April 27, 2019 - 4 years later. A quick update. Service by Rachel was exceptional!! 10/10 Our eggs benedicts and sides were perfect. 9/10 My Power Trip vegan omelet was awesome. Meat substitute products are not hugely healthy but better than animal proteins, saturated fats, antibiotics, and hormones and gmo remnants etc. 10/10 Fantastic job!!!

Turning Point never fails to make a good breakfast! My Grandmom and I come here every few months to treat ourselves to a nice big breakfast! This time I got a Western Omelet with bacon, peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. It came with a side of toast and home fries. It was delicious and made fresh, but it was a big portion so I took the other half of it home! My Grandmom got pancakes and asked for them to be stuffed with blueberries and strawberries. She loved it...great classic pancakes she says. Not to mention they have a coffee bar at this location so they have all different coffee and tea drinks to choose from. I always get hot chocolate, which I highly recommend. They have a ton of neat hot chocolate creations, I have tried most of them and loved each one! As always, Turning Point is a reliable breakfast place and always look forward to coming here. ONE NOTE: It does get busy on the weekends so I suggest putting yourself on the waitlist or getting there early!

I love this place. Affordable prices with great proportions. The coffee was unlimited which is always my favorite thing at brunch places. I ended up getting the barbacoa benedict which was pretty amazing. I loved the use of cornbread in the dish. The barbacoa was perfectly made. The use of the egg definitely added to the dish. The place's decor was average but my waiter was amazing and very attentive.

Came here with my friend for breakfast before going to the Philly Auto Show and I gotta say it was pretty good. The wait was minimal and our food came out fast. I had the Southern Chicken and Waffles and it was really good. The perfect amount of sweet and spicy to start off the day. I also had a French Toast Latte and omg that thing is fire. It's gigantic and tastes amazing. Only thing I dinged this place for is I think the portions were a little small for the price. Can still recommend though.

    Flight of Pancakes

My parents are snowbirds and when they come home from Florida, their biggest gripe is that they can't find a good breakfast spot. Apparently Southwest Florida is the Land of Omelettes and Pancakes and Southeast Pennsylvania is a hellscape of sad diner food. So when they told me about their plight, I immediately directed them to Turning Point. I'm a lifesaver. Turning Point knows what they're good at and focuses on their strengths. The menu is mainly breakfast food with some light lunch options as well. This focus allows them to come up with creative takes on basic breakfast foods. The last time I went there I had the pancake flight, which lets you try 3 varieties of their pancakes. I went with chocolate berry (chocolate chips topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce- good but too rich for me), cinnamon roll pancakes (cinnamon swirl with cream cheese frosting- decadent but delicious) and lemon blueberry (OMG, heaven. Get these.). My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles which were chicken tenders and hot honey on a fluffy Belgian waffle. Don't worry, if you're not piggy like us, there are plenty of light and fresh options too including their "good and good for you" section. Or if you want to challenge us in decadence, check out their selection of eggs Benedicts or the OMG French toast. Since you're likely there for breakfast, coffee is a must and they have everything from the sugary crazy concoctions like a SMores latte to an excellent selection of French press blends. I recommend the Jersey Devil, but if you're looking for something iced, just know they make the ice cubes out of coffee too, so it's not watered down. Turning Point started in NJ so the inside has a nice, light and beach vibe that makes you feel like you're at a shore cafe. There's also a small outdoor eating area if you want to people watch while you brunch. There's reminders all over to be kind to the staff, which bums me out that it's even needed. Our server was a really nice young man who was super helpful and upbeat even though he was busy. It's easy to be nice with great staff like that. Some other final tips, it's BYOB, so bring your own champagne for that mimosa, don't bring a Discover card since they dont accept them (at least last time I tried) and be prepared for a possible wait. It's worth it and you'll be able to shop at some of the local stores while you're waiting or grab a coffee at their Cowabunga Cafe. Save yourself from the breakfast hellscape, hit up this gem in Valley Square

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!

