Stopped by this cafe to grab a coffee. The exterior of the cafe is aesthetic, and the inside has an earthy, cozy vibe. There are a couple of tables, nice chairs, and even a couch for seating. I had gotten a hot caramel latte with almond milk, but sadly it tasted very watery, and was not sweet at all. My husband had ordered a hot chocolate, but his drink was also watery, and it did not really taste like chocolate. Opened in 2019, Native Cafe on Main Street, Doylestown, is a small attractive American/Thai coffee house with limited breakfast and lunch menu. Java is its strong suit, and well worth the price of admission. Although there are deuce tables in the shop and out front, they seem to occupied all the time by laptops and small talk, so actually finding a seat to enjoy your latte and morning nosh is more miss than hit. There is usually a long line snaking through the room, populated mostly by young mothers with infants getting out of the house for a break and to socialize. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg and cheese on soft bun) and straight drip brewed joe from a very good roaster. The solids were fresh and hot, but pretty much average taste. The coffee was far better. Dark roast and strong. Service was friendly, informative and efficient. Def a nice place if you have time to sip, chat or Google, but not designed for grabbing a quick caffeine and moving on. The queue takes any desired spontaneity out of the equation. One of our favorite spots in the area for breakfast! We love the menu and the Thai inspiration that flows through some of the meals like the holy basil which is a MUST it's so good! Best burrito ever! You can ask for extra spicy and they will make it Thai spicy which is SPICY SPICY! We noticed the burrito is getting a little smaller though which is a little sad. We always get the tomato jam toastie too which is very simple but very good! The tomato jam is just perfection on top of the best bread! I've been coming here for years for the coffee (which is always good and never disappoints), but this morning my husband and I found ourselves with time for breakfast and, curious, we went to Native Cafe to investigate their options. The menu is small and targeted, with Thai and western options. They did not have oatmeal, which disappointed me, but the mango coconut sticky rice was warm and delicious, and not nearly as sweet or as chilled as I thought it would be. The standout star however, was Jay's Breakfast Sando! A curried pork burger with egg and sauce hit every flavor one could want. The food was a good serving size, leaving neither of us feeling overly full or bloated, but satisfied. The cafe itself is small and cozy, so seating is very limited. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The pastries they have next to the register are also all delicious. We can't believe it took us so long to finally try the food here, but we are already looking forward to having time to have breakfast here again. read more

I was hungry, having fasted for blood tests, and wanted a quick bite to eat, preferably vegan. Native Cafe was less than a mile away, so off I went. Parking was a hassle, but fortunately a car pulled out and left me 80 minutes on their parking meter. If there is a private parking lot, I didn't see it. The menu is limited, however I was just looking for a quick bite. I counted 4 small tables in the back, and they were all occupied, thus I perched on a stool and small table for 2 against a wall. It appears that they have free wifi, but I don't want to get hacked more than 100 miles from home. I ordered avacado toast (I'm a Boomer, not a Millennial) and a cafe au lait for $14, and enjoyed the food immensely. I wish I'd brought my earbuds so that a could drown out the sound of people at 2 adjacent tables, describing their neuroses in great detail which I'd prefer not to listen to whilst eating. The tableware is plastic and I had to ask for an adult-sized table napkin. In summary, I got what I was looking for and was out within 25 minutes of my arrival and will try to unhear the loud monologues I'd been subjected to. read more

At this point I've gone here twice and ordered food - holy heck - and drink so I think I can adequately talk about this establishment. I ordered oat milk lattes both times and they were just delicious. Perfect temp, nice and frothy, warmed me up - yummy ! Now the breakfast sandwich I had - oh my chef's kiss. It was just a 'regular' breakfast sandwich- cheddar and bacon and egg on an everything bagel but it was perfection. Toasty, perfectly melted cheese, a little bit greasy and a really good portion. I did also have curiosity donuts from them which is super cool that they have them! I wish they had more seating - but maybe the lack of seating is a Covid consequence? Native Cafe is a nice addition to Doylestown! They have a great menu to choose from for food and beverages. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich, which came with two eggs, a choice of cheese and a choice of meat or avocado. It was $6 and excellent! I paired it with a latte and that was tasty too! Others I was with ordered breakfast sandwiches on buns and toast, along with chai tea and a regular cup of coffee. They loved their orders too! Service was also fast. The line moved efficiently and we got our orders quickly. The only downside to Native is the seating. It can fill up quickly, so you need to secure a spot to sit as soon as you see one! I'm so glad I finally tried Native Cafe and will definitely be returning. If you're between here and Nonno's, take the turn to Native. It's much better and will now be my go-to in town. read more

Native cafe recently opened in a spot next to our local bookstore and offers a wonderful place to get coffee, and a light breakfast or brunch. The atmosphere is chill, and the decor sleek and modern. Mostly there are two top small tables, with a fun round table in the back with low seats that are perfect for children. The walls are adorned with great artwork that compliment the decor. Coffee-wise the cafe uses Reanimator coffee beans, a local Philadelphia roastery that produces some of the best beans around. The shop has a full espresso machine, and hired an experienced barista away from another local cafe, so the coffee hits the ground running. They offer a full compliment of drip, espresso and cappuccino drinks, and have almond and oat milk alternatives for those who are foregoing moo juice. The menu is a split between east and west. The West side includes standard fare like breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, as well as soups and salads. The east has equivalents but with flavors reflecting Thai and Vietnamese influence. One special thing to note is the cafe features Nord bread, a local baker that uses sourdough starter and ancient grains to produce some of the most unctuous bread imaginable. Service here is impeccable, which is a credit to a place that hit the ground running the minute they opened the doors. Wifi is available, and the password is readily displayed at the counter. Other little details to admire are the use of flatware if you dine in, instead of plastic. Dishes are served on china and the espresso and cappuccino in appropriate cups. My first order there was a macchiato and a slice of Nord dark rye bread which came warmed accompanied by European butter (Plugra?) and jelly, which was a perfect light breakfast for a Sunday morning. Lately I have been seeing a medical professional in Doylestown and every time I go, it gives me an excuse to have breakfast in this cute town. We decided to try out Native and wow we were impressed! It's right on Main Street with a cute store front and simply decorated but so adoring inside. Their menu is minimal but we got the breakfast sandwich and the holy basil breakfast burrito and focaccia bread.the breakfast sandwich was good, had eggs on local ssourdough bread and it was a good amount for what it costed $6, focaccia bread had a nice touch to it, i love the egg that was baked on top! Let's talk about the holy basil breakfast burrito-- never tasted a breakfast burrito like this before!! It's thai inspired with lots of amazing flavor in and around in the rice. It's amazing and we'd come back for that! Can't wait to come back in the summer time for the mango sticky rice!
