Usually expect to wait about 30 minutes or a weekend morning or later afternoon for a table but worth the wait. The hot chocolates and chai tea lattes are our favorite drinks. Went for a late breakfast with my daughter on Sunday. She was thrilled to see the vegan breakfast combo on the menu and we both enjoyed our meals very much. We also were very pleased with the server as he was very attentive and clearly made every effort to make the experience a good one for us. Turning Point has always been just an okay location to eat, but after coming to this location a few times, I left disappointed. The most recent time I went to this location, I ordered a skillet with ham. The ham truly tasted like hot dogs which is absolutely disgusting. The fruit I ordered was all mushy and over ripe. The staff was kind, but even they were more interested in talking to each other rather than serving - which I get because work is hard especially in the time we're living in. I also have to mention I believe I got food poisoning from this most recent encounter with Turning Point because my stomach was upset all day. I would say stay clear of this restaurant, but they have good and bad days. read more

I've been to almost every Turning Point in New Jersey over the years. I recently moved to Monmouth County and ordered delivery from the Little Silver location. I specified gluten-free on my order (for health issues) and instead was given an English muffin. The uncooked avocado in the egg dish was brown. The side order of Taylor ham from my friend's order with so overcooked that it's black . My wife and I got take out from here this morning. Very simple egg and cheese sandwiches with avocado on ciabatta bread. They were great! The OJ is fresh squeezed and delicious. I used to visit the Turning Point on the waterfront in Hoboken often when staying at my cousins. Their breakfast was awesome! So, when I found this Turning Point near his new house in Fair Haven I couldn't wait to visit. We'd been looking forward to their breakfast all weekend. Unfortunately, this location didn't bring the same flare. Was the breakfast ok? Sure. And, much better than a Dennys, IHOP, diner, etc. However, it didn't hold a tune to the location in Hoboken. I ordered the Wilbur Skillet and it was fair. My cousin ordered the Tuscany omelet and he, too, left with a ho-hum attitude. What was wrong with it? Honestly, everything was bland. The meal was fine, but lacked any substantial flavor. The potatoes were tasteless. The bacon was just blah. Fortunately, the wheat toast tasted fresh - and great. Hopefully, this was a case of someone forgetting the spices and an isolated incident, because the other location - rocks. read more

We have been to this location many times since it opened over twenty years ago it's all ways been deserving of 4stars more or less. This morning we walked in and noticed that there's an air of things being very disorganized no one to greet or seat customers even though later on I noticed 2 people acting like managers but not running anything. There were 5 or 6 occupied table our wait person took a very long time to come to our table we ordered the food was pretty good as usual but the problem is the way that the place sadly has changed the floors look like they haven't been cleaned in a while full of dirt and it was 8:30 in the morning very discouraging that whoever is charge does not care as a Long time guess it hurts to see what's going on. read more

Great place for breakfast or lunch! I had the Pavo Cubano sandwich which was noted as one of their signature sandwiches and I would say I was pleased. My hubby had the Pesto Chicken panini which isn't a signature dish but we both agreed that his sandwich was better than mine. For a bevy, I had the delicious caramel swirl that came with a sugar stick which was a nice touch. The menu had a lot of variety and had an extensive non alcoholic drink list. I would consider this an upscale diner since the menu definitely leans towards healthy eating. No fries on this menu. Overall great place with a nice east coast feel atmosphere. We've gone to the Long Branch location and both are equally great except that the LB location has a much bigger patio and restaurant with nice views of the ocean. The LB location can also get busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait for a table. read more

Some restaurants just *get it* during this crazy time. I have eaten here four times throughout the pandemic- once take-out, and three times outdoor dining. The procedures are very effective, and after seeing how diligently staff cleans tables and handles customers, I feel safe eating here and am very confident that you will have a great experience. The food is out of this world. My family has probably tried the whole menu collectively and have never had a bad order from salads to eggs to pancakes. Coffee and orange juice are amazing too. Have only had breakfast here several times. Food comes out freshly made (except breakfast potatoes can sometimes be cold). Single origin french press coffee is a great option but depending on who's making it can be somewhat weak. Real maple syrup is a nice option for the excellent pancakes. Along with Edie's, Turning Point is another breakfast and lunch restaurant that's in my town. The ambience is a bit more upscale than Edie's, and it feels more spacious too. The food tastes like it came out of a box. It's antiseptic, tasteless. Just one example, "fresh squeezed" orange juice may have been squeezed from an orange at some time and some where, but it's not done recently and likely not done at the restaurant. It's odd because they make a big deal of confirming you want fresh squeezed when you order orange juice, but then they bring out juice that looks, smells and tastes like it came out of a plastic jug. I go to the turning point at this location every once in a while to get take out. Usually the salads. They are pretty good. My issue is they have a difficult time keeping track of who's food is who's. I've gotten the wrong food a few times. Today they couldn't find my order at all. When you have limited time to get in and out of there...it's not worth the effort. If you have time to sit down and eat (because it is not speedy), then it's fine. read more

I've been eating here for a long time. I started off dining at the TP in Holmdel. When I moved to Rumson we continued with TP Little Silver. Like every place when you first start going it's great. I think sometimes when you get too big that you loose control of quality. I'm not saying the food isn't good but sometimes it's inconsistent. They mess up on salads and sometimes when you pick up they give you the wrong dressing and you don't realize till you get to your destination. The breakfast is pretty good. Although again sometimes better than others. So I give 3 stars if you want a sandwich or salad. It's good but nothing extravagant. read more
