Turning Point is always a great experience, and great for breakfast/brunch. Jodie was friendly and took care of us.

My husband and I went here last monday for breakfast. I got the banana bourbon pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. My husband got the chocolate berry pancakes and the Huevos Rancheros. The pancakes were ok,could have been better for how expensive they were. I loved the bourbon syrup, however there was very little bananas on my cakes, not even half of a banana. and they were on top of the pancakes and not cooked into the pancakes. When I asked for more syrup, I was given regular maple syrup and not the bourbon. My scrambled eggs were perfection, though. My husband loved the Huevos Rancheros (and he is Mexican) but his pancakes also didnt have hardly any fruit on it, only a few slices of strawberries and the strawberries were bad. We both got a fresh veggie juice and they were delicious! I came for breakfast again today by myself. I got the kale juice today (last time I got the beet one) and the juice was delicious! I ordered the eggs benetetto (sp) this is the one with the roasted peppers, spinach, and pesto. AMAZING! SO good! I will def get this one again. the potatoes were also perfection. The woman next to me got the blueberry pancakes and again, she had maybe 8 blueberries on top of her pancakes and the blueberries were on top and not cooked in the batter. WTF? Their pancakes are expensive! They should be swimming in fruit! I digress. I will def come here again, but I think their pancakes are not worth it and will never get pancakes again. read more

This was my "never again visit" 1. The food was incredibly slow. 31 minutes from order to food for me. The same for the people next to me. They were getting up to leave when their food finally arrived. 2. This is second time I've been at this place where there are empty tables yet they make people wait. This time, there were 3-5 tables constantly open in the fireplace area alone and yet people were being told there was a 15-20 minute wait. 3. The delays weren't limited to food or seating. An elderly couple brought their check to the hostess who told them they're supposed to pay their server, to which they replied "we've waited 20 minutes and they never came back" Never again **** update **** The manager asked for me to try again, so I did. Betters ... the wait to be seated was shorter and the food was brought out much faster (8 minutes) Bads ... 5 empty tables with 6 groups waiting to be seated when I arrived. I got my first take out breakfast from here today. I got the pork roll Sammy, my wife got the salmon benedict. We both agree a great meal. I mean that my bagel very fresh and the side of home fries done perfectly. My wife's salmon was good only thing negative for my wife was alittle too much onion some she removed. But all in all it would not deter either of us from ordering again. I picked up my order (masked up) of course, the restaurant is spotless and staff courteous and attentive.As I said we will be back. read more

We came to PA from NY for soccer tournament, and picked Turning Point to meet up with our PA local cousins on day 1. Karen, the hostess, supported the hostess in training, and sat us with a smile. Shaia (I think that's her name), was amazing. My daughter spilled strawberry dipping sauce everywhere, and Shaia and another server came to rescue immediately, and with their patience and smiles! We had such a good experience, that we came back the next day, and it was even better! Karen was super nice and helpful during our entire meal and really made our experience nothing but the absolute best! Alexis was our server, and she was just as fabulous!!! I have always heard great things about this restaurant and this was my first time. Today I went with my son and after a long wait we started with the bacon lollipop. 5 slices wrapped around baked apple slices. $8 Not bad but pricey and burnt. Waited quite some time for our meals (over 40 min) but I understood they were busy. When our meals finally came, my son was happy with his cinnamon pancakes but my avocado toast with eggs was not great. Totally burnt toast with ice cold avocado spread and luke warm eggs on the side. I didn't want to complain because this would embarrass my teen. I would never order this again and I left unsatisfied. This burnt meal should never have been served. Food is excellent, however, can you not get 20 grit sandpaper in place of toilet paper for your paying customers? People drink a lot of coffee, they have to go to the bathroom, it happens to all of us. You can't be weirded out that that I'm saying it because you thought it. We tried here for the 2nd time today and won't be back. While the menu is intriguing and options varied, the food quality is not up to the pricing and the service is fair to poor. At these prices, I would expect knowledgeable team members. My Huevos Rancheros were a muddled mass of potatoes with only minute flecks of the expected chicken chorizo. The server did not inquire about how the eggs were to be done and so I received over-cooked scrambled. The whole meal was dry. The server should never have been allowed on the floor as she was ill to the point of disgusting with a nonstop sniffle that was, sorry to say, visibly noticeable. Ya all gettin my "drip"? When Turning Point first arrived to the area, I had no idea what it was. I thought it was a place for senior citizens. Finally, one day my wife and I decided to try it for breakfast. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is how bright and clean it is. It's very airy, if that makes any sense. There's a small bar area to the right with TV's. We were there on a Friday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. There are plenty of menu options. I ordered the Grand French, which is thick sliced brioche French Toast served with whipped butter and fruit. It's good, but there's truthfully nothing exciting about it. My wife ordered chicken and waffles. It comes with fried chicken tenders, which might turn some people off who would prefer bone-in chicken, but it was perfectly fine. It was also topped with chopped smoked bacon, sundried cranberries and a delicious homemade sausage gravy. We were a little skeptical about the cranberries, but it complemented the rest of the dish nicely. The chicken and waffles was delicious and is a must try if you like chicken and waffles and don't mind pork on your fork. Turning Point also has a nice selection of omelets and various egg dishes. I'll definitely be returning. In fact, this may be one of my regular spots in Montgomery County moving forward. read more

