A huge beautiful restaurant. The staff was friendly and professional. Food came out relatively fast. We had shepherd salad and fried wheat balls as appetizers. For entrees we had iskender kebab, salmon special, lamb sauté, and Turkish meatballs. All were great. Rice can with the lamb and the meatballs dishes.

This might be the best Turkish restaurant in Monmouth County! The ambiance is very relaxing . The food is solid Turkish and not pretentious. And the food is reasonably priced with good portions. Now if the service was just a tad more engaged, the place would be stupidly great. We had an engaging waiter who delivered at the beginning attentive service but after the delicious main was served, got lost for the night. We waited and waited for the table to be cleared after finishing dinner. We had the mixed grill with three or four different meats in it covered by a thin pastry and it was great! So were the boreks, which are fillo dough filled with feta wrapped in a cigar shape. The mix grill was suppose to come with veggies which never made an appearance. Still, it was great and leftovers good the next day. It's BYO so that's a plus. Got Turkish coffee and tea after the meal along with baklava and it was a nice finish.

Visited Golden Horn recently and had a good experience overall. We ordered the mixed grill with cover bread, and it was good. The chicken kebabs were just ok, but Adana and other beef kebabs were great. Juicy and well-seasoned! The service was decent--nothing exceptional, but everything arrived in a timely manner and the staff was polite. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving well-made kebabs.

From the moment we walked into this incredible hidden Turkish gem near the Jersey Shore Outlets, we knew we were in for something special, but we had no idea just how awesome it would be. If you're anywhere near Tinton Falls or Asbury Park and you don't stop here for dinner, you're definitely missing out. The soul of our experience? Omer. Omer wasn't just our server... he was our host, our comedian, and our friend by the end of the night. Kind, funny, gracious, and genuinely attentive, he treated us like long-lost family. He didn't just take our order, he took the time to get to know us and made our evening fun. Now, the food? Next level. Everything from the beverages and mocktails, to the fresh-out-of-the-oven pita bread served with olive oil on the side (with little olive slices swimming in it) to the appetizers, to the entrees was all stunning. If you love filet mignon and mushroom cream sauce, then stop reading over the other entree choices and just order the filet mignon with cream sauce. It's happiness on a plate. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it. We were pretty full after our entrees so we asked for the check. But Omer, with a grin, ensured us that we wanted dessert. He knew something we didn't. And the moment he rolled over the dessert cart, we knew he was absolutely right. There was a variety of options including a tres leches cake. Omer said it was his personal favorite. He told us it had just been made fresh before we arrived, and it was already the third tray they'd gone through by 6:30 PM that day. I thought to myself, "What does a Turkish restaurant know about tres leches cake?" OMG! Let me answer that for you. Everything. They know everything about tres leches cake, and things the rest of us didn't even know we needed to know about tres leches cake. This cake was divine. It had a heavenly layer on top with a texture and taste I honestly can't even describe. Just know it was otherworldly. When you're eating it, the world stops. Time doesn't exist. It's just you and the cake. Even my wife, who doesn't like tres leches cake because she says it's a "wet cake," couldn't stop raving. She said it isn't even soggy. It's just perfect. So if she loved it, then you know it's the real deal. If you're reading this and you're hungry and in the area, or just feel like taking a road trip , don't think twice. And you're welcome in advance for solving your dinner plans. Lol. And don't forget to ask for Omer. If he's there, then you're in for a wonderful dining experience all around. We're definitely looking forward to going back the next time we're in the area!

We have been wanting to try this place for a while. Absolutely beautiful and clean inside. Tyler our waiter really cared. Best service we have had in a while. We tried something new and weren't disappointed-lahmacun (meat pie) we had as a great appetizer. As a meal we split the mixed grill special for 2.... Def can feed 3! Such a generous portion we had a lot leftover. We ordered a dessert that was like a chocolate tres leches. So so good! They have Dubai chocolate desserts that we are going back next time with the kids. We met the woman who makes the desserts DAILY- nothing sits. She explained everything in kitchen is made to order and she makes small amounts of desserts at a time so that it's fresh. Super fresh and you can tell. Both my husband I rolled out of here. If you've never had this food before the waiter can help you along- I say TRY IT!!!!

Absolutely recommend this place. It is new to the area. I was turned off by the name, figuring it was a chain or something, but it's not. It's a hidden gem. It's beautiful inside. Food and service is great. Totally authentic and unique. We got the dip sampler and all six were amazing. And the mixed grill for two which was awesome and came in a giant cooked pita bread. Presentation was great. Tres Leche dessert was divine. Husband got the custard which he said was just OK. It's BYO, which is also nice if that's what you're looking for. Great date night place. Check it out!