Among this covid crisis, they got my order in over the phone and brought it to my car wearing a mask and gloves. I was quite pleased with the ordering and pickup process. NOW THE BUTTER CAKE.. I have had butter cake from other places, but Warrington Pastry is- HANDS DOWN- the BEST.

Two years later and this bakery is worse than ever! Ever hear of a Bakery being closed on Sunday?…read moreMe either. Sunday IS bakery day. After church, everyone goes straight to the bakery. On the other hand, maybe it's best that this place is only open 5 days a week, because their products are so gross! The donuts were God awful, but the Danish were still edible. Not anymore. The Danish "cake" is so bland tasting that they now COVER the tops with globs of liquid powdered sugar...YUCK! And, have you seen what they call "pie"???!!! If they are 5" around, that is generous. You could hold one in the palm of your hand and still see your hand! Maybe, (big maybe) you can cut three pieces from each one. The new owner is not friendly and really needs to learn how to bake. Trust me, if you want delicious cake, pastry, or anything you'd find in a pastry shop/bakery, drive over to Hatboro and visit, "Nonno's". Thank me later.

Let me start by saying that even before they sold the quality went down - cheap ingredients for sandwiches. But now that they've sold not even the bagels are good. Grant it I did pick up a "too good to go order" but compared to other bagel locations the cost was high and the freshness was so bad and the variety. I know I can't fully judge the quality because I didn't order fresh but their prices are ridiculous and the service was bad. So unfriendly and didn't ask if I wanted anything else just minimal contact and then I had to wait to buy other stuff because the person at the counter walked away. I won't be back. It's sad because out of all the bagel places in the area - doylestown to horsham to chalfont they used to have the best bagels and I can't find a place that is even remotely close to the quality they used to produce.

Went to pick it up, and though no one else is there, the gentleman took a while to come out. When I asked if the bagels were sliced he said no, that was $3 extra. I didn't have my phone on me to show him the website where it clearly says sliced for the trays. Then I asked about the cream cheese, as there was none in the bag. He said no cc, then checked the receipt, which said 1 plain cc, though the website says 1 plain 1 flavor with the small tray. I began to walk out to get my phone to show him and he aquiesed and gave me the cc. Then, when he pulled out my tea, he noted the reciept saying no ice. He shows me a cup 3/4 full of ice and asks if this is ok. I said no, I save the tea for my afternoon treat at work, and by then it'd be all water. He sighed and filled a new cup. Honestly, I was unaware of the ownership change, but I am sorely disappointed. Will not be coming back. Oh, and he still charged me $3 for slicing.

Driving by simply delicious many times on York Rd. I have been curious. Today was the day curiosity finally killed the cat literally and figuratively. When you don't hear anyone talking about an establishment locally, that should tell you something - when I asked others about simply delicious. No one had even heard of it. Come to find out it's been an existence for quite some time. What is basically a glorified coffee shop simply delicious yarns to be a posh café/bakery. In reality it leaves a lot to be desired. From the moment we walked into the unfriendly faces. The semi tableservice, (order at counter and they bring it to you) the overpriced food, and the coffee/tea served in paper cups. This is definitely not a sit down place. More of a grab and go type of joint. The hungry man sandwich was served on brioche "toast" that was dry crumbling, and not at all sufficient to handle the weight of the sandwich. The sandwich itself was assembled haphazardly and lacked any real cohesion in both flavor and texture. The platter special consisted of French toast bacon sausage patties (house made) and eggs your way. Mine were scrambled and were decent enough. The bacon seemed high quality but could have cooked a bit longer. The house made sausage patties were overcooked and tough with more spice than I would have desired. The French toast was well soaked in the egg mixture and more than enough for a serving. Probably ranking high on the list of French toast I've had. However, I don't believe it is a staple of the menu. It was a special of the day. I would only really recommend simply delicious when the yearning for a good scone comes around. Either that if looking for a quiet place to sit and chat with an old friend over a scone and coffee - there isn't much of a crowd so it would be the perfect place to catch up. As for me, and he, not likely to return. Far too many other options locally, that have better ambience, food, prices, and most importantly people who are happy to see you and make you feel welcome.
