moen Tech said I only needed to replace the cartridge, and no sawing or valve replacement was necessary. Moen shipped the cartridge to me with 2 day delivery for free. So I relayed that information to the Turner Customer Service rep so she scheduled the follow-up visit ( "owner supplying the parts") another two days later. So then the same lead tech and a new helper came, and after spending about an hour and a half again, making multiple trips back and forth outside while on the phone (I suspect rookie training here), the Tech informed me that despite all their efforts and replacement of the cartridge that I had supplied, there was still water leaking from the shower head. He then indicated it was due to the fact I did not authorize them to cut out the tile and replace the valve assembly like he originally diagnosed (via phone perhaps?) He said he was sorry but had to leave to another appt and for me to call Customer Service to determine a fix. He did appear to feel bad for me, but "Leaks be damned!" he had another appt scheduled. So there I sit, again with a leaking shower head, after two visits and approximately 3 hours of Turner time in my house--yikes?!?!? So Customer Service calls me back approximately a day later (don't forget- I'm still running outside to turn on and off the main valve everytime we need to have water) she informed me that there's only so many hours authorized by my warranty company to fix the problem, and also since I did not authorize the cutting out of the wall and valve replacement that any additional service time over the warranty allotment would be borne by me( at $90/hr). So I asked her how many hours were authorized and where do we stand on the time clock for the use of those allocated hours. She did not know and told me she'd have to research and get back to me. She got back to me the next day, and LUCKY ME!, there was 1.25 hrs left of the warranty allocation( of course trip time would eat up half that...), so the repair estimate was somewhere north of $200. OK, so if you are wondering, this has now been about EIGHT days, where we have a leaking shower head that won't stop and we have to run in and out to the outside of the garage to turn on and off the main valve. Remember- everytime we turn it back on for toilets, sink, etc, there's about 5 gals every 15 minutes just running down the drain in our master bath. So I did what I should have done after the first visit. I called my warranty company back to complain. I told them I had zero confidence in Turn-No's capability and in reality, they should remove them from their service provider list for shoddy response and poor technical proficiency. The Warranty Company Cust Svc Rep was aghast, and stated that I should have been assigned the "Emergency" category for repair due to the constant leak. She assigned API Action Plumbing(386-506-9725) around 11:30 am, and they came out at 6pm. Their technician spent 30 minutes resetting the cartridge and it was fixed- no leaks! I hugged him! He showed me what the most likely culprit was with the leak- there was a jerry- rigged pin that had been crudely shaped to resemble the cartridge hold down slot pin and it would not seat properly in the cartridge channels, hence water flowed through the gaps and up to the shower head. A 30 minute fix! Same Day! Thank you API Action Plumbing(386-506-9725)! John epilogue-- Oh, the next day I received a voicemail from the TurNOT Customer Service Rep asking when I wanted to schedule them to come out and fix the problem.... read more

My family and I moved to Jacksonville about three months ago. We have had several plumbing issues in our home including 2 sewer main clogs and a slab leak. Turner Plumbing was quick to respond in each situation providing friendly and quality work in our home. Most recently, we noticed water coming in under my daughters room and in the bathroom. Of course, this happened on a Sunday. After calling Turner, they arrived at my home an hour later diagnosing the problem and giving us a couple of different solutions for repair. We opted to replumb the entire home through the attic, rather than waiting for another copper pipe under the slab to burst, and flood. Luli and multiple other team members got started bright and early Tuesday morning, and had our water back on by Thursday afternoon. They really did a terrific job and explained everything they were doing as they went along. After having to make multiple holes in walls and tile throughout the house to reroute pipes, Turner had those repairs done quickly, so that our home was back to normal by Saturday. Not only did this company charge me for 2 hours of labor and the plumber was only there for a little under an hour (if you can even count that considering he used the bathroom when he was there and we chatted for at least 15 minutes) but we hired them to fix a leak under the kitchen sink and hook up the dishwasher for our mothers rental property. We just moved some tenants in and they used the dishwasher for the first time today... it is leaking ALL over the floor. So not only did I get overcharged on the labor rate for an hour but they also did not do the job correctly and then of course can't come back to the property to fix their mess up till 3 days later....