Excellent food good service, nice place Lahmacun were amazing. Definitely a keeper. We'll be back

We have a new place to go after the outlets! All the tables are brought a balon bread which is like a pita but lighter. Everything was delicious! We had the Shepard Salad and hummus to start. Both were fresh and fantastic! Then we had some kebabs. We couldn't resist the baklava and it didn't disappoint. I also tried the kunefe. It was delicious out waiter Tyler was awesome. We can't wait to go back.

Sampler platter, Falafel and meat pie for appetizer. Beyti Kebab w/Baklava and Turkish Coffee for desert...Oustanding!!

This place was quiet at 5:30 on a Sat night. At 6pm a party of 4 came in and at 6:30 a party of 2 came in. I don't know how this place was not PACKED because this food is INCREDIBLE! Truly. This gem is hidden away in a plaza right off of the highway. The chef is also the waiter, and likely the owner. You can tell he takes pride is his food and knows exactly what he is doing in the kitchen. Although we don't eat meat, both the lamb and chicken specials sounded delicious and I am sure they are! Do yourself a favor and have an incredible meal here. This guy deserves to have a line out of the door!

Before I left, there was a couple who came in who he badgered loudly when they asked him for suggestions. He's definitely not a people person. He does a better job being in the back of the house as the food was grilled well. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and tried something different that I wouldn't normally gravitate towards. Lamb is not my favorite but I ordered it anyway despite coming in for the salad. I also had the lime and mint drink. Pretty expensive for a small glass and no refills. The food wasn't worth the price and the service was poor. I literally had to go to the back to ask him for extra napkins which he eventually took from an adjacent empty table. Did I mention the place was empty for most the of the time I was there? I also had to get up and go to the back to ask for more water and finally for the check. He was busy washing dishes the last time. Glad I tried something different but next time I do it won't be at cafe 28.

The service was excellent throughout the entire evening, and every cocktail we ordered was fantastic. We started with a few appetizers, which were the perfect way to kick off the meal before diving into our mains. For dinner, we ordered the Duck Rice, Schnitzel, octopus, and mushroom skewer. While everything was delicious, the Duck Rice and Schnitzel were the clear standouts. Both were packed with flavor, and the Schnitzel was an especially generous portion without feeling over the top. It was perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying. To top off the night, we headed downstairs to their cocktail bar, Laylow, and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was fun, the cocktails were just as impressive as dinner, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. If you're in Asbury Park, I definitely recommend checking out Reyla and making a stop at Laylow afterward. Great food, outstanding service, amazing drinks, and an all-around memorable experience.

We opted to sit at the bar because the vibe looked good. I had a lemondrop martini from the half price menu and it was good but a little too sweet. Then I had the Blood Sugar Sex Magic from the regular menu and it was unique and fun. I then had an espresso martini with dessert. I was feeling good after that. We did three appetizers: hummus, falafel, and the halloumi. The hummus had a nice texture but it could have used a little more lemon and garlic. But it was served with a jumble of fresh herbs on top which was very nice. The falafel was amazing. The texture was perfect: very crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Not like the dense falafel you get in some places. It was serviced on top of a delicious red pepper sauce. The server told me it was an old family recipe. The halloumi was fantastic. Very generous and covered in a very crispy coating. It sat in a pool of hot honey. They brought the appetizers out one at a time, which was the perfect way to pace it. We were pretty full by the end so we shared one entrée. We had the lamb kofta. It was cooked perfectly and sat atop a pomegranate labneh. It was also delicious. For dessert my husband had the chocolate cake which was only ok. I had the baklava malabi which was sooo delicious. Great meal and excellent service. Paul the bartender was friendly and made good drinks.

Again, this is really not the place to order traditional Indian food. The beauty lies in the modern, creative dishes and flavors. In fact, if you want to order a traditional dish, the owner will likely not let you!! But letting him guide my journey was the best choice because we had some exciting flavors that are unlike anything else you will try. My favorites were the bhel puri with guacamole (so good with some papadum to dip) and the malai kofta tacos. They were absolute flavor perfection and so unique. The ambience is super casual but the owner will treat you like it is a Michelin star dining experience! He brought out lots of fun (free) snacks in between the courses. Given this, I would prepare for at least 2 hours for the full dine in experience. Again, not what you would expect from an Indian spot in a strip mall but it was such an unexpected delight. Overall it was an excellent culinary experience but make sure you reset your expectations if you are looking for quick, traditional Indian cuisine. They also don't use seed oil and use pure tallow as fat if that is your thing. PS it's BYOB so make a nice night out of it!
