Lamb and chicken kebab combo and eggplant salad

A lovely new Turkish restaurant in Bradley Beach. The food was delicious and quite reasonable. Looks like a family operation. Nice regional music also. Will be a frequent customer.

I've enjoyed the Branzini very much ( fillet it to avoid bones) Their balloon bread is amazing with the Tapenade they serve. We always get their hummus. And their grape leaves. The Shephards salad which Is mostly tomato &cucumbers w a flavorful dressing (we put on side) .. there's just something about using their balloon bread to scoop up your salad and dips... Yep, we always get a second order of the bread... It's very light and thin and doesn't feel as gluttonous. Everybody is very courteous... It's like going to a restaurant in the city... A belly like dancer surprised us on a Friday night which was fun. I don't really wanna recommend this too much because I don't want it to get so busy that I can't get in when I want to lol but seriously it's a really great experience. They do have wine, but we bring our own and they are happy to fill a glass! Enjoy

The food is delicious, 10/10. I've been here about 5 times and have never had a bad meal…read more The service on the other hand is very slow. Consistently. It takes about 30 minutes to get your food and even longer to get a check after the fact. Which is crazy because my table was only one out of 3 other tables in the restaurant. A 20% tip is automatically applied to your bill, and then still asked if you want to tip ON TOP OF THE FACT so pay attention to your bill! Part of me thinks the reason the service isn't as good is because they know they're automatically getting that tip, but another part of me hopes that isn't the case. Ambiance is nice, very beautiful and great place for pictures.

COME HUNGRY! I came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday with my husband's family…read morerecently. There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious, and the servings were generous. Efsane is a big space with ample seating, and nicely decorated. There is plenty of parking out front. It has a great vibe to round out the picture. I plan to return, and recommend Efsane.

Six of us enjoyed a terrific dinner recently. Service was exemplary and the overall theme is casual…read moreand friendly. We started an order of Mussels with a lime and cilantro sauce, Shrimp Torte (artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, shitake mushrooms, capers and green olives - in a white wine sauce topped with feta cheese), along with Octopus. Everything was terrific! Entrees consisted of a huge Cioppino consisting of shrimp, mussels, clams, wild cod, escargot, octopus and crab legs in a shrimp tarragon sauce over spanish risotto - way too big to finish! Branzino with oven roasted tomatoes over yellow corn risotto. Pistacio encrusted wild salmon with fingerling potatoes and butternut squash. Chargrilled Rack of Lamb with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. To finish off a terrific dinner we ordered the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Torte, Hazelnut Baclava and Banana Foster. As a remeinder, Lemon is BYOB.

For apps we ordered hummus and peaches with a sweet sauce and blue cheese. Both were pretty good - the pita bread along with the hummus was served nice and warm! The peaches were ok, there was a weird tasted afterwards. Like a processed taste. I couldn't put my finger on it. After 2 bites I was good. I ordered the Moroccan chicken for my entree. It was pretty good. Flavor was there, wish it came with more couscous. Now, the pricing of the dishes I don't really agree with. I know of other Mediterranean restaurants that offer really awesome dishes and the portions are bigger for a lesser price.

Wow wow wow! The food!…read more The presentation! The ambiance (gentle lighting, semi formal, but cozy)! The service! I was beyond impressed. The food exceeded my expectations entirely. This place was quiet at 5:30 on a Sat night. At 6pm a party of 4 came in and at 6:30 a party of 2 came in. I don't know how this place was not PACKED because this food is INCREDIBLE! Truly. This gem is hidden away in a plaza right off of the highway. The chef is also the waiter, and likely the owner. You can tell he takes pride is his food and knows exactly what he is doing in the kitchen. Although we don't eat meat, both the lamb and chicken specials sounded delicious and I am sure they are! Do yourself a favor and have an incredible meal here. This guy deserves to have a line out of the door!

I can see why the place was empty on a Monday evening when I arrived. The server who apparently is…read morethe cook as well was pretty slow and not very attentive despite the fact that I was the only one there, likely for the last few hours. Before I left, there was a couple who came in who he badgered loudly when they asked him for suggestions. He's definitely not a people person. He does a better job being in the back of the house as the food was grilled well. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and tried something different that I wouldn't normally gravitate towards. Lamb is not my favorite but I ordered it anyway despite coming in for the salad. I also had the lime and mint drink. Pretty expensive for a small glass and no refills. The food wasn't worth the price and the service was poor. I literally had to go to the back to ask him for extra napkins which he eventually took from an adjacent empty table. Did I mention the place was empty for most the of the time I was there? I also had to get up and go to the back to ask for more water and finally for the check. He was busy washing dishes the last time. Glad I tried something different but next time I do it won't be at cafe 28.