Service and food leave a lot to be desired. We waited 10 to 15 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge us and offer water while the restaurant was half empty and she was hanging out right next to us at the counter. When she took our drink orders she got one wrong and then told us we ordered it that way. She then forgot to bring out some food we ordered and we had to ask for it to be taken off the bill. Took close to 45 minutes in a half empty place for two breakfast entrees, while other tables got their food before us despite coming in later. The whole time she had a sour attitude like we were inconveniencing her by eating there. The food and coffee itself wasn't great, similar to a chain breakfast spot but with a premium price tag. Coffee was weak and watery, eggs and sausage were dry. Pancakes were okay but the waitress didn't bring us butter or syrup until we asked. Seems like Turning Point wants to be a trendy brunch spot like Sabrina's but lacks the quality or service. Maybe other locations are better but definitely won't be back here with so many great breakfast spots nearby. read more

Then we ordered about 20 minutes later, waited almost 40 minutes just to be told by our waitress that she forgot the press the button to submit the order. read more

This was my second visit to The Turning Point, and I won't be going back. While the food was fresh and delicious- I had the lemon blueberry pancakes, the service was SO SLOW, my second visit was the second time it took almost an hour to get our food (we both ordered pancakes and it was a Thursday morning, so not that crowded,) the first time I visited was during the lunch rush and it took so long we ended up getting our meal comped. If you are looking for good food this is a great stop, but if you are looking to be in and out in 90 mins, keep looking. read more

My kids and I are regulars of Turning Point! We first fell in love it last summer when we met friends for breakfast here. It's a hidden gem that we never knew was here! Turning Point quickly became our "go-to" morning spot for a consistently delicious meal! It reminds us of a down the shorelike atmosphere with a more upscale meal than any diner would serve. The pancakes are a huge hit with my kiddos and I always order a healthy omelet with a side salad! The menu has a a great selection and I always walk out with a cup of left over coffee from the pot they gave you (you don't normally get that at most places;) Since we are so come every weekend we've been getting to know the familiar faces of the servers that take such great care of everyone who walks through their door. I've frequented the Turning Point in North Wales many times, and the Turning Point in Blue Bell twice. However, this will be my last time going to the Blue Bell location. As usual, Turning Point was insanely busy, as it was around 11:20am on a Sunday morning. We were seated about 10 minutes in. The ambiance, as always, is very cozy and welcoming, as most of the chain has the same general motif. My girlfriend and I ordered the Devil's Coffee french press, and I ordered the Big Easy Benedict (my usual order) and she ordered the Grande Huevos Rancheros with scrambled eggs. Our waitress (name withheld because I'm not on any witch hunt) quickly took our order, and returned with our coffee. I have two complains about this venue. Once our food came out (not by our waitress, but someone who seems to work in the kitchen,) my girlfriend's eggs were sunny side up, not scrambled, and the potatoes for my benedict were incredibly inconsistent. Some were warm, some were cold, others were soggy, but overall unsatisfying. However, I didn't even get an opportunity to address these concerns, which begins me to my second point. The waitress was incredibly rude! Not only did she melancholily place our coffee and walk away, she never even came back to ask us how the food was or asked if we needed anything else. Now, I understand that, considering how busy it was, she could have been busy, but I saw her standing at the waitress corner where the registers were and socializing with her peers. My girlfriend and I didn't want to finish our food, so we decided to wait for our waitress to get the check to no avail. I got so fed up that I eventually asked another waitress if he could get my check for me. He apologized for this and asked who my waitress was. I said "I don't know, I didn't get her name when we came and she hasn't come back since," when she finally swooped in and muttered "she wasn't finished her food so I thought she wasn't done, you don't need to give no attitude." My girlfriend convinced me not to make a scene, and we decided to leave the waitress a 12% tip, which was far more than she deserved. I was NEVER treated this rudely at the other Turning Point, I would give this place zero stars if possible. If you're looking for a brunch place that actually cares about their customers, look elsewhere, or stomach the extra gas milage and go to the Turning Point in North Wales. read more

