Disappointed today. Turning Point is a regular weekend breakfast routine for my daughter and I. Today it started with the host giving our table away right in front of me and made us wait an extra 15 minutes as they continued to seat 4 more tables. I asked why we could not be seated after they accidentally gave our table an away they told us we had to wait. Then my daughter began to eat her wrap but bit into a hard black thing the size of a quarter. We opened her wrap and it looked like scraps out of the trash. She went to the bathroom and threw up the rest. I told the manager about this and she said it was the distributors fault and only took off the wrap from the bill. I could not eat my meal after seeing her food. We left and unfortunately will not be back. Now we will look for a new breakfast spot. read more

This was our first outing since the pandemic and we were thoroughly impressed! They took all the safety measures! Tables were far apart, they were cleaned and everyone wore masks. I like the variety of options on the menu and you can tell the owners are influenced by muliple types of food. There is pretty much something for everyone on the menu. I will be the first to admit that I'm not a breakfast or brunch expert. It is not my favorite meal, and as far as egg options go, I can usually prepare them better myself. But I do crave French toast, pancakes and waffles from time to time. And when I see unique offerings of these, I usually have to try them. I kept seeing Yelp reviews of various TP locations, so it has been on my radar. With a day of fall activities planned in the Marlton area, this spot was selected. I hesitate to give 5 stars after one visit and 2 options sampled, but I'm more than a fan already. My gf ordered the banana, nut and granola pancakes, she loved them and I agreed. And I was pleased to see that it came with real maple syrup. My choice of a special of the month was even better, fall harvest pumpkin waffle. It came with pumpkin spice whipped mascarpone, dried cranberries, candied walnuts and a brown sugar rum sauce. This was definitely the best waffle I ever had, and possibly the best breakfast. As a hot chocolate lover I am thrilled with their interesting choices of this beverage, the s'mores was great. We found the service to be excellent on this weekday, in fact our server took the time to recommend their rewards program. We took her advice and it seems to be a great deal. I've been a customer at this location for years now. I've always experienced great customer service, and love the atmosphere. Although, recently it seems to have gone a bit down hill. My boyfriend ordered the Big Easy Benedict, it came out unevenly layered with a handful of cold potatoes scattered next to it. I ordered a skillet which also came out looking really sloppy and was missing ingredients. I'm not sure what has happened with the restaurant lately, but it seems everytime I come here it becomes more and more of a let down. After seeing the massive lines this place has on Sunday afternoons, I was eager to check it out. Very happy we did. The food was great. We ordered the "Martha's Vineyard" salad which was berries, toasted coconut, and chicken. Everything was fresh. The tuscany omelette was very filling. Everything on the menu looked delicious. No complaints on the food here. Plus, everything was a fair value for the price. The only issue-they don't seem to have a good handle on clearing tables and handling wait times. At 12:30, we put our names in and were told the wait would be 40 mins. As we were waiting outside, I noticed 3 of their tables were waiting to be bussed. 20 mins passes by- the tables are still not bussed. This happened several times while we were eating too. I hate that this restaurant toppled my now former banana nut pancakes at 'The Lamppost' in Blackwood, but I have to give credit and props where rightfully due! I ordered the 'crunchy monkey' pancakes (see pix), which boasted fresh bananas w/ honey coated granola - ummmmm! The combination was so good, plus the great taste of the pancakes themselves. I think I probably made happy sounds after each and every bite. These things were sumptuous!!! In fact, I got a 'Perks Card' ($10 for the year) to show w/ each future visit. I know you get a free entree on your birthday (either for breakfast or brunch) and also a free special at our next visit, which shall be soon! I explained people were flying in from out of town so if he couldn't guarantee me a table I would find somewhere else so we weren't screwed last minute. He assured me it would be no problem and there was a back room that could fit us. He took my name and number down and told me to call a few days before just to confirm the number of people and we would be good to go. Today my sister called to confirm and we were told we could not be accommodated. Her wedding is tomorrow so now we are screwed which is what I tried to avoid. The establishment is pretty nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoor and it's got a lot of seating. The first thing that caught me by surprise was ordering the iced coffee with vanilla and they gave me vanilla extract ( I liked it! ) The food was really good. He had salted caramel waffle-- didn't taste salt but it was good. I had chicken and waffle. It came with a sausage gravy (I got it on the side) it had cranberry and bacon crumbles. This was our first time eating at The Turning Point of Marlton and it definitely did not disappoint!! It past the eye test as soon as we walked in the door and were greeted with a big smile and a big welcome!! We were seated immediately rite near the fireplace which was perfect because it was very cold and snowing. Within a minute Cassidy was at out table with a pitcher of lemon water and to take our coffee order. I really enjoyed the chips and salsa - which were fresh and the salsa mild (I'm not a spicy fan). Both breakfasts were equally nice- tasty and prepared well - and our server checked in with us a sufficient amount. The bad: Wait times here are a bit obscene and the parking lot is a nightmare, too. Some of the best brunch food I've tasted, and the main reason for the five star review. Three friends and I called in ahead on a Sunday morning to find out the wait was an hour, but we got our names on the list. We arrived and checked-in, which we were not aware we had to do previously. They said it would be a half hour wait from then, but we did end up waiting an hour an half for our table. Fortunately, the quality of the food ended up being worth the wait. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was for sure spot on. I went with the Big Easy Eggs Benedict because it sounded like such an interesting spin on a classic dish. Cornbread with avocado, creole seasoned onion and peppers, and chorizo was the perfect flavor combination and had a bit of a kick. It was served with breakfast potatoes, which were also really tasty. They have a crazy amount of drink options so I would definitely try one of the hot chocolates or the fresh lemonade on my next visit! I have been to the Turning Point in Marlton two or three times now. This location is extremely busy, especially during the weekends. Be prepared to wait. It is larger inside then one would expect, there are two large dining rooms, a bar and also some tables outside. The space is very nice inside and reminds of being in a Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware store. There is a calming, relaxed vibe. The food is pretty standard brunch fare with omelettes, eggs, french toast, salads and sandwiches. The food is also made to order and tastes fresh. The dishes I have ordered during my visits to the The Turning Point have been good but nothing has left me with that "I have get back here again soon" feeling. The prices are not crazy expensive either. For the limited brunch locales in South Jersey without going into the city, the Tuning Point is a good option. 3.5-3.75 Yelp stars. read more