Would give NO STARS! I was excited to try turning point for the first time with my 6 year old daughter. I was extremely disappointed with this establishment. I tried joining the waitlist 3x before arriving and every time it said the waitlist was closed. When we arrived it was an hour wait. We decided to wait. Finally I received a text that our table was ready after an hour. I walked in and had to wait in another line before even getting to the hostess to tell her I received the text. We finally got seated. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate. When the server brought it out she said it tasted like cinnamon and he said no there is no cinnamon in it. It's hot chocolate. After about 2 min a woman comes out and says I'm sorry you got a chai latte .....here is your hot chocolate. Needless to say my 6 year old was already consuming the caffeine. I understand people make mistakes so even though I was frustrated I let it go. Then our food comes out. My daughter order fruity pancakes, eggs and bacon. I ordered the breakfast combo. Both of us received burnt bacon (I took a picture). It was literally pure black on the edges and was not edible. I'm also not one to complain in a restaurant due to fear of my food being messed with so I didn't say anything. The pancakes we both record were also flat and tasteless. On top of everything else I received my bill which was $43.04. And still left a tip making my payment $50. It was myself and my 6 year old. We go to first watch on the regular and my bill is typically $30 with a tip. I'm so disappointed in this food and the fact that it was costly for no reason. The waitress service is usually good but the problem seems to be the kitchen. longer than average waiting and extremely poor quality food. It seems the new business model is give people less quantity/quality and charge more. A little tip if you can't serve the people inside the restaurant stop trying to do take out. Placed a to go order on 1/19. This is located in a newly developed shopping center off of Dekalb Pike. Upon arriving I was greeted and told my order would be right it. The restaurant was very calm & CLEAN!! I would definitely try my luck on going to one of their locations for weekend brunch. I grabbed my order and pulled off. To my dismay when I arrived at my destination it didn't appear thy my order was correct and there was a side of sausages and my bag. I don't eat meat so this was puzzling to me. I opened the container to discover what appeared to be an omelet with cheese and spinach ok I can live with that but as I cut a piece I discovered it contained some type of meat. I called back & the very pleasant gentlemen apologized to the mix up and said that they would remake my order if I wanted to come back or they could just refund my $$. I told them that I would like them to remake the order and I would be there in a bout 15 minutes as I was awaiting my daughter to finish up her orthodontist appointment. When I arrived the second time the food was waiting for me on the counter with a slip where they had voided the original charge AND a card to come back and done with the meal on them! I was so surprised. The server was very apologetic along with one of the managers. I LOVE GOOD customer service!!! I would 100% recommend this restaurant and will be back soon to use my coupon. This place has got to get its act together. Thirty minute wait to be seated was more like 45. Waitress was nice but food took forever to come out. Waitress did apologize for the long wait and asked if we wanted fruit or salsa and chips. Took the fruit; it was old and pineapple was turning brown. Once the food arrived, it was good but waiting 45 minutes for breakfast meals is crazy. Plus they mixed up the eggs as I wanted over medium and got the over easy ones that were ordered by the person I was with. They had to be short staffed in the kitchen. I just love a good breakfast and this place gets the job done. The scrambled eggs were perfect, good and fluffy, and the sausage links were excellent, plump and beefy. Waitresses here are always very accommodating! I love their lobster Benedict and their French toast! Honestly, I've never had anything disappointing here. Their nj devil blend is far more flavorful than Starbucks for sure. One down side is that their utensils, dishes, coffee cups, etc are never clean. read more