Got the Wilbur skillet & asked for my eggs over easy, the waitress asked me twice in response how I wanted them cooked and they came out over hard. I like brunch and all but Turning Point is definitely overrated. It gets packed in the mornings and there's usually a wait for food that's mediocre. This is one of the very few brunch places in South Jersey (besides diners) so I can see why the locals flock here. I went here on a Saturday morning and had a 30- 45 minute wait. I ordered the banana pancakes and wasn't blown away. You feel rushed to eat because it's so crowded and people are waiting for tables. Service is a little slow but that could've been because it was busy. The interior is plain and doesn't have that homey feel. Not worth the long waits and they don't serve alcohol. While this was the first time I've been to Turning Point, I still feel like the other locations would be better because they all have a view of some sort (Hoboken, Westfield, etc). With that being said, it felt like we just came to a regular spot for brunch. They placed my family and I underneath the sunroof, and it was fine in the beginning when the sun hadn't risen completely but then the sun was hitting my parents directly in the face a half hour later. The food was average in my opinion. We ordered Breakfast Nachos which had eggs but only covered less than half of the nachos. The Huevos Rancheros came in a wheat tortilla with potatoes inside but the eggs were decent. The avocado toast was pretty good. I also had a root bear float and had to keep asking for them to refill the root beer because the cup was filled with all ice cream and like 1/4 soda. All in all, we had a lot of egg options so I can't speak on the other items, but I would love to come back and try the french toast/waffles etc.But definitely not the Marlton location. read more

After an exhausting weekend at Monster-Mania Con, it was a quite a relief to eat an excellent brunch before the five hour car ride back to Richmond. We were lucky to get in when we did, because this place gets absolutely PACKED on weekends. We snuck in and sat at the coffee bar, and boy, am I glad we did. Our server, Scott, was the nicest waiter I've ever had breakfast with, and as a former Richmond resident, he had a lot of nice things to say about "our favorite city." We were greeted with complimentary coffee (all first timers get free beverages!) and I also ordered an Annie's Lemonade (blended pink lemonade with strawberries). Good god, that thing was sixteen ounces of the most delicious thing I put in my mouth all weekend! That is, until I tasted their chicken and waffles. Scrumptious, well-portioned strips of chicken with sausage gravy and bacon, and dried cranberries. I was a bit apprehensive about them at first, but Scott assured me they were good, and I now trust this man with my life. Each one added an explosive bite of sweetness and tang to this mostly savory dish. It is definitely a contender for the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, but big shoutout to Red Eye in Charlotte and Metro Diner in Richmond (read my reviews!) I don't think I'll be coming back to the New Jersey/Philadelphia tristate area anytime soon, but if I do, I know without a shadow of a doubt, I'm coming back here. Holy smokes. I honestly love this place. For starters, you can check in using yelp. There is always a wait so this feature is a time saver. The food is amazing. The service is exceptional. My mother is one of those picky mothers that think "I could have made this at home" but she didn't complain once. That's a win. My husband and my mom loves the coffee. Ever since we have visited I cant stop hearing about coffee at the turning point. I am very pleased with my experience. Parking is a hoot but it's totally worth it. My favorite part is the sanitary hooks in the bathroom. They allow you to open the door without touching the handle/knob.
